Yeah pretty good team performance alright but i think personally that geraldines were bad and missing a few..Still though an away win and 4 goals scored and only one conceded!! Pretty happy alright but not as happy as booster i'd say who got the prediction dead on!!

Going on todays performance Bruff will not be challenging this season. Thought they were very poor and the likes of yourselves, Summerville and Caherdavin should be beating them twice.

ye are going to need a lot more consistency from your squad if ye are going to threaten the league this year...worst i have seen in a while ...ye played better against us last year and ye finished in 3rd last last year..no offence

think the next bunch of fixtures are gonna be the first weekend in december..... but if your team is already knocked out of munster cup which is on this weekend or the fai which is on the weekend after u could have league matches for the next couple weeks.....

none taken, agree totally with what you say about consistency, between players missin and players being accommodated by the management we'll be lucky if we dont finish there again this year, havin said that we have nearly the same points as we finished with last year already but a vast improvement in attitude is needed.A lot of players just weren't up for it whereas the summerville team were all up for it

We are goin alright so far, we've just lost our 2 first choice centre halves for prob the rest of the season though so i think we could start to struggle a bit, as we did against coonagh last week. We have a lot of home matches to come in the 2nd half of the season so we could still end up there or thereabouts. League seems to be wide open, no stand out teams

Just goes to show how poor 1a really is with bruff up there. They could barely beat a coonagh team with the bare 11 with 2 of their B team strickers playing (and one of them was in goals!!!) Anyone with any bit of quality should be walking away with that league.

to be brutually honest mate if any of the teams have quality they would be in Premier the reason why wembley, geraldines, caherdavin, etc have been staying in 1a because there are full of hard working average sometimes slightly above average quality players. who play good hard football and everybody beats everybody else on the day. quality dosen't win the league. getting the results do.
the only team i think recently who won the league with some quality players and football in the last few years were Aishling and Corbally.
so far play to Bruff hopefully they will do it.

players from wembley of premier standard in my opinion would be.... morgan lewis, pa sheehan, bryan finnegan, seamus mulcahy, barry dillon, shane treacy, paul mcormack and liam barrett..... think all players above are good enough for premier...... have u watched a lot of matches in 1a this season...... yes the standard of the league seems to get worse every year but it is still the hardest division to get out of.... dont think thers is much between bottom 5 or 6 in the premier and the top 3 or 4 in 1a.....

yes there is a big difference, when it comes to 1a and premier its taking your chances when they come and when your having a bad day grind the result, these players you mention won't get to show there talents in 1a the league is not a silky football league so the sooner the teams start putting in the heart and grit to get out of the league the sooner they will get to play the type of football there talent can show. i'm sorry but it doesn't matter how good you are as a few if you don't have the team spirit to get a result you won't get out of 1a.
its always been the same with wembley have played agianst them a few times found them a good football side so something is wrong if you can't get to premier

every year people say that the standard has dropped in 1a or premier or just junior soccer in general.i think its very hard to judge whether this is true or not,in fact in my opinion i think that limerick soccer has vastly improved in the last 10 years or so,our junior leagues have supplied a lot of players to the eircom league and limerick teams have emerged as favorites for the national and regional cups instead of just being pretenders.

ya i remember playing against u too pal... centre half holycross left footer u were always good for a two goal lead..... just saying that from talking to a lot of the corbally boys and aisling boys who used play with us.... they said that the BOTTOM 5 OR 6 in the premier is as good as the top 3 or 4 in 1a.... they have experience of playing in 1a for a few years and now have had the experience of playing premier so think they would have a better understanding than u..... didnt say the whole of 1a is as good as the premier....

yes i said wembley etc not you, but you insulted me and not holycross. now in ealrier threads i have said i'm a average joe player never said anything different.
you mentioned you speak to players who have played with wembley but are now in the premier, why did they leave if wembley are good enough to get tothe preimer, why is wembley been stuck in 1a for soooooooooo loooonnnnngggg. you should have been able to work it out by now i assume.
to answer your question its as open as ever but as always when the chips are down i expect wembley to drop at the final hurdle and these players you mention will move on as previous players have done...
and if the do go up then fair play i will eat my words and publicly apologise on this thread

well i honestly think that wembly are the best team in 1a so far this year that i have seen and played against..Very good strong team and good passers of the ball..I think they will defo promoted this year.....Ok we beat them at home 2-0 but they were all over us in that game, especially the 1st hlf but we got 2 goals from the break in the second half...And we have been beaten by caherdavin 8-2 this year at our own ground but i still think wembly are the better team...I might be eating my own words at the end of the season but thats what i think??

why are u getting so defensive about and saying bad things come in threes..... all i said was and sorry for repeating myself again everyone but i said that the bottom half of premier and top 3 in 1a, there is not much between... look at herbertstown beat balla and fairview (granted only in cups and they need to reproduce this form in the league) and everyone said they will go straight back to 1a with 0 points....... and corbally who lost a few players to janesboro more than likely safe already with 14 points.... the season before aisling and granville got promoted and are still premier... season before regional got promoted and are now serious contenders for the league.... so goood teams have got promoted in recent years and have established themselves inthe premier.... the facts are there tiger...

beleive it or not park are not as bad as people make em out to be, they'd about six or seven on the bench and a few platers i recignised from last few seasons, i think they'l start takin points off teams soon!as regards to the actual latch they started well, missed a few chances and we got a poxy first goal and drove on from there, difference being the first goal of the match, if they'd taken theres im sure it would have been a totally different game. some set up out there, its a shame there gone like they are!cyril maher and shane fitz are two great signings for us.

I seen Hill Celtic playing this weekend against Pike and they held for sometime. (Pike got the 3 goals in the last 20 mins) They have got some new signings since the season started and although I heard they lost to and Carew as well in the FAI cup I'd say they will hold their own in Div 1A ? Also speaking to 1 or 2 of them after the Pike game they said that they have another 1 or 2 on route so wouldn't be so sure.

from what i hear pike should have been out of site at half time. They are not taking their chances and it wil cost them some day. Once the first goal went in there was going to be no other outcome. (plus i think it was well before 20 mins left they scored)
