Judas Dennehy and his brother Darren to Pats.
They're welcome to them.
Billy needs his protector with him.
It's getting hard to keep up with the comings and goings at the Cross and Inchicore- the Twitter machine suggests the Dennehy bring the number of new arrivals at Pats up to 8. Anyone able to summarise for someone too busy/lazy to Google it all?

Hold on a minute......Rovers are going to pay us €15,000 for Shaw. Are they sure it's the right person? I hope when it does go through that the men in charge in Tallaght don't get a shock when Gary actually walks through the door!

Would be shocked if Rovers paid the full amount. It'd suit neither party not to come to a compromise.

Depends what the full amount is. I'm not sure how it's calculated but he's been with us for five seasons. 15k could be the compromise figure.

I think I read in the Star a seasons salary resulting in the 15k. I could be wrong on that cos to think of Shaw been worth 15k is a joke and to think he was getting 15k a season out of us is an even bigger joke. But if true he was robbing the club for the 5 years he was with us. I would like to see his total appearances and goals scored. For a striker I'm thinking it looks very poor. I always thought he was your typical contract player.

€375 a week for 40 weeks = €15k, not that outrageous really.
De Town
09/12/2015, 7:43 PM
He's not on that much. I think the fee factors in how many years the player has spent at a club too, amongst other things. 15k is a great deal though.

It fcukin well is outrageous. That's some top-up on top of his full-time job.
Longfordian

That was just a guess based on someone saying €15k was a season's salary. I'd say it's not far off an average Premier Division wage to be honest. We had some players on €250 or so in the First Division and that was before we were properly challenging for promotion. There's still money to be made playing LOI.

Gary Shaw stats 2012-2015
2012 Appearances 23 Goals 5
2013 Appearances 32 Goals 3
2014 Appearances 35 Goals 17
2015 Appearances 39 Goals 7
Total Appearances 129 Goals 32
goals per game ratio:0.24
In earlier years for the first two seasons it was 0.14 goals per game ratio. It is a disappointin return for him all right. but his last two seasons were productive in terms of goals!

That would be an average wage at Longford with expenses including or possibly on top of that. Considering the amount of matches, 3-4 times training per week, travelling, hourly it's isn't anything outrageous. I don't how some players in this league particularly in the first division do it all just for expenses!

In a nutshell this is What Blues manager Roddy Collins said today.
1 A company has agreed to financially back Waterford United for next three years. Company and amount to be announced shortly.
2. All money owed to player's to be paid this weekend. Total is 350 Euro.
3. Two companies to subsidize two players.
4. Two companies to give part-time jobs to two players.
5. It's hoped to have a shop opened this weekend to sell new kit.
6. Willo McDonagh. Roddy Collins 'Jnr signed. Talks with Kevin Burns and Brian Nolan at advanced stage.
7. Three of four trial player's expected to be signed. A top class striker also coming when he gets paid by his last club.
8. Roddy admitted he is ''working with a small pool of people to put things in order''
9. This is the worrying point. He said it's up to the board to deal with historical debt ie to FAI. It's not his concern. What he is doing is for the players who will sign.
Take the bones out of those points.

Jesus, Cork will have more on the bench than they'll have in the stands if they don't stop. I suppose they need a big squad in case they progress to the later stages of the Munster Senior Cup

He was with Dundak under Kenny's first season, 2013, right back, he's not a bad player, scored a few crucial goals that year, I think one v Pats sticks out, lacked concentration in some other big games, I'd rate him mid table PD player, but can be solid enough.
He wasn't offered a contract for 2014, as Kenny got Gannon in to replace him. I think he may have dropped out of the league for a year around then, no other club came in for him, he did ok at Bray last year though, and he's definitely a good player for Galway, should do a good job for you.

He was excellent for Dundalk in 2013, the year we finished second to St. Pats.
He is a fitness nut and is currently doing a pre pre-season with Richie Towell under the guidance of Dundalk's s & c coach.
He'll give you 110%. He may lack pace but will add strength and solidity to your team.

Sullivan was with Shels in 2014 - maybe the same thing as dropping out of the league!
He was with Crumlin United for most of last season. Joining Bray halfway through it

The Hoops — who finished third this year — have not brought in any new players, while other clubs have been busy announcing signings. But it is understood meetings are planned this week with main sponsor Pepper Group and director Ray Wilson, who has previously invested his own money into the club, to discuss plans for 2016.
I would have expected these discussions to have taken place a couple of months ago. A lot of the better players have been signed up.

You appear to be imply that the report is not reliable
On closer examination
Shams finished third last season............... Correct
No new players so far............................. Yep
Nutsy looking for bigger budget................ Almost certainly
Shams were a long way off the standard required to win the league last season. He probably needs at least 5 or 6 quality new additions to make a realistic title challenge in 2016. Even then, I don't think that Fenlon's ultra cautious hoofball will work against the better sides

I'm sure we'd let them pay for Shaw in instalments amounting to €20k if they ask nicely.

I always thought Sullivan was a good player, played out of position at right back during his time at Dundalk - but did a decent job and would always give 100%. Even though I could understand why Kenny didn't resign him, at the same time he was unlucky he wasn't kept on with Dundalk even as a squad player. I was surprised no Premier division club never signed him when he left Dundalk and he had to drop a division, and then even more surprised he was out of the league altogether when he joined Crumlin. Was glad to see him sign for a Prem club in Bray and hopefully it works out for him at Galway. One thing you will get from him is determination and hard work.

Yep, he had a good end to the season and has formed a lethal partnership with Dave Sully since he arrived at the club so rovers can pay up or F@ck off

Sorry, I meant to imply that it's Bull****, Stating facts that everybody is aware of doesn't make the rest of the piece true, O Riordan is a Bohs fan who needs to fill a column, good luck to him.

It would be fair to say that this is true of all teams last year, Bar yourselves.

Gary Shaw and Dean Clarke confirmed by Shamrock Rovers. Good luck to Gary Shaw, always worked his ass off and scored some important goals in 2014 in particular. Nice to get a few quid too.

Clarke is the big signing but having a physical presence up front will be nice. Not sure what we're paying them with since we have no budget, but happy if they're going to play for the club for free.

He doesn't really bully centre halves but from what I have seen he can be an awful ****** to mark and is a good competitor in the air.

He loses more headers than he wins, I love Shawsy he's a great lad but this is one of the most bizzare transfers I've seen in years
