Yeah Pat won't be back with us next season but I didn't know it was because of retirement. Another player who might not be with us next year is Davy O'Sullivan. A lot of handshakes and man hugs came his direction under the stand tonight. Lets just hope he just likes the affection after every game and that this is a weekly thing with Davy!

I'm struggling to remember a time when Shamrocks fans were not blinkered & self obsessed
Now, now, remember it is of The Cup Specialists you speak.

Just what I was told TL I wasn't there but that was the talk. Wouldn't shock me if Davy left either, I'm sure one or two teams reckon he can be a regular starter for them. He's had this season to adjust to Premier football won't be at all surprised if he knocks in more next year as he has nearly all of the attributes you need, especially pace.

Don't care about Sullivan or Rice for that matter. Decent players, but a seemingly bad attitude to the fans and club. As for Sully, I would be horrified if he left.

Big signing.
Derry City just confirmed Paul Hegarty will notg be taking the managers job due to personal reasons. Patrick McEleney away to Peterborough on trial, Mark Timlin wanted by St. Pat's. We only have 2 players in contract also. I'd guess a big re-building job will be underway soon. Also rumours the board is going to be replaced

Asked Sully if he was staying he said he hasn't spoke to Tony I'd be devestated if he left, the last 3 games prove how important he is to us. As for Pat Sullivan couldn't care less bad attitude and while Rice will be a loss it's clear that he wouldn't be able to play 33 games next season he'd have to play a rotation role and I don't see that working so maybe it's best he moves on. From the players I spoke to last night very few seemed to have discussed their futures yet so let's wait and see.
Dundalk also meant to be interested in McEleney if the trial doesn't work out.

Outspoken, you better start doing up a shortlist to replace Sully as your man crush!!

First it was Tommo then Tiddler and now Sully is off. What an awful season for the fan favourites 😭😭

Not in Ireland, but I seen Danny Drinkwater referred to as 'Drinky' this morning on TV.

Is Timlin any good?
I was hoping we would get McEleney to complete the pair but best of luck to him over there.

I just wonder where Pat's are going to get the money to be bringing in many decent players next season? If the rumours are true, they'll be working off a very low budget next season.

Aye, he is. Arguably our player of the season. Scored 11 league goals this season too, our top scorer, I think.
Yeah, Patrick's another good player, and I'm sure there's some sort of buy one, get a second half-price offer on them two.

Ya he got a job with Aston Villa under 21's about a month after being sacked here. Was a friend of Lamberts apparently.

I had completely forgotten that. Imagine if he just stumbled into an EPL job.
Shane Duggan to Cork City again if Limerick are relegated, according to Limerick Live95FM commentary last nite.
An offer has been made for the player to consider even if Limerick are in the Premier next year as they will have to see what they can offer him when they know their setup for the 2016 season.

Duggan, Hall and Clarke have all had offers from Cork.
Clarke has also had an offer from Shamrock Rovers.

Stephen Rice let go by LTFC. Little bit of a surprise I guess though he's undoubtedly on the decline at this stage. Made a decent contribution in his two seasons though. Particularly last year.

"Bumper" deal from a top Dublin club. It's either Pats or Rovers, I'll guess we'll find out soon.
Someone on our forum saying Bucko is meeting Dinny Corcoran tonight. I don't think Sligo fans were too impressed with him this season.

We all reckon it's Pats. Hearing he's given us until the weekend to sort something. TBH, I doubt we'd be able to beat what he's been offered, our budget is getting cut again, and he's already working part-time in a pub as it is.

Club captain Mark Salmon let go from LTFC too. Tony Cousins making some big decisions already. Salmo made a great contribution over his six seasons.

Ah no..
Not the player he was pre injury a few years back, but a good head to have around.
Hunty's our longest serving player now if kept on.

Dinny kept Sligo up, heard he wants to get back to Dublin though, St Pats Portrane as opposed to Inchicore is where his priority is.
Apart from the future European money in 2016, given Pat`s dismal crowds last season, it`s a real head scratcher where the money is coming from to compete with Rovers/Dundalk/Cork to fund the signing/ retention of players ( apart from signing the usual Rovers rejects)?

They've all inferring that they're disappointed to be released.
