Incidedentally PS, the issue was about compliance procedures
Em - I raised the initial issue; I think I know what it was about. It was a simple yes or no question - Has Bohs' transfer embargo expired? Despite your whines, that's a question that's got nothing at all to do with Rovers, so stop going off in a huff when you're asked to stop dragging things off topic.

The transfer embargo was very much to do with compliance procedures as you well know. The nature of those procedures has been flavoured (not exclusively) by previous activities of SRFC (which you constantly appear to want forgotten about - come on out of that hooped closet ).
RE embargo - hope that cleared up the position for you.

Are you now suggesting Rovers got Bohs banned from signing players back in May?! FFS, marino.
I don't care about Rovers' comments about Bohs because - once again - they're irrelevant to the question I asked.
And yes, the position has now been cleared up, thanks.

Thats funny, because they never actually made a complaint. The letter to the FAI was outlining concerns in spending patterns since the SCP was introduced that still have not been explained.
Off topic so this is my last comment on it but according to the DAILY STAR - SRFC have withdrawn the issues they raised. if you want to call it "concerns" then fine but they HAVE been withdrawn (whether you feel they have been "explained" or not is of zero significance to that fact. End of).

Bull.
I went and read the article. Rovers, Bohs and the FAI had a meeting at which the FAI said they will not investigate the specific points raised outside of the normal accounts review process. Rovers accept this, and the phrase used was drew a line under it, but stood over raising their concerns. They withdrew nothing.
You are being extremenly disengenious in all you have posted today.
Surprised you have not accused someone of doctoring the news report in line with your usual way of dealing with such maters. Can we agree the issue is now over ?

YMCA, do you ever bother to post about your own team or is it always about Bohs? Obsessed.

Why not address the points he raises, rather then this tired diversionary stuff?
This obsession with an "obession" is worn out!

they had already been addressed in my opinion in this thread and in others. I was raising a new point, namely that the fella needs to stop obsessing over another persons team. I would like to see how many posts he has posted about Bohemians and compare that to the amount of posts he has made regarding Shamrock Rovers. I know that he must still be hurting after Rovers choked their way to second place but, come on, time to move on.

Weird? We're not exactly 'doing a Shels'. All right, it's a little disconcerting that we've only one player signed, but we were in pretty much the same position last season and we did okay -- and that was with Sean Connor at the helm.

Weird, in the sense that after an excellent first season (minus the discipline) in the Premier Division, you'd think you'd be looking to consolidate and instead your 2 best players (in the opinion of any fans I've heard) have been allowed go without so much as a whimper.

It must be money more than anything else, Dundalk are tightening their belts this season and from what I've heard on the LOI streets Drogheda are doing the opposite

They won the league, cup and setanta cup and pretty much got away with all their indiscretions because of a fudging FAI, hardly a bad return for them.

According to the media he's due back for Friday but probably going to push for the job by the Lee. Nice handy compo case for Floriana!

Ger Rowe to Shels
Arron Greene to Dundee United
RAFFAELE Cretaro should finalise his move to Bohs later today.
The versatile 28-year-old undergoes a medical with the champions this morning, having already agreed personal terms.
And if he passes with flying colours, the Sligo native will sign on the dotted line and swap the west coast for east.
Cretaro will be leaving Sligo Rovers where he has emerged as the key player for manager Paul Cook in recent seasons.
The Tubbercurry man has been converted from fullback to prolific striker and scored 15 league goals last season.
His goals also played a key part in steering Sligo to the FAI Cup final which they lost to Sporting Fingal after an injurytime winner.
Bohemians and Shamrock Rovers were fighting it out for Cretaro's signature and at one stage Tallaght looked a likely destination. The two Dublin giants can offer European football next season but the lure of the Champions League helped play a part in Cretaro's final decision.
At Bohemians, Cretaro will scrap it out with Jason Byrne and Paddy Madden for a starting position.
Meanwhile, Steven Gray's move to Bohemians from Derry and Barry Murphy's switch from Shamrock Rovers should also be finalised in the coming days.
Elsewhere, Dundee United are poised to finalise a deal with Galway United for talented youngster Aaron Green.
Dundalk striker Ger Rowe could be on his way to Shelbourne.
First Division Limerick FC have appointed Declan Farmer as assistant manager to Pat Scully. Limerick have confirmed that Conor Molan has committed to the club for next season.
there is no imminent lifting of the transfer embargo Bohs have in place for being caught cheating,
according to who? can you reveal your source on this please or else shut the eff up for once and for all?

In which case Pats would have every right to get compensation from Burton Albion - Paul Peschisolido did exactly the same thing, taking time out for "personal reasons", and next moment taking the manager's job there. It's not going to happen.
The reason they cite "personal reasons" so much is because it's vague and non-specific. Clearly both Roddy and Peschisolido were opportunistic, but that's not to say that you could definitively prove that in a courtroom.

BOHEMIANS manager Pat Fenlon has revealed he expects Joseph Ndo to quit the League of Ireland this winter.
Cameroon midfielder Ndo, 33, has been one of the most exciting players in the league since first arriving in Dublin with St Pat's in 2004.
But after lengthy contract negotiations, Fenlon believes the Ndo show may be over.
Fenlon said: "We're still talking to Joseph but I don't think it's going to happen. He's got a family to look after and has to decide whether he wants to stay for another year.
"It's not just finance, there are other issues with his family, he's been away a long time."
But while Fenlon believes Ndo will not be at Dalymount Park next season, he has re-signed the majority of last season's squad.
Owen Heary, Brian Shelley, Conor Powell, Gary Deegan, Paul Keegan and Glenn Cronin have all signed.
Also arriving are goalkeepers Barry Murphy and Chris O'Connor from Shamrock Rovers and Bray Wanderers respectively while Raffaele Cretaro joins from Sligo Rovers.
Fenlon added: "We got probably everybody we wanted. We've got most players agreed. If we can add one or two more, we'll be happy."
Fenlon has been nominated for the Soccer Writers Association of Ireland Personality of the Year award while Ipswich-bound Brian Murphy is nominated for the Goalkeeper of the Year award.
PERSONALITY OF THE YEAR NOMINEES: Liam Buckley (S Fingal), Paul Cook (Sligo R), Raffaele Cretaro (Sligo R), Pat Fenlon (Bohs), Michael O''Neill (Shamrock R), Gary Twigg (Shamrock R).
GOALKEEPER OF THE YEAR NOMINEES: Brian Murphy (Bohs), Chris O''Connor (Bray W), Darren Quigley (S Fingal, on loan from Derry C). (The winners of both awards will be announced at Lansdowne Road SWAI Golden Jubilee Banquet on January 15).
Question somebody may be able to answer: Has the Bohs transfer embargo been lifted or not? If not, how are they signing players?

Easy sign players but when it comes to registration the problems will arise

Bohs are still under embargo. None of those players are registered. They may have signed contracts with the company as employess though. If this embargo stays, which is possible, they have screwed the pooch bigtime. Even by their standards.
If the embargo stays as you so wish, we will be relegated for breaching the SCP.
If on the other hand, the embargo has been lifted, it means that these players can be signed and registered and all the bluster from the anti Bohs Brigade on here will have a fair bit of humble pie to get through.

Are any clubs allowed to register players at the moment? Do 2009s accounts not need to be looked at and 2010s budgets accepted? Seem to remember a few clubs having problems with that last season.
