Shane fitz and shine were the best centre halves in the league, Fitz was probably our player of the year.. either himself, shine or maher, i think he should have been selected.. along with darren o sullivan up front for sville, i think 3 players selected on the team of the season is a poor return for a double winning team... just my opinion lads.
ya u would have tought a couple of more would have made the team
especially as ye done the double ,strange that the centre half didnt get
picked, rumour has it he has now left the club , booster

well this 15 goals for shane fitz seems a bit much because his name wasnt in the top scorers list when i read it anyway. and how can you question up front the top scorers in the league are the two front men i believe

too early to say if we will be getting anyone yet ...Not to sure what summervillemans plans are yet as he's to talk to the manager yet!!!Managers name is ger manahan...Not monahan...As for top goalscorer i think martin wallace from geraldines was top scorer and he only made the bench..Wwhoever picks this team of the season hasn't a clue if u ask me

no in the paper he was either second or third in the top scorer list.
seamus mulcahy was the top scorer with 31 i think. could have been more cant really remember the exact number but he was top anyway
as for the manager thing did you change your name a few years back to monaghan no. rumour has it you did

ya summerville centre halves were the best we faced, gorey fitz and shine when he played there were outstanding,no offence to the wembley keeper who is a good keeper but the summerville keeper was out there on his own as the best in the league this season

lads i think Morgan was by far and away the best keeper in the league, this booster fella showed his true colours when we played them in the cup,he let in 3 absolute howlers against us....hes no good under pressure...seems to me like summersvilles back four did him a lot of favours this year...wouldnt mind seen maher in a wembly shirt next year

Jesus, thats a big exodus, they were yer best players this year, yell do well to survive in premier without them, havin said that same happened corbally last year and they had a stormin season,
can't see why cyril went back for one season and now that ye are back in premier is leavin again!!
as for the rest i thought tthey were summerville through and through, must be a reason for them all leavin???

Well if summerville do lose those four outfield players they would be in major trouble, cant see Pike wantin to sign costello hes rubbish under a high ball from what ive seen, maher is a great signin for the view if they get him,i cant understand why there all leavin though, they won a double together so why not stick together????

this is mostly rubbish.... only possible one is maher going to the view...
shine wouldnt get on at regional.
shane fitz wouldn get on up in the view.
and as for the other 2 going to pike... laughable.... think booster 03 is just winding people up.....

until august and see, any 1 no why shane fitz left if he had such a great season and scored 15 goals from centre half,

well gerry, you seem to be having a right go at summerville on this thread..
not very smart thing considering you're involved with wembley...
look up wembley f.c. in the dictionary and it says -
"so called great team according to themselves.. never win any trophies of any importance..get beaten anytime anyone puts it up to them in a match..star man - wobbler.. the arsenal of 1a soccer - lovely footballers with absolutely no backbone.. "

whats wrong with summerville. do you not listen to the summerville fans on this site. they think they are gods gift to football. only thing is i think god wanted them to american football cause they are all shocking at playing any sort of ball. there defence is there quarter back going for the long ball everytime. I think they should consider a change of name to the summerville dolphins or something like that.

Here, here. Well said, nobody can argue with what happens on the pitch. I'm not stirring here gerry but I honestly can't see Wembley hanging onto most of their minors. Even if they do stay this year I reckon they will be snapped up by L37 U-21's or the top pemier sides. You mentioned in an earlier post that they are men now but there is a massive difference between playing minor football and premier football.

In the first 3 weeks of the season alone there will be 6 Premier league games played. The Eircom U-21 league might easily go on until October. After its over and the players get clearance to play again for junior sides you could be looking at a return sometime in November. The premier league in Limerick is physical and not a bit like playing youth football. If I was involved with Wembley i'd be fairly concerned about next season. Talking off the pitch is easy, producing results on it is a different proposition altogether.

I agree with you. I think Wembley could struggle next year IF they dont strengthen their team from last year. As of now its too early to predict who will get relegated as no one knows what sort of team each club will have.

agree with that, good point. I think by end of october last year last year some clubs had played ten league games. between november and april very few league games are played. start season and end season mid week games decide leagues.
also there is no quarantee those players will come back to wembley after playing 21's, especially if wembley struggle at the start of the season. im sure numerous clubs will try to sign the better players from the bunch.
hopefully wembley do get them back, i for one support clubs who develop good youth teams and then keep faith in them through to junior football.

Think both teams that came up will need to get a few players if they are to stay up,also the bottom few clubs that stayed up last year will need a few 2.
Should be an interesting season with a few of the lesser teams next year.

Bruff's manager Ray Hayes has stepped down, this seasons assistant manager has been promoted, unfortunately he is not very popular with most of the players and already four of the better players in the Bruff squad have left (Croom to benefit from two of them including Pip Moloney).
Best of luck to Ray and thanks for all the good work and achievemnents he has made with Bruff :ball:
