Theres a rovers fan down our way reckons rovers have sold nearly 2500 season tickets now , can any hoops on here confirm..? With 6 weeks to go before the season starts that is phenonemal..?

Over 2010 anyway http://www.shamrockrovers.ie/news/35-news/1150-hoops-pass-2010-target

That is some peformance from Rovers on the Season Ticket front - they are on the up big time, and when they get there, no one will be capable of catching them for a long long time I fear

Dave Freeman to Longford is confirmed. A mate of mine heard it today at the PFAI vs Shels game.

That's a ****ing disaster  Just when things were starting to look up as well

George O Callaghan in Dundalk today, apparently told someone he is re-joining Dundalk.......

Thats would be a grwat signing if true, Foster is one who wont put up with his crap off the field and im sure there will be clauses in his contract. He seemed to like it in Dundalk as per a few people I was talking to that he spoke too.(including myself once upon a time)

Although this "genius/maverick" could do a good job for us, I'd worry that he'd go under again. The main thing is that it seems like the rats are leaving a sinking ship down in Cork.

We insist Juan, you can have him, 3rd time lucky! :p And we'll even throw in a couple of Dundalk Democrats and an Argus gift voucher (that's the Argus newspaper befor eyou get excited), plus we'll shout for his train ticket down (one way of course).

I think, weecountyman, we've found the perfect solution to our problem. I'll go halves on the bus ticket.
As an aside Georgie has been made captain according to Shoddy in the star.

Saw that! Plus he's signed. So that means he won't be gracing Oriel Park for 5 games!

You mean the word according to Rod isn't, well, the truth? So long as he's not in Dundalk it's okay, maybe he'd been better off down the road in United Park :D;):D

Rovers are at camp in Carton House, where Real Madrid also had their pre-season training camp. Pictures here: http://shamrockrovers.ie/multimedia/gallery/first-team/category/365-preseasoncartonhouse show two new keepers (two of the last three pics) neither of whom I recognise or who've been mentioned on the official site as signing.

Liam Burns training with Rovers (Shamrock that is, before Sligo go spare), Dave Rogers to Shels and Dave Freeman back to Longford. All just rumours at the moment though

yeah spot on with that blue man.. Dave Freeman signed for us yesterday before the Tullamore Town friendly.. somehow I dont think its a popular moveback after what happened the last time he was here but if he gets double figures for this coming season then I will forgive him.. What happened that he left Monaghan in the first place Magicme?

He's only playing U-16, he's not as old as Craig Walsh. He's had plenty of offers from abroad so I don't think we'll be seeing much of him here in the near future.

Is this just another facet of the relentless Rovers self-promotion machine or am I missing a specific reason why its particularly relevant?

How can you possibly take umbrage with a short, half a sentence, aside about the fact the worlds most famous club were training in Ireland. Are you looking for things to moan about? Do you boil with anger when reading a newspaper report which says "Jason Byrne, who won two caps for Ireland, today..."?

Hopefully he is better than the other brother Gerry that had a stint with us a few years back. Actually, i think i've heard a few people talking about him and rate him.

They also mentioned Keith Fahy's younger brother saying he was a good player, Playing L.S.L at present

Fair enough, I'm just surprised Dundalk would let him back. I respect him as a player, and he's not a bad guy, but he does have problems and I don't know if he'll ever really get over his demons.

Hope so. Really happy with the squad myself. We have kept the best players from last year while adding some quality to it aswell.

Doubt we are getting anymore in tbh. I think thats our lot. The club have been quiet enough about who was signing back on from last year so Im guessing they only put up the squad when they felt it was finished

He was with UCD last year but think he was released in July! A striker but not too prolific!
