ya i agree with you if pike keep the same squad, or most of it, and add a few,fairview are losing a few so they wont be as strong.its definetly between those two as the rest of them all flatter to deceive every year and look what happens they all fall away as usual.no disrespect to any of those teams ie regional,boro,balla,but they have a long way to catch up in fairness.:)

I would say Shannon & star to go back down unless they both sign players and not just any normal players will have to be players that have played in Premier and for a bit not just 1 year..

I suppose the usual if Corbally or Carew dont Sign players they will be involved in the Battle but You would have to say Shannon & Star with the other having been there and won the battles... while saying that they seem to be the only 2 teams in premier Back training or am i wrong there. ?

sorry poolman but some clubs play junior football for a hobby and who love to play the game when the season ends most players sign back with there clubs not all. you might get a few players who would not want to resign with a struggling club and might move on etc etc but not when a player rings there secretary telling him he is leaving for a certin club because he could not turn down an offer from this club because of what he is getting off them instead of the player wanting the sign for that club. thats what has ****ed alot of clubs off yer a cancer to limerick soccer.

i know for a fact that pike rovers dont pay players,expenses maybe and hosp expenses,insurance covers their injuries if their out of work,now maybe other clubs are doing it who knows, otherwise its only all hearsay.now managers are getting it off clubs and rightly so for the time and effort they put into it,no-one should be out of pocket by playing junior soccer,people are jumping on the bandwagon the first mention of money, and the same clubs are blamed all the time,blue in the face from listening to it,i know players have said that they got paid off certain clubs,but they have given that as an excuse to leave that club,so white line unless you can come up with concrete proof give it a break because you are getting so boring same thing all the time with you.

Just to clear up why we don't get into the whole payers getting paid thing on this forum,any time we allow it to be talked about the first thing that happens is that foot.ie (*Adam the owner of foot) gets an email or a registered letter from the club concerned saying they don't pay their players and threatining legal action if we don't remove it from the forum.

Im just going on what he said. At munster junior and other games all he was saying ws he hoped they were beat and he hated them.


It would be bad form if he was to go to Pike after giving Geraldines his wor he would be their manager next year.

I know in the past alot of people in shannon disliked park as they were the top team and at times others teams players fancied playing in the premier in town and gave it a go. Those clubs then built up a grudge against park, which i hope does not hapen to ye.
It is great for the the Town A team & Park/Hibs A team getting promoted in their division, but there are still too many good players playing in different teams, there would be a good team between the pick of town and hibs A teams. I suppose that will never change....

Shannonman, how are the pitches coming along. Also i think ye will stay up if ye get a few early points to settle ye. That will depending if the fixtures are nice to ye or not. Ye gave Pike a tough games 2 years ago in the lawson in shannon, so i expect that the premier teams will not like travelling out there. Hopefully ye get a few new faces to give competition for places at least.

Pike were actually his first club as a schoolboy i think!Paul played up there for a few years up to the age of 10 before Pike withdrew their teams at all schoolboy levels.His affinity to the club lies further back than people think.........

Think the early fixtures are important alright..you dont want to be chasing everyone after a couple of weeks.
