Good first half from Pat's, hope they can maintain it. Performances like this are breathtaking to see in Europe.

Clarke got lucky as well when he missed a cross earlier. Forrestor giving away the ball a lot in bad areas. Pats doing very well all the same. Should gave scored a second but lucky not be down yo 10 and not to have conceded from the free kick.

Pats have been confident right from the start, stroking those long accurate cross field passes so easily, and have been able to control (so far) the pace of the game, if not the possession. Brilliant first half
They will be doing well to hold out, anyway .... fingers crossed.

Clarke's had a couple of headcase moments so far. Still say he's better than Rogers though.

Is forrester injured or just shagged or just because he has been playing poorly. He looks auld enough.

Was Forrester injured?

Reckon it was a change they had talked about. Could see the look on Forresters face, as if he knew it was coming.

Lull Legia into a false sense of security by letting him run around for two minutes?

We are gone to Norway without Ndo, Cretaro, Henderson and Greene. We'll do well to keep the tie alive for the 2nd leg.
did Spillane manage to make the trip this time?

Keith Fahey is going to take a serious amount of plaudits if Pat's hold out for a win, but Killian Brennan has been superb tonight and played a big part in this so far.

Did Pats buy up some old defective stock of Bohs' jerseys?

Whose the fastest player in the LOI?
One thing I've noticed down through the years in Europe is a lack of any real fast speedy full backs, wingers or even strikers.

Fagan doing a titanic job as well. Fahey really is a joy to watch though.

Was thinking the same bit early to be buying time cos they had a counter on, perhaps he thought no one was up to support him. If they had won a corner though it would have been well played

The Irish team is not very fit. Very poor goalkeeping for the equaliser.

Real shame but fack it, would have taken 1-1 all day before the match. And there's nothing there for them to fear in the second leg.

Most of them would be.
I blame Setanta for the Legia goal - on 89 they were blathering about how 1-1 would be fine...

OK thats it, fahey clearly very disappointed.
Warsaw were lacking that cutting edge, i hope that's down to just inability rather than match practice. Still they cant do a whole lot in a week.
Pats in a smaller pitch at "home" might not suit them as well from an attacking sense but defensively should help. Hopefully tallaght is packed for the return.
I told a few lads who would never watch LOI to turn it on, watched the ****tier bits with pats playing kick and hope but hopefully they saw some good bits.
I see less and less of the stupid mistakes happening that you saw 5 6 7 years ago. Bar not clearing the ball and caught in feet pats made no mistakes, no brain farts or head rushes or lack of concentration. very well done.

A fantastic result for them.
DannyInvincible
16/07/2014, 8:42 PM
Really disappointing to have thrown a victory away having had so many great chances. Still, a 0-0 draw in Tallaght will see Pat's through. Legia were shambolic at the back at times and gave Pat's a lot of space. Pat's looked very tired towards the end. Thought Fahey was terrific though.

16/07/2014, 8:42 PM
Only saw the second half, but Pat's must have been amazing in the first, because bar defending their eighteen-yard line well, they were pretty poor. It was quintessential clueless LOI-on-tour stuff, far too many touches in the defensive third, far too many first-time flicks in the attacking third. Still, terrific result.
