Clarke can't be considered top 3 quite yet until he hits the 20+ goals a season bracket. A.Barry can't be considered since he's playing in Tipp now. Moloney and Cummins I'd consider the 2 best in town at the moment. With Doyle a close third.

doyle is super has a lot goin for him what clarke would give to ave doyles pace cause thats clarkes only weakness i suppose that and not workin hard enough i suppose

id agree with you there.2of the best up and coming centre forwards around at the minute.time will tell how good they can become but i maintain that they are about equal at the minute of what ive seen of them both over the last 2 seasons.

they are both wasting there time at those clubs especially clarke janesboro going nowhere

the real deal

ya clarke is wastin his time down there boro are average just slightly better than the bottom six clubs but they do ave some very good players and oscar clarke is lazy from what ive seen

Alan Barry
Shane Clarke
Robert Earls
Tommy Heffernan
Pa Moloney
Dave Morris
Christy Doyle

Thats 7 I would put in front of him, no doubt he is a good player but still young and will improve, the above in my opinion at this moment in time are better strikers.

But Alan Barry no longer plays in the Limerick league!!!!!

Earls is the best all round striker in Limerick for me, he has the lot in fairness and is still quick enough even though he's well into his 30's.

eddiie brazier is no where near the top 6 forwards in town.he reminds me of that player pike had daryl eades (i think thats how to spell it ) all flicks and tricks and no end product and having watched eddie play a few times this year he needs around 15 chances to get 1 goal his finishing is just not good enough.

They persisted with Morris for years sure...If he'd converted half of the chances he'd missed his goal scoring record would have been phenomenal..

wouldnt agree with you there maestro.a long way to go in the season yet.im sure they will be there or there abouts at the end but i think that fairview and pike will have a big say in the destination of this years league.
the likes of boro and aisling will take alot of points also over the coming months.will be interesting to see how things run into christmas

Keep what going?. Regional have been in the Top four for the last 3 seasons.
Boro and Fairview are harmless , Pike will be there of course but the fact that most posts don't even mention Regional as contenders is ridiculous. Best back 4 in the league aswell.

It's hard to get results when you've to beat your opposition and the ref's against you just cause your a country team... A lot of the teams that have played us know we can play ball.. Bad ref decisions are killing us...

I must agree with both Maestro and Abbeyvale I think that Regional have a very good back 4 just look at the goals against.
They must be fancied this year, just look at their signings which have improved them and after a trophy last year!!

Its been 5/6 games played so far this season and people are already writing off teams. It'll be the same as most years Pike/Balla/'View contesting it. For every signing Regional made so did 'View/Pike and probably better signings too. Don't start making foolish predictions that'll embarrass you at the end of the season lads..

didn't Pike conceed 2 against Moyross yesterday??? thats CUP football??

The table doesn't lie, and Regional have the joint best defence to date, end of!!!

Worst logic ever...your basing the defence off 6 games played,if thats the case explain how Balla have the apparently 5th best defence in town and are top of the league?? It'll be the same 3 battling it out as it is most years, I don't know why people are hyping Regional so much, they've consistently under performed in the league, slipping away as the season goes on..what makes this season any different?

And cup football my eye,at that stage Pike had 10 forwards and a keeper, looking for a repeat of last years feat in having every outfield player score. Moyross are harmless..

Have Regional not improved their team with new players?, it might make a difference this season, you cant base whos going to challenge for the title totally on previous years. Long way to go yet before a clear idea of who is gonna be up there challenging at the end of the season!

Have Pike/Fairview/Balla/Ashling not improved their teams with new players? Pike and Fairview especially. I'm basing my theory on logic or what I think is logic, if you compare players like for like between the top 4,Regional come 4th out of the 4 IMO.

I never said Regional would win anything, all I said was that Regional have the best defence in the league at the moment, (with Aisling) the table never lies.

Load of Blarney, Barry gave Pike the run around for weeks so Connie decided to drop it, might as well have been chasing ghosts apparently.. Pike and St.Micks are on great terms at the moment. Never was a problem from there side.

When you come and see us play or play against us, you will see just how shocking the refs can be!!
Afraid of the city teams some of them!!
And we have said if you were reading that we were playin bad, missing chances, and sloppy defending!!
Not one of us said our bad start was down to Refs, its our own fault and eventually we will start playin like we can!!

Then say that in posts as well as Balbec77, there is 90mins in a game many factors determine results.
Please dont target Refs on here when match reporting or i will respond... getting sick of hearing it.
The difference is the top teams in the league dont give the oppourtunity for a bad decision to cost them the game by playing better consistently week in week out :ball:
I know your a good footballing side but did you expect to come in and walk preimer easily, if i was being honest i think you's came in a year or two earlier than your club planned. But you could have played badly last year and still coast 1a as the standard wasn't great. ( I'm Glad to see 1A standard is back to a higher standard this year though )
Keep doing what your doing and the work will pay off
:)
