*cough*
People are underestimating Harps now. What we're seeing at the minute is the Harps we should have been seeing all season. Bit late now but 3 wins, a draw and one loss against Shels in the last 5 is the kind of form you don't want to come up against.
Thanks for ruining my weekend before it even starts!

There will be a change or two at the top of the table before the day is out from what I'm told. All should be revealed later.

Rough justice for Limerick being put through in the cup. Never jump to conclusions with the FAI

This being the LOI, the most likely thing to happen is that someones dropping out of the league, second most likely thing is an almighty admin balls-up. In fact the least likely thing is things continuing in a normal and logical fashion until the end of the season.

I dunno im going off Extratime says he is suspended V Harps and im told from someone that writes for them that they get their suspensions list directly from the FAI oh well never mind.
Lim till i die
07/09/2011, 5:08 PM
He had a one game suspension for the week beginning 29th August, they had a cup replay midweek. :ball:
I wouldn't trust extratime to tell me how to spell extratime tbh.

So if the FAI are following their own precedent, both teams will be awarded a loss.

This is a balls but we still have the same goal. Keep winning and I think we will go up, Mons lose to either or even both of us (Cork and Limerick) and then they are drawn right back into the battle. I think someone already said it here and I think it still stands true, the last two weeks of the season is when it will be finalised, not now.
MagicMon
07/09/2011, 11:42 PM
Total rubbish, there are still enough games for any of 4 clubs to get promoted and Mons v Cork, Shels and Limerick is still to come. No way are Limerick or Cork out of it. In fact if I was a bookie I wouldn't even be paying out on Shels finishing top (I'd be surprised if they didn't get promoted though)
bluewhitearmy
08/09/2011, 12:08 AM
The fact is we could win all 7 games and it would still not be enough that and the bigger fact that we are not good enough to win all 7 not a hope...
Mons could go 7 ahead of us after our off week no way will we catch that i dont know whey people are making it out that Mons will def lose to Cork and Us ive seen them a few times this year they are better then us.

If this does happen, you'd definitely have to back Mons for 2nd spot.

The Finn Harps secretary. :bulgy:
What a stupid, pointless, stupid, thing to do. Is the battle for 9th that hot tis??
I have seen nothing this season to suggest Cork have the beating of Monaghan either.
Limerick are out of it, do the maths. They were out of it before Harps forgot the rules aswell but meh.
bluewhitearmy
08/09/2011, 12:17 AM
Id rather Mons beat Cork...Cork are only ahead of us by 3 points but everyone is making out its Mons we have to catch.
Lim till i die
08/09/2011, 12:18 AM
I couldn't care less if its a 26 all draw, it's about as relevant to Limerick at this stage of the season as it is to a Salthill Devon or a Finn Harps.
bluewhitearmy
08/09/2011, 12:23 AM
Never know only 3 points in it...Cork could bottle it yet.
Lim till i die
08/09/2011, 12:26 AM
If Cork bottle it Longford will make the playoffs
Longford
Shels
Wexford
Mervue
Athlone
Monaghan
Waterford
I've underlined the games we will struggle to take full points from.

Shh let me dream it will make going to the last 7 games easier.
Ah ffs. Gutted by this. We'll struggle to catch Monaghan now :(

We now get lumped with a pretty big fine that we most certainly can't afford.
btw Limerick, the FAI made us do it, just to screw ye over.
Jofspring
08/09/2011, 7:45 AM
What Im told is the email stated "misses next A Championship game" plus there was no date on the email to suggest when the ban starts. Only 1 yellow was picked up playing for the 1st team, the rest were collected in the A league.
We now get lumped with a pretty big fine that we most certainly can't afford.

Well surely ye shouldn't be punished if it didn't say "misses next competitive game" or "next airtricty fixture as of the 1st of September" or something a long those lines. As far as the club was notified he was out for the A league match. Can it be appealed at all, if not for giving Mons the 3 points at least the fine. Why should a club pay a fine for the FAI's mistake.
