look have you ever played successfully under age. i have ive captained clare. played oscar trainer youths when i was 15 had ireland trials. had to go to a bigger level fairview enquired and in all fairness any amateur player who turns them done either has a lack of ambition or a doesnt believe in themselves. as a player you want to play the big matches thats what its all about not beatin rag arse rovers like us 7-0 what do young lads learn from that

where did it all go wrong parkfan?

bruff 3 caherdavin 1 (Bruff at home should win. Especially as recently caherdavin have been having some problems)

shannon 1 wembley 2 (Shannon should be tough and Gerry Kelly is always likely to score but wembley should be too strong for them)

hill celtic 2 park 0 (Dunno much bout these but from looking at previous results Hill Celtic to win)

coonagh 3 balla 1 (Have seen balla play. Dont know much of Coonagh. Cos of seeing balla play gonna go for Coonagh)

Do u think from what you saw on sunday that Summerville will
be there at the end of season for promotion, cant see it myself as i seen
them against Mungret and if it wasn't for a fluke of an equaliser late in
the game they would have lost..

honestly i think wembley should go up best team ive played against in about 3 years only if theyre young lads stay together and keep preforming. id say caherdavin nice going forward but seem to lack a bit at the back if they can sort it out they could go up. summerville and davin are there for the takin though.

If for some reason it does go to peno's it will be very interesting as both teams have great penalty stoppers in Declan Dineen and Mike Costelloe(cossy)..I reckon Cossy will prevail!!!

You're not half bias are you svilleman?! Ah no i hope ye do it anyway, then my punt on ye will continue

I watched most of the shannon town wembley game. ive gotta say how disapointed i was with wembley. they didnt look up for the game at all. most of them were strolling around. the game was brutal itself. thats what junior soccer is all about, a cold, wet, miserable day grinding out results.. any comments

I think that junior soccer should be cancelled for the months of December and January. With the weather been so bad you will be lucky to have a pitch that is playable and if you do manage to find one the weather will be so bad that the game will be poor. Lat season we played 1 game in December and 1 in January because games were constantly called off, both these games were played in atrocious conditions and were not enjoyable.

Id agree with u tere, a lot of us were not in the game at all, bad defending cost us the game in the end, i think alot of us taught the match would not have gone ahead so went out saturday nite, no excuse by the way shaanon just about deserved the win. The pitch was in great nick so cant blame no one but ourselves, fantastic save from shannon keeper in second half from shane treacy effort. league wide open

considering the weather we had during the week i was surprised to c any games on especially our one, but was talking to shannon manager before kick off and he said they have a nice bit of work done to the pitch, now it wasnt anfield by any means but no one had any complaints about it

watched the game against wembley and thought it was pretty good to watch considering the weather..i think shannon played the conditions better using the wind to there advantage..wembley tried to play too many passes..while they played attractive football i think if they were a bit more direct in some cases they could have won it...agree shannon deserved to win it but only thanks to there keeper who made 2 great saves...ger kelly + liam heffernan scored for shannon...

ya but how can you that it was thanks to the keeper. they scored more goals than wembley the game was crap in fairness people kicking the ball away all the time with no-one round them, its not shannon towns fault they have a good keeper in gareth ahern...

agree with all posts above about our game shannon deserved to win and we have no complaints... we were awful to be honest..

caherdavin called team meeting after their defeat... manager quit along with one top player(sure everything will be sorted tuesday at training, prob done in the heat of the momemt after a bad defeat).... main problems of unrest among caherdavin was same 5 or 6 people only going training and only having the bare 11 for match yesterday. picked up injury after half an hour to one there wingers... had to play him up front for remainder of match... management were supposed to call 3 youth players up for the match yesterday but never happend another thing that did not go down well.....

yeah with the dines not playing and wembley not winning, they go top fair play to them, it not always the good soccer teams that win this league its the team who fight for every point and Bruff are that type of team.

Shannon town have now put themselves up there now six teams within four points, getting very interesting

Yep it will be very ineresting to see just how many teams
will be still up there after another 6 or 7 matches,in my view i
i think it maybe between Wembley, Bruff ,sville and Mungret..

Dont think the dines will be there, and cdavin look like there

i hear ya buddy. had the **** kicked outta me plenty this year already. But your right that's how you win leagues especially lower leagues. Could be very interesting alright.. Give us the low down on the dines I know they have a load of young lads to come through but how good are they actually...

they as good as any of the teams up there, the problem having the young lads coming through in any team i think is they don't get chance to show there skills in 1a , 1b etc lower divisions because the style of game is completely different and it takes them a couple of seasons to get used to it.

what has happened to Shannon remember them from few seasons ago fighting with them for relegation, what changed them into promotion seeking team:)

the thing about minor players is true... senior players at caherdavin have been watching the youths and gave 3 players names to management to be contacted and management said they would contact these players but never did...

think it was the wrong time to be calling a meeting... straight after a match maybe should of waited til next training session so everyone had calmed down....

i have to say i have been reading the 1a posts quite regularly... and after watching most of the teams i would have to say merryman is on to something about division 1a... i along with merryman would think mungret will come strong come the end of the season... as a matter of fact, i would say that next year when mungret are in premier they will push for that title too....
im sure merryman with agree with my thoughts on this mungret 11....

my finishing predictions for 1a...
1st. mungret
2nd wembley
3rd bruff
4th caherdavin
5th geraldines

mungret are 10 points behind bruff, they are too far behind to win it but they are not out of the promotion race. that means there are 7 teams fighting for promotion in this league. whoever wants it the most will get promoted!!

Well Cartman.,We will just have to see how it pans out but i can guarantee u one thing the table will not end up like that...we will be very much in it...If we beat bruff sunday(think we are playing them) we will be 1 point behind them with a game in hand on them and we will also have games in hand on all the other teams below us(except caherdavin i think)..We will definately be in the top 5 if not the top 2!!!

Do you see Park getting a few results soon and maybe having a chance of climbing the table. They were unlucky not to pick up some points a few weeks ago.

1) Bruff

it will be tight in points i would say 5 points between all these teams at end of the season.

at the moment no we are training very hard but the fact we only have a few a team players is killing, you could count the good players with one hand. which aint good. however we have been unlucky recently when your down there you cant seem to get anything right. hopefully we will stay up cause there are a few players looking too come back next year...

We have 2 good strikers in keith mac and des o donoghue probably
the best in town in 1a ,good defence aswell with player manager in centre half keeping them organised.Had a bad start but started to play well the last few matches, should have won mathces we dropped points in ,especially
against the likes of summervill..
