I see Ray "Chalky" Murphy was given ref of the year by the AUL, that's 2 in a row after winning Munster senior league award last year, some going isn't it. Must say I have seen him 7/8 times this year and he is a level above the rest!!

Cork aul football will return on Friday August 19.
The first round of the 2016/17 season will play out over the weekend beginning August 19 and ending August 21.
The Cork Aul confirmed the news was confirmed at the formation meeting this week.
The mid August start suggests a busy opening schedule as the Aul look to take advantage of the ability to be play midweek football in a bid to counteract any potential fixture congestion as the season progresses
