afaik he was relieved of his duties lastnight fairkop but i wouldnt be 100%. i heard tho that anthony tobin is taking charge of tonights game against kilmallock and shane and daithi will be in attendance but what there roles will be i dont know.

just not our night tonight view scored after about 40secs after that carew owed the game i thought we played really well hit the post through john boyle. missed some good chances cant believe we did not score but the centre half partnership of mcgarry and chucka will win the view alot of games chucka was immense everytime we got a shot off in the box he was there to block it. view down to ten men with 20mins left two yellows

yeah there was nothing between them in the Carew game, view scored an early goal, Carew owned the rest of the game, the Ref was very bias, gave everything to View

at view and carew match view got an early goal through christy doyle throu a mix up in the carew defence poor goal to give away. but i have give credit to carew park they had fairview chasing shadows for most of the game view midfield were destroyed by grant and pa boyle IMO carew were very unlucky not to get anything from this game. carews defence were outstanding (but for that opening min) they defended views set pieces very well. albert sla had to be lifted off the field from a disgraceful tackle from johnathon grant in the first half which IMO should of seen red i heard he foot is broke.

Star went 2-0 up after 30mins through Richie Flynn and Mick McDonnell and Balla pulled a goal back 5 mins before the break (not sure of the scorer), Star then went 3-1 up on 50mins through Shane Waters after a great pass from Brian Doc, Balla then piled on the pressure and scored 2 goals without reply on 60min & 70min, both teams had chances to win the game with Balla shading the efforts on target in the last 20mins..................

A draw was probably the fairest result in the end and I have to mention the performance of Shane Waters for Star as he really gave the Balla back four the run around with his pace.

Also to note that Star were without 4 good players from tonights squad.

with that post straight away people will know you were not there or your blind. anyone who was at that game said it was a cracking game of football the way it should be played on the floor. as for the ref IMO he did give alot of the 50/50s to the view but agree nothing major wrong with his performance but for the straight red grant should of got.

lads was at the carew game aswell and i taught their deserved at least a point, conseeded a very soft goal in the first 5 mins trough a mix up at the back but after that it was all carew have to say fairview defended very well but was shocked to see that for 70 mins is all fairview did was defend and try catch carew on the break with a long balls to grant up front but all in all you have to put the ball in the net and but for the post on 2 occassion we would of so its on to mungret on sunday and we,ll be looking for the same commitment and a few goals and hopefully 3 points

when view went down to 10men within 5mins carew went to 3 at the back and pushed on they were camped in views half how is that been negative.

Sorry js79,but I have to agree with footymad.there wasn't a whole lot of football played and neither of these two sides were very impressive tonight.Yes,Carew probably deserved a share of the spoils but that's footie for you.I've watched current FAI champs Fairview on a number of occasions this season and they've flattered to deceive.For the panel of players they have they don't control or dominate games the way they should.Carew can take heart from the fact that they are a battling and energetic side who give their all and what they lack in ability they make up for in pure doggedness.Both sidelines slow to give directions and make changes and some strange ones when they did.The standard of junior football in Limerick will hopefully improve in the coming weeks and months,it is early in the new season afterall.

Pike won comfortably 3-0, 2 from Frankie Stewart and Keith Hartnett.

Once Pike went 2 the fight went out of Regional, the 3rd goal will be a contender for goal of the season, Keith Hartnett connected perfectly with a volley from a Regional clearence just inside the Regional half, the ball bounced once on the Regional line into the net. Good performance from Pike who were missing quite a few, good to see Davy O'Grady make his return off the bench. Pike have also resigned Colm Carroll for the season and rumors that Brendan Daly will be resigning also. They seem to be ticking along nicely at the moment.

carew did not play well today by far worst performance so far we went 1 up through a great diving header from john boyle at the end of the first half. second half we had 2 great chance to get the second and kill off mungret hitting the post with one effort but credit to mungret i thought they played really well today and scored there goal through keith mcniclous great finish as always. after that mungret were the likely team and had a goal ruled out in injury time that looked dogey tpo say the least. draw fair result
