Took a look at Grattan tonight up in vincents and i must say there was at least 5 new heads there since two weeks ago. looks like there after putting a nice squad together out of nowere. They signed a new keeper and a few new lads most notible player was James Russell that was with central , fine player big strong and a savage engine and as far as i know theres one more cuming from blarney street this week..........watch this space!!!!!! fancy them to be there abouts again this year.

James Russell is an excellent addition to grattan United,solid player,with excellent fitness levels,heard Johnny Mac is back with them as well,he will make an already strong defence even stronger,
Eric Fleming has joined as well he'll add to an already strong squad.I think it's unfair people having a pop of Derek Daniels he is a larger than life character he creates a happy environment for players to flourish in.Paulie is no fool and he knew he was getting a good football man into the club when Derek joined the backroom team.

It's rubbish just like the holly lollisten kid thats a good club ..well supported by local shops and the community as a club they are well proud and so they should be big up to them to .it should be a full match weekend at last lads.

Barthez and long ball ye are hard men slagging off the Hollyhill inn and Knocknaheeny Celtic on this, I would give anything to see ye say it to Ken Crinnion, Tommy Hornibrook or Timmy Long or any other member of Knocknaheeny Celtic face. Knocknaheeny have come a long way in recent years on and off the pitch. Roy Anderson rebuilt that club from scratch and has turned it into one of the best run clubs around the place. Ken Crinnion has assembled a team to be feared and will do damage in every competition they are in, must be a sign that they are doing things right because people on here like having a pop off teams on the up. I know for a fact John Barry the owner of the Hollyhill inn is one of a few bar owners that backs local teams. There is a serious prejudice towards the northside on this again must be because the bulk of the trophies end up that side of the lee. Premier winners Grattan, Premier A Village, City Challenge cup Fairview, League 2 Crescent, League 2 a Knocknaheeny and this coming from me a southside man.
