There's mixed opinions on Greene with Pats fans, I thought he was alright, put in the effort in a good few games where it looked like no one else was, scored a good few goals and is very versatile. He'll do well in the first division

Greene done well for Pats in the Premier, very surprised he is playing at LOI 1st division level.

If he did that well he'd have been offered a contract...

I found him particularly annoying to watch. Was good at the start of last year but finished very poorly. He ended up with 9 league goals which is a decent return

What position was he playing with pats??

Wide left. Rarely (very rarely) at left back. The odd time as a central attacking midfielder

Surprised the numerous offers he got from League One and Two didn't tickle his fancy...

You'd have to wonder if they were that numerous ?

Or if they existed at all.

If they existed they must have been very poor offers if they couldn't offer more than a LOI 1st Div club.
Some fellows seem to think they're better than they actually are.
Aaron Greene, a legend in his own mind :)

He'll be a good signing for Limerick. Did a decent job for us usually played left wing for us although hed did play left back, attacking midfield and up front for us sometmies.

Scored a good goal against Skonto Riga in Riga.

If First Division Champions 2016 Limerick FC have the title wrapped up by the summer break do people think they should be allowed swap places with whoever is bottom of the Premier at that stage?

I personally think First Division Champions 2016 Limerick FC would be well capable of pulling themselves out of danger. I take your point though and it ties in with my own. It would be good for First Division Champions 2016 Limerick FC to have some competitive fixtures, good for the club and good for the league.

The only other solution I can think of would be maybe for First Division Champions 2016 Limerick FC to be only awarded two points for a win this season. Or award any team that beats them five points or that gets a draw two points?

To make it maybe someway competitive then a point should be given for each goal scored against ye? Although a formality, if ye want to be in the same league as Premier Division Champions 2016 Cork City FC, then ye have to earn it

Greene is a frustrating player imo as he clearly has the ability but can drift in and out of games. His finishing is awful aswell.I reckon he is just plain spoofing about his numerous offers as imo he wouldn't drop to the first division of he had other offers. It will be interesting to see how he gets on at Limerick if he puts it in he will be excellent at that level but part of me thinks he might just go through the motions.

Rumours around Bray that we have signed a striker called Drew Lewis... Surely couldn't be the same bloke could it? Also talking to Paul Heffeenan

We've signed both Connor Gleeson & Eric Foley from Athlone today

Neither saw out the season with us. Foley left upon Mathews' arrival, and Gleeson disappeared before the end of the season without making any appearances.

Seems to be the same guy. Ex-Southport u19's and was playing in Finland recently. He played in the friendly against Limerick. Seen post on twitter earlier that he had signed but nothing official yet. Bray will have probably their strongest squad ever if both of these sign.

Was just talking about Deano with the old man last weekend. Probably one of the nicest lads ever to play for the club off the field, an absolute gent but you wouldn't know it by the way he played.

Sharkey and Kenny both confirmed as done tonight.

Cork looking for a visa so they can sign Ryan McLeod and they would then be loaning him to us.

We seem to rate this lad McLeod. I haven't seen him play yet, but when he arrived first my brother played against him and said he was awful. Then he played against him in another game and said that he was massively improved the second. It's very rare that we sign a trialist.

McLeod looked very good when he played against Galway the other night. He had some pace, a few tricks but also an end product. Will be interesting to see how he gets on over a season.

Very handy. Thought he'd leave us, though to Limerick is a bit surprising. He wasn't getting the game time with us at all.

Molloy to Harps is a strange one. He retired a few weeks back after having injury problems whilst at Crusaders. I know he was talking to us, but doubt what we offered was good enough.
Is it a rolling contract he's signed with Harps, or to the end of the summer/season?

When it's a Derry City signing, of course.
