maybe they will be heading back down.but there r player's that comeup that r gud enough to stay in that division..all i'm saying is that i think there r team's outside the prm with players gud enough to play prem. dont say name em.u know what i mean.i'm sure u haven't play'd all ur carrer in the prm....that's if u play'd r play at all pal....
----------------------------------
Of course there are players outside the Prem good enough to play,Maybe not with the top teams but with the Carews,Granvilles of this world,
There are players in the Carew Park squad that couldnt get a jersey in 2b last year!
There are lots of good of players and just want a game with there local team and dont take things as serious as people on this site and there is nothing wrong with that IMO!

Is this more crap? Last week he was going to Boro this week he signed for Regional. Or are you trying to throw people, judging by your name you are a boro man. One of the 3 wise men mentioned on this thread before????

Spot on I heard last week he was on the way to view has any of this come from the lads mouth or is it just people on here stirring!

and theres a better chance they'll be heading back down with them have a look at the table my friend

not every club can attract players when promoted even with great facilities so its easy for you to say they are heading back down.5 games gone and you are already talking about tables and relegation.fair play to all teams that get promoted and fair play to the teams that strugle every year to stay in the premier without tapping up the whole of limerick.

i totaly agree with u,not every player want's to go to so call'd top prem league team to have to listen to there bull r to be standin on the sideline{not cause his not gud enough,just because the player in his position is with the club year's r his the manager buddy}

nice to see somone talking sensibly for a change rather than all the rubbish we have been reading from so called people that know all about limerick junior sooccer

Of course there are players in lower divisions that are good enough to play premier. What difference does it make if they are not as committed as most premier players, this is why there are divisions.

yes i totaly agree with u,alot of people that writ on this thread dont seem to realise that there r other division's out side the prem league,{i'd like to knw where these people think the promoted side' come from.they don't just appear}

Well argued mate. For the premier muppetts,there is an english lad playing for Coonagh who i would say is within the top 5 players in the city. Any premier team we have played will agree im sure. What he wants is enjoyment.

I am sure you will find that the majority of premier players get their enjoyment from training hard, playing for places and playing in the premier league. Otherwise they would not do it. If that makes them muppets then I'm Miss Piggy.

10 Premier Players Outside Premier
A lot of passion about this subject on here lads. I have to agree with the lads who say that there is easily 10 if not more players outside the top division, who could play there. One very good example is a player who I played with in Dell Inter-Firm last couple of years who was playing with Shels in 1B. He got fit, fancied a pop off Premier and is now with Granville. Whether he's top quality or not means nothing. The fact is, he stepped up his training and dedication and is playing Premier. There is many a lad outside the Prem who could do the same, if he so chose to. I've always said, the only difference between 90% of Premier players and the lower leagues is fitness. Nothing else. Yes there are a small amount of players who are above that, the really class acts, but they are the minority in this town. But fair dues to any player who knuckles down, trains hard, and plays Premier. It deserves respect. As do the guys who just want to play for their club, regardless of league status.

heard the other day that derek mccarthy is training kilmallock very hard at the moment and tommy heffernan is enjoying it.every club in limerick asked him to sign and offered him various different things and he still stayed loyal to his one and only club,fair play to him so i think you must be miss piggy with the nonsense talk you go on with.

He is training them and ive seen them play a couple of times this season and they play great stuff but are like arsenal and want to pass the ball into the net sometimes.It'd be hard for him to travel in and out from kilmallock three times a week and if every team had coaches,facilities and a great pitch like they have no-one would leave their clubs.Some people leave to better themselves.

i agree with you 100 percent that some of them want to better themselves and kilmallock have great facilities and pitch.was out there 3 weeks ago and they have a super set up.nice to enjoy a conversation on this page without people stirring s**T and talking rubbish.we only have the handful that talk rubbish and we all know who they are.(pikeys)

I saw them doing pre match training aswell and mccarthy has them very well drilled.They can play some super stuff aswell.Im just saying none of their players would need to leave where as other people want to play premier and deep down know it probably wont happen at their club so go to a premier team.

would agree with the above. fitness is a huge thing and it's what makes the divisions different. athlunkard were 4-3 up on regional last sunday with 15 minutes to go, ran outta legs and ended up losing 6-4. athlunkard are in 2A. definitely players in the lower leagues who could play premier, but a lotta lads can't devote to it because they work weekends and have young families

we were good enough for 75 minutes. that's what i said. i never said we should've beaten them. don't bother responding to my comments if you're gonna criticise a team, you didn't even see the match. maybe you should ask the regional players what they thought. few of them said we were unlucky, not me though, i'm giving an honest analysis in saying that we were not fit enough to beat them and they destroyed us in the last 15

Ye were unlucky to lose in fairness but ye're first goal was very soft too, harsh pen and an even harsher sendin off! Ye play good football and have quick players ye'll definately take points off teams and reckon ye'll definately stay up.. Best of luck for the season

i drove out to kilmallock to watch the match and in my opionion kilmallock threw this one away with the help of the referee (******).kilmallock were excelent for 70 mins of match but balla wer stronger towards the end.kilmallock will have to start taking their chances in front of goal with all their chances they are getting.kilmallock defenetily will stay up and are probably the strongest in bottom six.
