i dont think its unreasonable for someone to be critical of scorelines such as shannons defeat to kilmallock tonight.a high scoreline occurring on a regular basis is not a good omen for the premier league and while there might be prevailing circumstances for an odd high scoring defeat ,if we see this happening often our premier league becomes uncompetitive and standards drop.

Well according to your earlier post we were a disgrace...we were poor tonight but at four nil we went three at the back and pushed lads foreward and were caught on the break alot. Don't get me wrong killmallock were worth there win no doubt. We'll be glad to see the back of the Thursday matches as the attitude seems completly different for those games...it's lucky now though we have a handy one Sunday morning.

thomas do you thing carew are out of the title race now (lost 2 and drew 1)

with all due respect bud carew were never going to compete with pike and fairview for the title nobody outside them two teams will challange them granted regional made a good start but dropped more points last night E.G pike going out last week to dooradoyle and hammering regional gives you an idea of the gap between the teams. for people to think carew was going to challange it was very unrealistic we were only fighting relagation last season that would be one hell of a jump in two months if we can get around 5th or 6th that would be excellant for us concidering were we were try keep our players and add again in the summer thats all we can do.

.

Surely Paul Doona is the first Kilmallock player to ever score five goals in the premier. Some achievement considering he is just turned 18. Should be marked with some kind of presentation from the club imo. Faces would you agree?

also there and i agree carew missing some big players but still had a strong enough team out. but i agree i think there manager looks lost when things are not going there way alot of players i reckon dont have confidence in him the way he set carew up tonight was really strange it looked to me he was asking people on the sideline what to do. it would be a real shame if he ruined a very good team when all players there.

are you are a carew supporter?bad stuff if you are....cant rememeber carew having a better start to the season in a long time..do you really expect them to challenge for the league?why did they sign for him if they dont have confidence in him..you didnt mention this when he won the first 3 matches..typical....if the players are good enough then whats the problem...i take it he didnt tell them to give star a 2 goal lead and see what happens after that..maybe you should ask him whats his plan and see what he tells you>>>>>>

I would have to agree with Fairkop on this one. It's the Premier League like and for a team to lose 7-0 at home to another team is ridiculous, and it wasn't as if it was against Fairview or Pike (no disrespect to Kilmallock)

no you need to go back and read what i said, i never said they were all playing poor i said carew were shocking that dose,nt mean everyone on the field was playing poor, and the subs he brought on were good subs and when thier fully fit im sure they wont be subs, what i said was the subs he brought OFF were strange because they were doing well when other people he left on were playing crap

just like to say well done to gordon stu and denis whelan for getting in the team of the decade. and for anyone who thought how denis wheelan got in we were presented with stats denis wheelan from mostly a left wing position scored nearly an incredible 200 goals how can anyone argue with that.

they picked 12 players basicly because denis wheelan recived so many votes from people that they had to put him in. pat mcgarry got an award for the left wing position :D alot of the midfield lads not impressed LOL but IMO pa is one of the best players ever to play junior football. but all in all it was a fantastic night

Gordon,Colm,Chucka,Pat McG(Not where he was picked) and Rob Earls were 'bankers' in my opinion.Dunphy was a good choice, either him or Mick Aherne have been the best right fulls over the years.Gaga and Jason P prob deserve to be in the team but some will argue they did not play enough in the decade.I would have chosen Albert Sla over Colm Heff as Colm didn't really play throughout the 10 years.Conor Lynch should have been chosen 2 up front.....

midfield 4 all from fairview how did they pick mcgarry for left wing pa mul got him in there anyway. i heard keith hartnett stormed out of dolans like a dog after the two centre mids were named when he was not picked poor old puffy cheeks must of got very upset.

Abbey Road

In fairness Pa deserved to be picked not on the left wing of course but was a 'banker' in my opinion to be chosen.Gaga and Jason are prob two of the best midfielders over the last 20 years so hard to argue against.Alan Sheehan overlooked 2,would have chosen Alan on the left of that midfield.

carew 0 pike 4

scoreline says it all pike 1up at half time pike scored 3 goals from set pieces to be honest we are not the biggest team in the league and they took advantage they are a very powerful team pike keeper pulled off a fantastic save from john boyle towards the end of the first half great save. he made an even better one that you would not see on match of the day from a free kick which he tipped onto the underside of the bar world class save. all in all we did not play well carew need to get back to winning ways soon we have slipped over the last 2 weeks.

ya have to agree pike outclassed carew all over the pitch carew did,nt seem to have anything except for a free kick from pa boyle and a effort from john boyle other than that it was all pike, carew need to get back to the training ground and start picking up a few wins in the next few games
