pretty sure that Johnnys dad is Damien Dunleavy - he would have played for Sligo Rover,Finn Harps and Longford Town. is that correct?

Surely it's the league or bust for Bradley next season? Big squad with plenty of quality in most areas

We desperately need a new Gary twigg and we have a squad that can challenge. We don't have the depth of dfc but that's a given. Gotta get lucky with injuries and we can challenge

Neil O'Riordan reports on some extraordinary valuations for 29-year-old Joe Gormley at Cliftonville.

Both the Tallaght club and Crusaders have lodged offers for the striker with the bidding said to have reached around €75,000.

Miele is still under contract for another season no? Are Rovers just going to let him go for free?

Wouldn't complain about it anyway, I know his form has obviously drifted away over the last couple of seasons but if he goes some way toward recapturing it then he's of more use than either Doona or Dean Clarke.

Yeha he was under contract and started pre season with Rovers last week, not sure if hes gone for free or not.
His dad posted on facebook that hes gone to a new club so he has 100% left Rovers anyway.

I'd be surprised if we were to pay much for anyone, if at all. Suppose with all the signings that have been made they're overloaded with players in his mould and could do with getting him off the budget if he's fallen further out of favour.

Conversely he's exactly the type of player that Pats need at the moment as we've so little forward options. Hopefully it goes through and Bucko doesn't pull another one out the bag.

There have murmurs about Miele wanting away for some time.

He was on the PFAI team of the year in 2015 and won a POTM award as recently as Sept of last year

He could well capture that form with a new club and he could easily turn out to be the signing of the season for whoever he joins

No loss, the guy is a waster. Shame he's not joining dundalk as he'd be an unnecessary drain on their squad.

Is there a screenshot of his dad saying that. All sounds pretty much classic loi rumour mill with Jack Byrne signing being the catalyst.

If PC is starting to slate Miele now, he must believe the rumour

At only 24 years old, if Miele has the right coach he has the ability to be the stand-out player in the league next season

Some random anonymous profile on the internet doesn't like the player in question so he must have left the club.
That's some brilliant logic right there Ez, no flaws there whatsoever.

Wish him the best if he's gone, he is a frustrating player, can look first class for a few games then go missing.
He's to good to not come back to form but is unlikely to play much next season if he stays. I'd rather see Brandan kavanagh on the pitch

I have no idea if Miele has left Rovers or not, but suggested that PC must believe the rumour if he is now slagging off the player

IF miele has left Rovers he's no loss in my opinion . He;s being stealing a wage for the past 2 years .

Tommy has all the talent in the world but he hasn't got the temperament to make it, at least not yet anyway. Had some brilliant performances last season but for every one of those he had there was either a red card in the next game or something off the pitch too potentially libelous to mention. I wouldn't have minded keeping him personally but he definitely split opinion and it's no surprise he's not been trusted to stay on.

If he'd wanted away I doubt he'd have signed a new contract last year. It's a shame - the guy has all the talent in the world but it hasn't shown for whatever reason since that first year. Think Harry could well get the best out of him. Miele has given us more than enough memorable moments (there was a time he seemed to score every time we played the Bozos - when we actually were able to get the odd result of them) so think he'll be wished well by fans.

If he'd wanted away I doubt he'd have signed a new contract last year.

Tis a bit of a mystery why that contract happened when both Miele and Bradley had reservations about it.

That said there was a low success level with the 4 contracts announced at the same time - Tomer Chencinski, Gary Shaw, Graham Burke and Brandon Miele
https://shamrockrovers.ie/2017/11/17/four-more-on-board-for-2018/

I don't know whether it was Bradley who wanted him out in mid season or if Miele was pushing for a July move, but it was definitely being mooted.

it is not a criticism of anyone, just noting that a move now for Miele while still in contract, does not surprise me (or those Rovers fans ITW)

He has all the ability in the world unfortunately he is a liability.
He might have looked decent last season but 14 games 3 goals 8 yellows and 2 reds are his stats from last year.
IF you ever got him to calm down and just play he could be brilliant.

Impressive for Drogheda when they were last in the PD in 2017. Still only 21 years, he could be a smart signing for Harps

Good signing for Harps, certainly an improvement on Friel and a decent replacement for Kavanagh.

He'll fit right in, mouthy, has a dirty streak in him. Solid but unspectacular player. Ollie has made some very shrewd signings so far. Harps will be hard to beat next year.

Are any of that toxic brennan family still on the books at pats? Getting rid of them would have as much effect on their upward trajectory as their new signings in my opinion.
It'll be strange for me watching pats next season. I have lots of time for Gary Shaw, and H is still a hero from my early Rovers days.🤔

Killian and Ryan I think. I hope so anyway as its a guaranteed game against 10 men for Dundalk. Apart from that why do you seem them as toxic. On form Killian was a quality player, he just always lost it against Dundalk. Wasnt one of them played at full back when at Rovers?

With the shortage of decent strikers i'd have thought he'd have been top of Buckley's list to re-sign. If he wasnt signing back then i'd have thought Rovers might have given him a second chance as he'd be a known quantity compared to Gormley and a damn sight cheaper of the 2 players as gamble on whether they'd work out.

Ryan is gone to Shels, Killian has been let go by looks. Hero of a man but hasn't got the legs for it anymore I don't think so it's no surprise. Some teams could do a lot worse than him mind.

Anyhow, some day for us this has been. Happy early Christmas everyone

The fans would welcome him back with open arms, for sure, and he'd be good enough but I don't think he's the type of player Bradley is looking for. He wants a penalty box striker like Twigg, hence the interest in Gormley.
