looks like the locals are getting excited !!

Hi,

I hope you already have your ticket, because referring to dfb.de the match is sold out.

I went to Stuttgart yesterday, and in some shops they already put out the Ireland and Germany jerseys in the shop windows. I guess it will be a great atmosphere that day!

Just got 4 tickets off the german ebay site. I paid 390 euro for all four which is very good cause most of the auctions are ending up at 150 euro per ticket. The tickets are in block 33, hope we are not the only irish here, but who cares i will be there. Only need 8 more for the rest of the gang (but at least i am sorted).

Anybody looking for a ticket should check out the site (see below) loads of tickets on it!!!

http://search.ebay.de/deutschland-irland-stuttgart

When you are in the site right click and you should get an option to translate to english. And make sure they post to europe as some of them only post to germany.

Good luck everyone, see you in Stuttgart, come on you boys in green

Thats a great idea 'forever d', would hate to be turned away at the turnstiles with a forged ticket. Can you imagine the pain. Can someone please do that for us poor souls forced to pay over the odds on ebay.

I got 2 tickets off eventim and they look like the first link geysir put up.
The tickets on the second link look slightly different.
Mine have a bold type like the first.
The second seem to use a slightly different thinner type.
Might be nothing.

guys i will be shocked if there are forgeries about , but the eventin tickets do look a bit suss themselves, obviously its just the little barcode that is important

I was at Stuttgart with Celtic in 2003 and their were plenty of forgeries knocking about so beware! Also, there wasn't just one type of ticket format as it depends on where they are sourced. For example it wouldn't surprise me if the ones from the FAI allocation look completely different to the eventim ones.

Im going that route as well on the Friday morning, should be good craic. If we have enough Irish on the train we could take over a carriage and have a drinking session and a few songs. Anyone else heading to Stuttgart that way.

Know someone in Germany who told me the mayor announced there will be a big screen set up in the city centre as they are expecting a lot of fans in the city with no tickets. Presumably these will be mostly Germans tho as we have all their tickets! :D

Also there is a hotel pflieger in city center that still has rooms. It is suppose to be 5 mins from main station. seems alright - its 3 star and still has triple and singles available....... 60 yo yos for single and 125 yo yos for a triple -- dont think there is any double rooms left!

I was there too mate, and I remember them opening the gates with barely a glance at tickets in people hands - you could probably have walked in ticket-less if you were in the middle of a group of people.

Are you Junior off the HB btw?

Yea we were in some little irish bar down a side street (no idea of the name!) The girl behind the bar was from Kilkenny.......... thats bout all i remember from the friday night. It was great craic -- place was mobbed and they had a CD behind the bar with every song ever written bout the Irish team BRILLANT NIGHT ......... cant wait for STUTTGART! Great idea to get wheels off on the Friday so you dont want to look at drink til Sat afternoon ... good way to stay fresh for the match!

True enough, mate of mine got in by flashing the hotel address card, he was too pi$$ed to know the difference. Wouldn't want to bank on getting in with a hotel card though!!

got stung there too -

i applied for the credits instead of the refund - just get ryanair monday morning.

are we definately entitled? as in the drop down menu it said "resaon for cancelling : - flight change +/- 3 hours whereas the flight is only been moved forward an hour or so?

maybe its because its the last flight on the sunday

Not sure, which is better the refund or the credits, I went for the refund but I am sure it does not make much difference. My credit card could do with a refund. Kind of handy in one way as I get to see a mate in London and one of the guys cant go and we get a refund on this flight which he would not have made anyway.

Just got an e mail from them today if you go on to their website you cant booked that flight now as it does not show. They must have cancelled it due to lack of interest (find that hard to believe) or due to security issues at the airports maybe.

Yeah I am staying with friends and flying back the next day.

It seems they've just changes the flight time FR 297 to depart at 19:45 now instead of 21:50.

Our booking has been automatically moved to this new departure time, no options of a refund or anything like that, actually not even an email from them.

I'll give them 24 hours to get in touch, would have thought they would just blanket email all concerned at the one time (others I know who have booked have not recieved email yet either).

Will most likely have to rebook the whole stansted and dublin legs anyhow to give a bigger window what with the security issue of late. Ah well.

Story Lads!

Just some info on the Ryanair Issues, as a man in the know!!!!

Anybody that where originally on the Stansted-Dublin at 2150

This is what they are entitled to, the flight was changed by 2hrs and 15mins

People can have a full refund on there ticket or a travel credit, Lads the better option of the 2 is to get a refund as the travel credit only lasts 6months and then if you havent used it all you will lose the credit!

If you get in quick enough you can get your changed flight moved onto flights the following day the 4th sep for free depending on availability

When writing this, below are the available flights for you to change onto free
of charge the following.

0630-0745
0815-0925
0935-1050
1115-1230
1205-1320
1600-1715

Hope this helps!!

For anyone leaving it late you can still get great value from Ryanair as I just booked another mate.
Dublin-Standsted 31st August last flight of the day and leaving for Karlsruhe Baden on the first flight on Friday 1st and back through London on the 4th all by Ryanair can be done for only E101 inc taxes and charges ie all flights are 99c except the first Dub-Stansted which is E25

Don't think it can be done for less than 160 euro looking at the price now, 95 euro for the Dub leg, 40 sterling for the german leg. Not the best way to start your weekend with an overnighter in the airport! Still good value for the people who don't need sleep.

Cheers for that . I clicked on the refund option and that is going to take 5-7 days to process. I then went in and booked the 9.35 flight the next morning from Stanstead to Dublin. I have paid for this on my credit card. How do you go about getting it free of charge.

I see that alright, they've only put it up in the last 2 days cos I got it on Tuesday eve. Most of us booked it at 99c all the way so were laughing.

Overnighter shouldnt be a problem with 24hour pub licences at the airport. The perfect way to start the weekend! Bit of kip when we arrive in Stuttgart round 11-12ish and then out for the warm up session. Cant wait!

This becomes a bit of a dillema for you

When you got the email the best thing would have been to call Ryanair and say that you where unhappy with the change and want to change it to the flight the next morning..........

Then they would have moved you onto it free of charge
Now that you have clicked on the refund you've set that ball rolling in that respect.

See you booked a new flight and now they'll say thats non refundable!!

You could chance your arm by givin them a call and see if they will change the original ticket for free due to the flight being cancelled and refund the new booking.

Got the said email from Ryanair, opted for the full refund on both legs and rebooked for 50% of the original price. Would have had to rebook anyhow as the window of time we had outbound between Ryanair and German Wings was only 1 and a half hours in Stansted which could have been cutting it tight.
