Sure it’s a no brainier for Bradley all the same. Gets to look at him for 4 months and if he likes what he sees will sign him in a free when his contract ends.

I can't see where he plays especially if we don't make groups in Europe.

Sure you are delighted, I would be too to stop the drsruptive influence around a squad.

From a Rovers perspective I've no earthly idea why Bradley has got another midfielder, but what do I know eh!
Gary O'Neills days are clearly numbered, McEniff hasn't got going since he signed (imo), Mandriou is always injured,Jack Byrne seems permanently unhappy, Noonan is hopefully coming back from Waterford, Nugent probably wants to leave to get game time.... Perhaps, perhaps there is a reason why Bradser wanted him so badly...

Matt Boylan (St. Pat's) to Treaty United.
Alex Dunne (Kerry) and Kyle Robinson (Athlone) to Longford.
Ewan Lee (UCC) and Shane Maroodza (Barnet) to Kerry.
Waterford signed 3 players from the UK in the past week . Jordan Rossiter who played for Liverpool and Rangers in his early years and is a midfielder. Finlay Armstrong and Josh Miles also signed.

Robinson announced by the club before KO last Saturday, no word on Dunne, who certainly wasn't in matchday squad. Youre guess as good as mine why it seems to be smoke and mirrors when it comes to announcing players.

Yes Shels have signed Sean Moore ex-Cliftonville from West Ham for an undisclosed fee, looks like he has been signed in mind to develop into a wing-back and to cover Tyreke Wilson's injury

Least he won't have to move much farther over when Cork raid their squad next season.
Was surprised Dundalk were even looking at him a few weeks ago
Have Shels forked out a decent transfer fee here? I'm surprised Shels were able to sign a player who's under contract at West Ham. It looked like he was progressing ok at WH's underage teams, so I'm surprised to see him back in Ireland so soon after leaving for 6 figure fee.

I read rumours in another forum that it was 350k which seems insane to me so I doubt it's true. Especially if the plan is to transition him to a new position. It's all well and good a premier league team taking a punt on a player and spending that kind of sum but that's a massive fee for a LOI team to pay to take a gamble on a youngfella

Shels have bought Milan Mbeng from Cork on a multi year deal for an undisclosed fee too. He had been linked with Pats and I had mixed feelings on it as he looked a decent player but the sample size is small and Pats have been stung by that in the past by giving Kazeem an 18 month deal last summer and he’s never performed anywhere near the level he did for Galway in the first half of the season.
Pats have signed Northern Ireland U21 captain Darren Robinson on loan from Derby, defensive midfielder apparently so just some cover for Jamie Lennon I’d imagine unless Kenny wants to play 2 defensive minded midfielders in certain games which he hasn’t really done at all while in charge of Pats

Shels splashing that European money anyway. I've been impressed by Mbeng the few times I've seen him, pretty raw but in a functional team he could be some asset.

Tried to pick the brain of a Hartlepool mate earlier about him. Not much they could say as they said he made very little impact during his loan there. The fact he couldn't make a mark at a mid table National League side makes the signing less that exciting. Hopefully he can stay fit and make some sort of an impact.

Moore was entering the final year of his three year West Ham contract, yes Moore was regular in their Under 21s but he wasn't making the first team or had any loan spells in the EFL so I don't see any six figure transfer fee paid by Shels not even taking into consideration O'Brien's relationship with West Ham, there are articles back in April 2023 reporting Cliftonville were receiving £170k/€200k range for Moore back then

Hartlepool let Greg Sloggett go out on loan last season (then released him at the end of the season) so I guess that might be an approximation?

I don't think he wants to come back though. Doesn't his partner play for a women's premier league team over there? That was one of the reasons he's over there at the very least.

Yeah he said that on a podcast last year that he’s over there while she is. He’s now at Boston United and she’s at Nottingham Forest which are about 85 mins apart so a handy one for them to live together and travel to training

Yet another nail in Cork's coffin as it’s been confirmed Cathal O'Sullivan did his ACL on Friday. Gutted for the kid, was meant to get a big move this summer but clubs seemed to want to hold out until January so they’d only have to pay the compensation fee and now this happens to him

Good move for him. He just wasn't getting game time with us. Hasn't really been playing even after he came back from injury.
Him and Paddy McClean can ride-share too, which is handy.

Jamie Stott, a central defender has signed from Morecambe. Certainly need more bodies in that position.
He got their player of the season last year, though they were relegated from League 2.

Since their relegation, there has been significant controversy concerning their ownership position, and the club may very well cease to exist shortly, so the whole squad, unsurprisingly, are filing for the exit doors:

An important lesson on how not to communicate for Kerry FC here. The vagueness of the statement has caused the tweet to go viral (over 1.6 million views) and it’s been picked up by massive amounts of racists that are giving the two players, as well as the club disgusting abuse online. What the two lads allegedly did is a disgrace right enough but it could’ve been handled so much better by Kerry

Agree on this.
They should have posted a "normal" release. What they posted was idiotic and driven by emotion and, as you said, has only drawn more attention due to the vagueness of it.
Not dissimilar to the statement earlier in the year where they called the FAI bullies, in that they've let emotions overtake logic.

Hard to disagree with your point about giving racists oxegen they dont need, its a pity one of them wasnt white to kill that angle but in a way i admire Kerry for making an issue of it, these guys deserve to be hammered for that sort of behaviour rather than be let just slip away and join another club somewhere else and carry on as normal.
Assuming thay are guilty which Kerry must be pretty sure of or they are going to have some legal bill after 1.6 million views.......jeez 3 million views just checked

Football is a small world and bad news will likely catch up on those lads wherever they go without being smeared though. I'm not excusing their actions at all for what it's worth.
Joe Gorman was released by Harps in normal fashion after a drunk driving charge. I'm sure plenty of us are in the know about releases in our clubs which had more layers to them but clubs said the bare minimum.

I guess 95% statements from LOI clubs announcing that a player is leaving/released contains no details on the background of their departure, I've no doubt there have been other LOI players released by clubs over the years due to juicy controversial circumstances that would go viral on social media but the clubs wisely kept quiet with a boring one liner that the player has left club and nobody bats an eyelid
Saying that if the Kerry players did what is being claimed I'm not feeling much sympathy either

Unfortunately there are idiots out there who bring racism and people's colour into the discussion. That shouldn't be tolerated.

Hence the reaction after the Longford game a few seasons back, as many of the homegrown players at the time (and indeed most are still at the club) were from minority backgrounds, and the club wanted to show zero tolerance from the beginning.
