Still agreeing terms - I though the white socks might clinch the deal but he is proving a tough nut to crack.
Aisling V Coonagh tonight in Coonagh - Glamour tie
A combination of Lim37 senior and A's will be playing Aisling at 11 in Annacotty and playing Pike at 2 or 2.30 not 100%.
Apologies for the comment "glamour tie" it was not used to reflect upon Coonagh as a club. It was a comment used by a friend to describe the Limerick fixture. Hope no offence was taken.

None taken. :D
Was an excellent run out for us. 4-0 down at half time meant 2-2 in the second half showed how rusty we were. First friendly played so all good even if the ref never showed.

I have to admit that yes I did, and I think he will be a regular.........
One part of me hopes he doesn't make it (so he might sign back with us) but another part of me reckons he will make it.

still believe pat barry is better than most the above, definately more tallent but we will see over next few months once he becomes as fit as the above players. my early guessing will be he will be on the oscar trainer left side midfield this year while playing for pike

think of it this way he has been training with starfor years and to be honest its not the same asany team from the top 4 so his fitness is not going to be up there with the others just yet, but over time he will adapt and with his talent added should make for a hell of a fine footballer even in pikes standards.................... you'll see

With no let up in the incessant rainfall and the forecast for the next 7 days for much the same, there must now be a good chance that LDMC will at their committee meeting tonight decide to put the season back a week at least. Pitches could be ruined this weekend if games go ahead.

they will probably wait till closer the weekend,
the season however could be a right washout !!

we'll see, time will tell, but you obviously dont think he's good enough for any of the top clubs!!
I actually agree with Starman, i think he'll make the OT squad this season (if he wants to)

Well there is ul and catholic institute, and i think there is one in the cresent comp...Its seperated into 3 different pitchs but i am sure they can make one full size pitch...They could play the matchs at anytime and any day!!!!Pretty sure there are a few more full size ones around...It might be something for them to think about

Oh i agree with you there faces..Its by no means the same but i was just questioning to see if the ldmc might have to do it ..It would be either that or cancel the season if all this weather persists?? I would much rather see games played then cancelling them??

Balla signed Ray Mc Mahon from (St Michaels), Keith Fitz back from Dublin, Damien Leo, Smiggy and Gary Ryan all back aswell,
Jossy signed with L37 at the end of the season but he has transfered back also, Steve Wyse signed with Carew Park but is transfering back without playing.
One player out is Martin Wallace

Keith Fitz played with Balla for years then moved to Dublin, very good addition, has a few junior international caps,
Very hard to attract players like the above when you dont have the facilities or the wages to pay them!
Balla never relied on players from other clubs always have a strong influx of schoolboys coming through the ranks;)

wouldnt say wages to be honest i could say other things that wouldnt attract players to ye;);)
season will be starting this weekend. Most teams have been saving there pitches all summer and the weather isn't expected to be that bad over the rest of the week
ray mc and keith fitz are good signings for balla, although I haven't seen keith fitz play in a few years so don't know what he's like now. Balla will be the same as they are every year, organised, dogged and hard to beat.

i would,nt agree with you but i honestly think a lot of the premier teams would not play even if the ldmc agreed with it.in my opinion you would be better having no season rather than play on rubber pitches.

I heard the legend that is Ter Bussoli is back with Balla as right hand man to John Cusack!
Keith Fitz was probably one of the best full backs in town when he played a few years back.Great addition if he is still has the same attributes he had back then!

I sure do, what was said was:
"Ter Bussoli is a fraud. The grand hoax by the former footballer is not new. He's been pretending to be something he's not for years now. He thinks he's Italian because he likes to have Dolmio every day for his dinner. I still love him though"

is he right back? if so it would be useful as Dunphy could be used more in midfield.
