A fairly pathetic 422 at Limerick v Waherfurr.
Nah Nah Nah Nah

Extra time has the following
Drogs Rovers - 400 (estimate) - sounds about right to me. Shocking crowd. About half from Sligo I'd say
Shels Cork 1071
Youths Salthill - 150 (estimate)
Mervue Harps - 250
Limerick Waterford - 442 (no jokes about formations please)

Over 200 at the Youths Salthill game, more 150 anyway, ForzaForth (http://foot.ie/threads/151395-Salthill) reckons 230

Mervue Harps - 250
Not a hope. Barely 100 there with about half the crowd Harps fans.
EDIT, on another note, my first time at Fahys Field, and what a strange experience it was watching football in that ground. Anyone able to explain how it passes license requirements? No stand whatsoever. Doesn't each first division ground have to have 500 seats now? Have Mervue plans to build a stand or something? Standing at the away side you actually feel below the pitch and perspective comes into action a lot watching a game there. Hard to follow.

There's plans for a stand there on the clubhouse side alright saw them in the programme when we were up there. Jackman only has about 200 seats left intact aswell in fairness but we're leaving soon, Drom has no seats what so ever and is located on the lonely moors, but I'm sure they have plans aswell.
Think we can all agree that Mervues crowds are a figment of a PRO's imagination at this stage aswell.

Yeah fair enough - I was just quoting the figure on the match report on sligorovers.com but tbf regular matchgoers like yourself are the best estimators imo. Cracking website btw - greatly improved on recent years.

Galway Utd - Bohs = 890
This was posted over on the Bohs mb. It is an archive of attendances from 2000-2010. I found it very interesting. It factors all attendances for all competitions and reported friendlies. When you get to the main page, scroll down and click on "Ireland"

It was quite scary alright hope your meeting goes well on tuesday night , shame to see the glory hunters abandon the ship in such numbers , it just shows that any club can just be a few years away from meltdown.

i noticed - lots of fluctuation like ourselves. i also couldnt believe the rise and fall of Galways attendances from 2006 to 2010!
Would be interesting for Pineapple Stu to do a comparison of his own figures with those in the website (presuming theyre not pulling off his info) to see how close the estimations are on here. Pretty close i would imagine.

If you look at Stu's 2010 figures and the ones they give they are pretty much the same, only a difference of 2 in the figures they give for Pats, 3 for Dundalk and 10 for UCD
EDIT: they give Bohs highest attendance for 2010 as 11,155:eek:

How many turned up to see them play Liverpool reserves that time?!
First div attendences are a bit off the mark Id say for 2007,Ramblers won the league that year and the attendences were higher for that winning run in the first than most of the games in the prem the folllowing season

I know as a Mons fan I cant talk but was shocked by how few were at our game V Athlone on Saturday in Lissywoolen. Less than 100 people there and about 40 of them were Mons. 30 were on the bus and another 10 or so drove up.

You really, really, can't!! :D
As a Limerick fan though (FOUR HUNDRED AND TWENTY TWO at our last home game ) I can confirm that Athlones crowds are appalling and there's a sad but distinct smell of death around the place.

453 quoted in the Sligo Champion for the Drogheda fixture and it has two thirds of them from the north west.

I send the figures from here on (or I did till a couple of years ago; someone else does now). Other sites - like soccerway - also dip into this thread I know.

An average of 2,785 for the PD last night, obviously helped by Rovers and Derry but still an excellent start for the league after the usual crisis and doom and gloom pre season. Even higher if Cork were in PD.
A great start !
Even better if one could relegate UCD!!!:D;)

Scully always plays football that way but gets results. People have to decide is it the winning of games or pretty football they want.

A few from extratime:
Wexford/Cork- 170 (estimate)
Shels/Longford- 884
UCD/Dundalk- 500 (estimate)
Derry/Bray- 1900 (estimate)
Shamrock Rovers/Drogheda- 2500 (estimate)
About 3300 at Tallaght I'd say.
I don't know what is up with ExtraTime and their attendances and whatever strop they're throwing, but there is not a hope everyone put together would've fitted into less than the East Stand which holds 2750.

Not gonna argue with the 453 figure, but no way was two thirds of that from Sligo. More like 150 Sligo fans I'd have said

I find extratime give their estimates just as the game is kicking off. If not before that. A lot of people are obviously gonna still be coming in at that stage

Ya this run of 7 unbeaten (6 wins) and conceeding one goal in 7 games is awful ****e lets start conceeding loads so that crowds will go up watching exciting games.

It's working for us (kind of, we're conceeding goals but it's far from exciting).
About 3300 at Tallaght I'd say.

So why would the Times give an exact crowd of 2,526 then ? I have to say I find they are spot on ths season.

The Star gave a figure of 332 at the UCD Dundalk game. Mate of mine said about 220 Dundalk fans!
Even better if one could relegate UCD!!!:D;)
Since you quoted me from week 1, I`ll go back on this. UCD may not be everyone's cup of tea but they are in the PD on merit. If Cork get promoted this season this will obviously add to the better crowds at PD games, but UCD wont be going down this season thats for sure, also I dont think they have actually spent two consecutive years in the FD? Doesnt seem to suit them !
