Any word from Bray or Shels fans on Foran's future?
Seems to be dragging on a bit at this stage.

Heard he wanted to stay with Bray but we could not offer him any decent money. Maybe he'll return to us now we're in the premier and might be able to afford him. Is he still playing for Sligo in pre season ?

Robert Bayly who was with Fingal last year came on as a sub for Dundalk tonight against Drogheda.

Don't expect your red card counter to drop anytime soon, he's scum.

Thats a bit harsh isnt it ? he is still a quality player and the only reason he gets the red cards is because he puts in 100%

Lots of players I can think of that put in 100% and don't get sent off. Hes a dirty player alright.

He sounds too expensive; the FAI aren't taking any more chances with rogue clubs' spending. :)

... which is just down the road from Muff. You couldnt make that kind of stuff up.

It is in the Indo today that Faz Kudozovic has joined us!?!? Also, what's the deal with John Russell, not named in the Sligo Rovers squad announced yesterday, thought he had signed for them??

How come every time any club signs a player off Galway or one that Galway were interested in there's always one of ye on here with comments like that or "Heard ye are giving him crazy money" or "Ye must have money to burn" or "Rumour here that ye doubled his wages and gave him a massive signing on fee" or "Where are ye getting all the money from?" etc etc??
Getting a bit boring. Fair enough, ye are cash strapped this year but that doesn't mean every club is paying over the odds for every player that doesn't want to sign for ye.

His wages were brought up at the forum, and it was said that they bent over backwards to accomodate him, maybe stretching the weekly budget slightly but not too much although that wasnt officially stated.. Foster said that he called Gerry and asked him and that they worked hard all day today to get the deal done.. Also announced that we are to sign English trialist Sam Malsom in the morning.

Faz spoke in glowing terms about Sean Connor at his Oriel Park introduction tonight. Seannie may not be liked by some Sligo fans, but he is well popular with players. The club website already has an extensive interview on line:

Seannie may not be liked by some Sligo fans, but he is well popular with players.
I know a few young lads that played under Seanie, to say he wasnt liked is an understatement.

YEah, I'd imagine the majority of people who don't get a job under a particularl person doesn't exaclty put that person top of their Christmas card list.

During his time at Bohs Connor divided the squad into "his" players and others. Given the way this manifested itself it looked like a deliberate policy on his part and something i would find difficult to understand (never mind justify) in any manager.

To be fair he is obviously liked and respected by some players as they follow him around on his various travels. Maybe dividing the squad was just his way of managing things or maybe it was his way of telling players he did not rate that they should consider their options.
