Caherdavin 1-2 Mungret
Cappamore 3-1 Shannon
Balla B 0-3 Geraldines
Wembly 2-0 Park
Coonagh 0-3 Hill celtic

SummervilleMan I also think Mungret will beat Caherdavin this weekend.

Well boys looks like I got the most predictions correct from the weekend results ? Only got the 1 wrong with Cappmore and Shannon. (Of course incorrect scores) Think nobody get even near what happened.
Caherdavin look to be falling apart altogether ?

Wish i did !! :) Do you think i would be telling you if i knew them ? Ha Anyway, there is a few teams down the bottom of the table that have very little games played then those at the top. I think there will be changes made on this side of Christmas to the top and bottom of table ? What you think ?

i think it wil stay fairly the same, as i said earlier caherdavin are going through a mini crisis but if they couple of good results in next few games it should set them up well.. wembley are always strong outfit and dines are not bad. the two teams i think are good contenders are bruff always tough to beat home and away if you take points of them you have played good game and outside bet would be summerville they have only played 6 games and have 11 points if they win there games in hand they would be right up there.

this league as always is wide open, it will be interesting to watch how it develops over christmas

yes that result has broken the league wide open.,..Glad to see caherdavin getting a hiding at home as well..Now they know how we feel and it just goes to show that every team has a bad day at some stage during the season...
Geraldines still winning away as well....Nice to see them doing well.....As i said its wide open...Nice to see a few games played befoer xmas to see how it fairs out...

Caherdavin beaten 7:1 for the second week in a row, what a joke...7:0 at half time and mungret aren't even that good a side. That was Caherdavin's 1st league game at the greenhills. A lot of there games in hand are on that small pitch and that pitch won't suit them.

still think its very early to predict promotion..any one of six or seven teams could go up!! you wont see the table take proper shape til about the new year!!the standard is quiet poor this year.

seems to be a lot of unrest in the caherdavin ranks since shane fahey
signed back with them, Glen woodland not starting is a joke .
y split him and karl when they were doing so well up front .

Was talking to 1 or 2 of them aswell and they cant understand
some of the decisions the manager is making..

Well if they put in a similar performance as they had against Carew they will take something from the game.

yeah great p[erformance against carew but the scored at the weekend did them not good. They are just average b and c team players playing in the wrong division. I expect caherdavin to run rampant , no matter how angry the camp is !

Caherdavin v Park is that a league game? and if so are there other fixtures down for the weekend for the teams not in the Fai??

What time is the Dines v Pike game on Sunday?

have to agree with statement above.... caherdavin to hit park for 6+..... i know park got a couple of good results in the ai but to be honest they are certs for relegation and the poorest side we ve played in all comps...

Yes Alan you are correct ! Aisling stuffed Caherdavin in the MFA cup 2/3 weeks ago, so this is a league game i think ? The Dines are playing Pike at 10:30 in rathuard ! There could be some upsets in the MFA cup this weekend.

If that caherdavin team were hammered by mungret 7:1 then how bad must summerville be  with all there OT players :D
The league looks like a fight between wembly and geraldines especially with their minors been available at the business end of the season.

scoobysham
02/11/2006, 2:59 PM
wembley wont have any of there minors available towards the end of the season because they are most likely gonna be rested for fai and munster cup matches..... and then they have ther own divisional league and cups...... seen it over last 3 or 4 years they have too many matches so they cant be made available to the junior team.......

still all the play for wembley dines caherdavin bruff summerville and an outside bet would be mungret if they get a run going......not much in it according to the league table....

Promotion challenge over methinks if that continues.

Yeah but didnt Summerville have a wedding that night also. I bet the Summerville lads were a lot worse for wear.

Besides if the majority of any team are going out the night before matches then I wouldnt expect them to win a thing.

Im goin to have to disagree with you there..........
I've seen Caherdavin play about four or five times this season and they are far from over rated.
Star were lucky to beat them in the FAI

In the league when they played Wembley, the two best teams in 1A were on show and both were happy with a draw.

Now Im gonna put my head on the line by saying that even tho they fell apart against Aisling they could count themselves unlucky. With chances taken in the first half they could have went in at hlaf time leading. Aisling added on four goals in the final ten minutes once the game was over.

And again last weekend against Mungret they spent the majority of the first half camped in the Mungret half but Mungret were absolutely clinical.
Only problem Caherdavin have at the moment is a lack of confidence in defence, remember up until the Aisling game they had conceeded the joint least number of goals with Wembley.

As a footballing point of view there main problem is Fahy. im not one to knock a player because at the end of the day its an amateur game, but sice Fahy has returned Caherdavin have been terrible. Fahy is in ahead of Woodland and because of that there front line is static. Fahy doesnt do half the work Woodland does(who came on against Mungret and caused terrible problems).:ball:

larrywhite
06/11/2006, 6:05 PM
Agree with you on Fahy. He has no intention of moving unless the ball is at his feet or in front of him to run on to.

As for the Mungret game (I didnt see it), I find it hard to believe a team could have most of the first half and trail 7-0 at the break.

I have seen them a couple of times and even though they won both games they didnt really impress. I certainly wasnt thinking they could win 1A.
