Are you sure thats definite?

It looks it, he was Connor's first signing and was made captain straight away, Connor and him are buddies. Other local paper the Argus backs this up too so!

If Derek Doyle and Paul Byrne are the level of player that Pete Mahon will be signing for Pat's then it's going to be a rough year ahead.

He was in talks with us at the end of last season, think it came to nothing though. Did he finish the season with Dundalk?

I saw him a few times last season with Dundalk and on each occassion thought he was their most impressive player. Never gives defenders a minute.

Todays star reports that fai have sent new standerd contract forms for 2010 to clubs and will only accept regestration on these forms as a result of Turner not being properly signed by Sligo at the end of last season. We might get him yet:D

You could well be right but I presume that registering a player and signing a contract are two seperate processes and i'd suspect that if Turner signed a contract with Rovers last December then that is a legally binding contract between the two parties - it may not allow him to be registered to play however - as I say, just a guess.

I'd take his off field antics if he gets goals as opposed to Fitzer being fairly well behaved and being better able to score in a figure skating competition at the olympics...

I thought there was a clause in his contact that he could leave to any team that Sean Connor manages?

Good player but prone to the odd red card or three per season ! No pace whatsoever.
VERY good player, he is a centre back so pace is hardly key, but yes, he is prone to losing the head, like the time he stood on Richie Baker's foot and the little Hoop maggot dropped like a stone and Guthrie saw red, instead of an award for doing what so very very many people would love to do!
We'll certainly miss him, and can't see Garry Breen hanging around either, so our central defenders could be Paul Sinnott and Thomas Heary. Optimism of earlier in the week is fading fast . . .

Alex Williams signing for St Pats today.

This is a gamble (excuse the pun) for St Pats. On his day he can be devastating - he started brilliantly in the first 4 games for Dundalk, scoring 3 or 4 goals, and really looked the part. He showed hunger, pace, energy, drive, a really cool head in front of goal, and looked like he had the ability to be the best striker in the league. Sadly, for the rest of his time he showed little or nothing of his initial promise.

It appears that his off-field problems may have affected his performances, and that his attitude is very questionable - reoccuring themes at previous clubs in Scotland.

I can't imagine Mahon and Gill being very tolerant - so this one is likely to be either black or white..... a scoring sensation or dossing in the A team picking up his money, before being shipped out on loan in July.

yes, ive termed it the Nordie Gay Boy Love Clause.

The only way that movie could be in any way good is if Iris Robinson makes a comedy guest appearance at the end and vilifies them for being "worse than paedophiles". Otherwise, I've been scarred for life for no good reason ;)
