booster glad to hear from u. your very quiet all week. you are usually posting the whole time after summerville matches. was talking to summerville player and he said 3 goals were your fault against wembley.
i personally think its harsh to blame a keeper for a penalty to go past him, but il be the first to admit id a stinker against wembley, got caught badly for two goals... i took responsibilty for it cant do no more but look forward to our next game.

Maybe it was a mutual decision...I was only mad for it to be on saturday night to be honest!!! If there was someone at the club that wanted it off then i think questions should be asked...Perfect time to play them really....

Hope so, tere is talks that tere is a ref convention this weekend, that is why tere no ref named on paper to do the game.. Maybe old keeper can clarify this..
Yes WRFC,there is a fitness convention on alright on saturday but not all referees have to do this so there may still be a few available to do the match saturday night...To be honest i'd prefer if it was off as well...The break would be nice and then the game might be pushed to the end of the season as a playoff for the league possibly???
Yes there is a sort of convention and its' called a seminar. It is not just fitness test but there is an exam on the laws as well.
I know for a fact the referee who was allocated the match declined the match card!
He did this after the fixtuures were sent to the papers!
there is a ref thing on saturday morning at UL, not sure its on all weekend though hope not only got the saturday morning off to do it :-)
Don't worry Jock it's only a morning thing!

what lead to the penalty. u parried out a weak free kick in front of a wembley player. if u had put it around the post summerville would be in the next round and clear favourites for league and cup double.

Thats all if and buts TIMMY...u have to make a spur of the moment decision and he tried his best..Sure look at Petr Cech last night...He is meant to be the best keeper in the world and he couldn't stop a ball parctically comin straight at him from 30 yards out....We are all entitled to a bad day...Even the best in the world..Thats life and FOOTBALL!!!...Whats to say we wont be in the next round yet..We will have to see on tuesday night...League game is off against them satruday night also!!!

Very good point...Maybe old keeper will take this on board and say it to the committee
I did mention the fact that night colses in very quickly for the first few weeks after the clocks go forward, but to be fair a number of other games were completed and one even went to penalties

Mungret 3-0 Caherdavin.
What a funny game football is. Caherdavin should have been 2-0 up at half time last night and then we came out in the second half and scored 3 goals even though the game was fairly even at that stage. We battered Bruff a few weeks ago in the league and only got a draw and we were all over Shannon last Sunday in the cup and ended up losing 2-1.

Summerville 3 - 1 Bruff
How Summerville didn't get a cricket score is beyond me.
Bruff had only 6 of their regular team, 3 of them were played out of position (keeper up front !, striker in midfield, centre-mid at full back) and worst of all the managers assistant in goal  what a complete farce of a team (the lads making up the rest of the team were, to be brutally honest, various degrees of useless). That they actually managed to score - Summerville, hang your heads in shame:p

i'll agree with the last comment....we were bad alright..we had a bucket load of chances and our finishing was a disaster...We need to be finishing every chance next year when we go up or we will be straight back down....I went away before Bruff scored. Can't imagine how they managed to score...Ah well..At least its another 3 points on the board!!!

Was at the game myself.
summerville dominated bruff, which had the worst line up ever to grace 1A(which is saying somethin). summerville should have been up somewhere bout 8-11 nil at one stage. Finishing was dire.
Must say well done to the bruff players who did show up. i thought they played well, never gave up and could have scored 4 in the last ten minutes.

very strange as wembley had to fulfil a fixture tuesday night whilst minors also had a game tuesday night.....
and they wanted us to play sat night despite our minors playing munster cup final in youths on sunday.........
not having a go at summerville at all... they re entitled to get whatever match they think should be off.......

Do any of the bottom teams still have to play them?
If they pull out these teams will get the 3 points. It could make a big difference to the bottom of the table.

so your saying in future if any team struggles for eleven players then they have the right to call the game off.. is going to set precedence for future games the season will now run through the summer at that rate... bit of a joke its not the opposition problem a team don't have big enough squad to cover minors or missing players...

Tuesdays match between hill celtic and balla will be a massive game now for the relegation.
Looks certain to be summerville and Wembley going up.
Just a quick question. Looking at that table what would happen if say Balla, Hill and Coonagh all end up on 18pts? I know its a long shot but what would happen there? Goal Difference?

no goal difference never comes into play.....
from last year when it was wembley, corbally and herbertstown going for 2 nd place we were told that 3 teams go into a draw and first team pulled out goes into a final and the other 2 teams play against each other in a semi final.....
could be totally different this year.....

So if ye dropped 2 points against them then ye will be awarded those extra points.
