Snugboro only stayed up because Manulla didn't beat them last year, its this that need to be qestioned.
Get over it man. That was last year. Start concentrating on this year- ask the question in your own club about why the heane can perform against ballina one day, and get hammered in manulla another! They're being unfair to themselves. If they could do a "Ballina" every week they could have won the league, not dwelling on the near relegation of last season.

But when the Connaught Cup comes around its all hell for leather for it. We all know who I'm on about and they are involved in controversy but they have been doing this for years.
Name and shame them - You could be talking about any one of 5 clubs:ball:

Dont think anyone keeps them. They can be wrong some years with people claiming goals that they havent scored to get the prize! I think its up to refs to get the goalscorers name on his report- can anyone confirm this?
How many have you got by the way?:)

As I said before the so called Super League is just a name. All it is, is just a training session for the "Big Teams" to get ready for the Connaught Cup and the FAI Cup. It must be nigh on impossible for some clubs to sign players especially the promoted clubs because they are always fighting relegation the following year. It think that questions have to be asked about the motives of some clubs in relation to the league. If they are not in contention for honours they don't put much effort into it and can be on the receiving end of some funny results which can reflect the table at both ends. But when the Connaught Cup comes around its all hell for leather for it. We all know who I'm on about and they are involved in controversy but they have been doing this for years. The Super League( in my opinion) wont be around in the next ten years with the continued mooting of the Connaught Senior League unless things and attitudes change. This thing of "throwing "games undermines all the effort people put in and makes a mockery of the "Super League"
there will always be a top div, call it what you like

Congrats on staying up and not having to rely on the machiavelli posturings of a certain 'Best club in the world' this year
Truth is ye were much better than C\Molina & C\Morris, although there is football in Glenhest so they were a shade unfortunate - Maybe ye can do a Manulla this Year and keep the Hest up. Then Club of the year 2008 will surely follow. If you can throw in a good fist fight as well - it has been know to help before.

Ur Right about one thing May be a little better than the bottom 2, but some of your results were poor. which would undermined how you manage to live up to super league standards, At leased Ballyheane held there own for there apart, if I have any criticism it was there poor discipline which may have shown some poor displays unable to field there strongest team.
Regards to horror show, try to explain. I never witness Ballyheane to struggle this
season, we won 3 games more than last year never looked like relegation candidates.
Good luck having achieved your goal in staying with the big boys!!!

Well Mossy why can't you for once congratulate Manulla for being the best club in the world, as you put it instead of bring an old grudge.
At the end of the day, they lead by good example. There are some good guys there, even though like everywhere there is local politics.
your club could have done da Hest a favour, but choose not to,so I dont think you should ask someone else to do your own tidyings
Da hest can only stay up if there good enough, and I doubt if the boro keep them up will hardly win club of the world.
I would like to think all clubs are proud of what Manulla has achieved even if some of us envy them, because we have under achieved or expect others to do there work,or just turn up for the photo shoot

Try to keep this simple for those of you have swallowed the Queen's English.
Learned today that Brendan O'Connor was given the Red Card, by Westport Football Club, after failing to deliver The A.I.B. Cup, I have learned that some of the players were not to happy in the way he Brendan O'Connor ran team affairs.
Its also alleged that P. Burns and K.Cusack has been approached to take over team affairs.
My own view is I hate to think what would have happened if he failed to bring suscess to the the club.
Or is there a hidden agenda, which is clouded over, time will tell.
Any account wish Brendan the best of luck,:p hope he gets back to what he does best. Winning.

I honestly think there is a hidden agenda here - O'Connor gets shafted. Will be interesting to see who takes charge of next game when Junior Cup starts for them!!
If players were unhappy with the season he just gave them with so many injuries and stuff there is something up with them.
Im sure Westports loss might be someone elses gain

I am sure of one thing!! the under 21 would be the window of opportunity, the senior team you call it is a junior side with in its club, I would consider a cull-da sac.
The Gray One has decided to manage the U-20 side next year, it was always objective to promote Celtic from the highest level, which is the Eircom League, and by all accounts has done that,I would consider a back step for any u-20 player who wishes to futher his career in football playing Junior football.
However junior football is there for those who don't make the next level.
