YEs It's true very strange to be honest our last game is Thursday evening you would think all clubs would play the same day. Munster v lenister rugby final and the European cup final there might be a few no show's lads.

sure look he is part of the summerville r(oll)overs, I think wembley will hold their own in the premiership next season, but I think summerville rollovers will be back down to div 1A as they are not good enough even with Robbie Kelliher suppose to be going back to them.

i take it you are a prospect man i was at the summerville game against balla and the two bad injuries to ville players changed the game a lot of our players pal around with prospect players im sure they would have liked prospect to stay up as for next year time will tell if they are good enough kelliher would be a great signing i would not take the bait of the other fella he does not represent the summerville team just trying to stir which everyone knows.best luck prospect next year hope they get back up they have a good bunch lads

Just a quick one for the limerick lads on this forum, can you tell me if a player or players have played more than 5 airtricity league games last season 2010 which finished in november and overlaps the start of the current junior season would those players have to be re graded to play junior football?only asking here because i know their does be alot of movement between limerick and junior clubs.big argument going on in galway soccer at the moment over the rule with no one seemingly knows the answer.cheers for any response

Not sure how many games they have to have played but players had to be re-graded when stepping down to junior before. Up to the end of May 2010 (end of that junior season) anyway. I don't know if they changed the rule since. In saying that though two seasons ago (?) Shane Clarke signed from Janesboro to Limerick and about a month and a half later signed back to Janesboro again so not sure what had to be done there to acomodate that.

Shane signed for limk as an amatuer player, transfered back before window was closed, did not play the amount of games needed with limk that would have been required for him to be regraded.

carew park 0 regional 1
If carew walked off the field 4-1 winners I dont think regional would of complained just one of those night the ball would not go over the line. CArew hit the bar three time missed free headers, one on ones. Nil nil at half time regional scored on 60mins in there only shot of goal In 90mins.
That's it for another season not a bad season over all finishing 5th build again for next season.

Congrats to pike tonight on there league success.

R.I.P Damien and sincere condolences to all family and friends.

Also congrats to Pike once again. Some will argue the way in which they have had success but you can't argue the class of the players and the football they play.It will be hard to stop them again next year and I wouldn't be one bit surprised if they go on to replicate the same achievements once again next season.

Yep, I was told today that Fairview tried to get the game called off on Sunday due to the detah within the club and were refused (and its not the first time its happened to Fairview either).

That said, I still expect Fairview to be professional enough to get at least a point away to Mungret, but regardless of this games outcome, Star know that a win, will at the very least guarantee them a play-off (maybe even a 3 way play-off).

All I can say is the very best to all 3 clubs involved and may the best teams stay up!!!

I think whoever goes down with Shannon Town will both be early favourites among another 2/3 teams to get promoted from 1A next season.

I would agree with you almost fully, except I don't think Shannon Town would go back up again, not unless they really strengthen the team. I reckon Mungret or Kilmallock would definitely go straight back up, not too sure about Star though. There's 3 B teams in 1A next season which gives lots of teams a chance

Ha! Well hopefully 1A will be a bit more competitive next season. It's still way more competitive than the Premier though. Pike winning the league winning 20 out of 21 league matches, incredible achievement, but it doesn't say much about the league when Regional are 21 points behind in 3rd place...

tough luck on the relegated teams and i must say well done for shannon for fullfilling their fixtures even when they were on a sinking ship.. i dont think that any team can say that shannon threw in the towel..

Very well put leather. With the FAI in Limerick for the second year running and possibly the O.T trophy also this season you all took part in the best junior league in Ireland.Congrats to the winners, survivors and of course hard luck to the relegated teams and yes in particular Shannon town who just got on with it without feeling sorry for themselves and gave no walkovers. With the great work that the club is doing at underage level it will be only a matter of time before they are back in the Premier league.
