come on how can you blame 2 refs for 4 goals a piece, lets give them some credit, you are fighting a loosing battle on this 1 im afraid parkfan .
if ye had a full team same old song coming from ye all year if we had !!!
if we had !!!if we had..!!!if all the lads didnt go to the maternity the night
one of your players birds had a child ye would have won the next day.
I seem to remember you using that as an excuse at 1 stage aswell..
is that the way things are in town with "TEAMS" that if one of your best mates wives had her first child that mate also played on your team would you sit in i suppose you would the commitment in town is unbelievable wish i could play with players like that every week. LEGENDS.. Whats this if we had all about. ill give them credit when their players stop throwing digs off the ball

didn't hear about any 1 throwing punches at your players, but as you know parkfan we are not playing billards or snooker its a physical sport and im
sure your guys were well able to give as much as they got ,as for all going
out celebrating the night before a match i am sure most teams wouldnt do it
in the town or outside the town, why not just wait untill after the match on sunday and make a day of it,but no ye choose the other option go out sat night and let sville wop ye 4 nil and punch your girlie players around the pitch:p

no one threw a slap at me and you can be sure i would throw one back. i just dont like to get involved in that crap it has no place on a pitch. if they want to go boxing im sure they could all sit together on saturday nights and watch the rocky movies then have a good brawl for themselves after they drink their tea of course.

Ask them how the diving is going on out there. it seemed to be going from strength to strength during our game. they battered all of us off the pitch is this from the fella who when he got a little nudge in the back started acting like he had been shot then turned around and started throwing digs. why would we be crying to the ref. doubt any of the lads would cry on the pitch. define how a team gets stuffed sometimes a scoreline doesnt reflect what actually happenes in a game. WHEN DID THEY SIGN ROCKY BALBOA??????

ill have to agree with you there cos any scoreline you were asked about this year u said it didnt reflect the game ha and ok lets define for parkfan..
11 she males come in from shannon on a sunday morning to play the mighty
sville who parkfan has said are crap and divers and throw digs at other boys.
After the match the usless boys that all dive and use strenght when playing
and stop the she males from shannon from defending are 4 nil up .ammmmmm
i think this could mean that u are after been on the wrong end of a stuffing.
And using almost every excuse possible to defend why as u say !!!!the scoreline doesnt reflect the game ..:p

The game is called soccer not rugby or GAA, if you want a physical contest or a kicking match they go and play some other sport!!
mungret and summerville are 2 of the dirtiest teams in the league. I can understand mungret being dirty because they don't have the footballers but summerville should know better.
I hope park stay up because they have the best pitch in the league and they play the game in the manner it shoulld be played.

"admires yer pitch", it's one of the best pitches in the whole league, then again a good pitch means nothing to a mucker like yourself. mungrets pitch is fairly good too...shame about their team :D, well at least they won't get relegated again this season...but we live in hope :p

in div 1a you need to be rough. its different to premier football, and most 1a games are won by roughing. hence summerville are top of the league, by playing prob the least attractive (but effective) football in the division. .
if div 1a was won on football skill alone wembley would have been promoted years ago. even last year without all their young stars they were the best footballing side in the division but got blown away by less skillful teams.
Summerville do go overboard, especially the digging off the ball. It could be their downfall yet, at the coonagh game last week they were up for a scrap with coonagh, with 5 mins left and 2-0 up. ridiculous.

Well said.
Wembly are the best footballing team in the league and because of this I hope they go up. Summerville look like they will run away with the league but I think they will struggle big time up in premiere were as wembly will do well just like corbally.

We need to get tere first, making it diffucult for ourselves at the moment.. summerville should win it, they dont look like slipping up at this moment and not conceeding goals is a big plus, spread true the rest of the team and spreads confedence...

the pressure to get promoted is big this year. with 3 strong teams getting promoted to premier last season(corbally, star and herbertstown) and 3 less quality teams getting relegated (park, hill and mungret) this is the year to get promoted.
I mean no disrespect to park hill or mungret so please guys dont go to town on the fact i mentioned those teams.
1A next season will be even more competitive, the possibilty is that charleville and star/hererbertstown will be in 1a next year, maybe even aisling(doubtful).
Also With Kilmallock and dromore looking good for promotion to 1a, the standard of 1a next year will he higher than this year. it shows that even tho this year is tight, the quicker you get to premier the better.

i wasn't going to comment on this best eleven post but parkfan has a point....every time these come up shannon teams are totally ignored except the odd mention of "the legend" gerry kelly...strange that seeing as we are fifth in table with just as much chance of promotion as bruff wembley or caherdavin...suppose its just cause to see us play often ye would have to travel to shannon...

Obviously all the mungret team aren't dirty but the majority are, i've seen it with my own eye's.
I think nobody wants to play in the rain and the mud, if everyone had a choice they would want to play on a dry pitch unless they are playing a team who are better footballers than themselves, then a bad pitch can be a great leveller.

Ive seen both Summerville games against Coonagh and didnt think they were dirty. Two good physically competitive games as you would expect from a team trying to win the league and another trying to stay in the division.
I wouldnt say any team in 1a is dirty.

dont anyone really picked their star studded 1a team except cartman who only picked the s ville 11 as a slag!
very hard to say who deserves to be in any top 11. most people dont know opposition teams very well and only see them once or twice a season, hence they pick most their own team and maybe include a few well known players from other clubs.
sure wait till the limerick leader comes up with their best 11, altho they do pick their players out of a hat!
going off the point a bit, but i think referess, bad as they are, should be the ones who decide each year who are the best players in each division. they at least get to see players on a more regular basis than most.
also, why dont the ldmc have a junior awards night every year like the schoolboys do? I know its prob cos the ldmc are too tight or prob could not care less.
I think each division should have player and manager of the year awards. Too much good work goes unrecognised.
any thoughts?

wembley 4/5
summerville 7/4
bruff 7/1

also got relegation odds :
park 1/25
