the ddsl hammered limerick youths 4-0,and limerick youths are no bad side
I think limerick were beaten 4-0 by a different team. Limerick were beaten by the Dublin A.U.L. youths. They are not the Dublin Schoolboys League.

Dublin AUL and Dublin Schoolboys drew 0 v 0 in the 1st Round of games.
Manager Peter Sullivan has done well with the youth squad, they may not be the most talented squad in the 1/4 Finals but they seem to be able to pull out the results at home.
Dublin will be hot favorites, but you never know on the day. Think it has to be played before 16th March.

Are you sure that league table is correct? I may be wrong but would somebody from Cashel Town or Wilderness verify it? I thought Cashel had 13 played and were on 16 points. Have they just one game left, at home to St.Michaels? Wilderness have two games left, I think, at home to Clonmel Town and away to St.Michaels?

We have 2 games left.
The game you are reffering to is Cashel and Wilderness.they played before Christmas and the game was abandoned after 60+ minutes due to the pitch tearing up.weather was bad so that led to the game being stopped.

Think that time came a few blunders back to be honest but if they go on an win the league an cup all will be forgotten. With celtic down to play bansha sunday and maybe the bridge nxt week looks like there leavin town michaels and celtics games till the end should be an exciting finish have a feeling town might nick it.
Should be good end to season so with big games held to last. Bit of excitement badly needed with little or no fai and mjc action going to involve tsdl sides apart from celtic in mjc. Hopefully lack of fai action may revitalise tipp cup as this competition has been a damp squib past few seasons. Few games on this weekend in the competion. Town and Cahir park probably the pick of the games. Both will fancy their chances. Any predictions ???
Congrats to Peake Villa Youths last week on securing youth dividion 2 last week and tipp town fc on securing another promotion to division 1. Also best of luck to Cahir park youths against dundalk tomorow. A massive test for them.
On the bashing of saints keeper on this , leave it out lad has alot of service given to the game and no player deserves to be wrote about like that on a forum on junior soccer.

flipper is a gentleman and that is half his problem goalies are generally headcases :) flipper often cancelled trips to matches in england to play league games for saints on a sunday morning, 1 of the most dedicated lads you will ever come across. his confidence is low at times and i sometimes wonder why because he is one of the best keepers technically you will come across. nice win for saints tonight league is still very much on for them going to be some end to season.

The eight teams in the quarter-finals draw are, Ballynanty Rovers (Limerick), Cahir Park, Castlebar Celtic (Mayo), Castlebridge Celtic (Cork), Castleview (Cork), Edenderry Town (Offaly), Letterkenny Rovers (Donegal), Mervue Utd (Galway).
Note no Dublin teams. Cahir Park in with a fair chance. Favourites are Castleview.

Went to the St Michaels v Oldbridge game Friday night, without wishing to get dragged into an argument or insult anyone I just have to ask the question, as a club surely Oldbridge need to address the simply unacceptable attitude of some of their players, the Bridge have some excellent players and on their day can compete with anybody but then they go out and get thumped 8-0 due to players strolling around the place, it is this attitude that saw them almost go out of business as a club and the people who put in so much effort to save them deserve more, Paul Ryan was a fine player and has the making of a top manager and he surely needs to address this, I am aware they were missing a few but a club like Oldbridge should not be going out getting thumped 8-0, it does nothing for the Tsdl as a league and surely some of these guys should have a bit more personal pride, maybe it's an anti Clonmel thing and they don't want to hand Celtic the league, I don't know but again a bit of pride in yourself should prevent those kind of petty disputes

I think Stelling's post is being very unfair to the Old Bridge. There are often some strange results at this time of the year. I remember Peake Villa losing 10-0 to St Michaels a few years ago and Celtic also lost 9-0 up there recently. You have already pointed out that the Bridge were missing players. It should also be mentioned that this was Bridge's first game in February while it was St Michaels's fourth game. I was also informed that when the Bridge rang the league to say that a Friday night fixture didn't suit them the League Administrator hung up on the caller. For a team that nearly folded in the summer Bridge deserve a lot of credit for their efforts this season. As for the ant-Clonmel reference in your post, that's rubbish as a lot of these guys are friends and some are work colleagues.
If you want to start a debate, maybe it should be on the following topic i.e. is it fair that the League Administrator who has clear associatons with St Michaels is the person who is scheduling the fixtures and is deciding when St Michaels will play Town and Celtic in the league run in?. A bit of a joke if you ask me. A basic legal principle is that a person should NOT be involved in making a decision in a matter in which he has a significant interest. Go figure.

Just a few things in relation to the bridge michaels game Friday night. Stella g I think your being a bit unfair to the bridge. Without wanting to harp on about it but as you said we nearly folded at the start if the year. I think we have shown great heart and fight to do aswell as we did this season. It was our first game in nearly a month and due to different circumstances were were missing 5 first team regulars. Without sounding defeatist we were always going to be up against it. And as for the anti clonmel statement. weong again. Roberts in relation to us contacting the league to say Friday night disnt suit us and that the league admin hung up on us is totally untrue. The only people we were in contact with in relation to the fixture was St. Michaels.

Look as i said i had no intention of insulting anyone i just feel that certain players playing with the Bridge seem to lack a bit of personal pride at times and i felt the club and the people who put in so much effort deserved more respect than that, i never said there was a anti Clonmel thing i simply enquired was that the issue, a few weeks back it looked like Bridge could have a big say in who wins the league, not rolling over for saints and celtic, i think they are better than that, it was just an opinion

ok not going to start anything but why are saints not playing a league game either this week or next,(could it be due to the fact that they have 3 main players away with the ireland junior squad, and that the league administration person has ties with them),just an observation from the fixtures,,and why are the tsdl putting on games on a friday night for the B team could it be to make money with the big following that Tipperary Town have in the town. I think Tommy lewis has a lot to answer for

going to clear few things up for you here your obviously lost. 1, you asked a ques about saints not having alge game for few weeks, and then answered it by saying they have 3 players away on international duty so why did you ask??. 2, some saints club members have organised a charity match in cooke park for this sat nyt with all proceeds going to a tipp town charity that does alot for the town, and surely it makes sense to play the bteam game on pitch before the charity game as pitch could be damaged come sunday would you not agree??. finally your point about tipp town having a big following in the town, iv been at most of tipp towns home games this season and there has hardly been 20 or 25 people at any of those games(not including players and officials) except the 3 games against saints. would hardly call that support and for the record you will have just as many if not more supporting saints this fri night.

Great post repulican cant expect michaels to have to play big important games without 3 big players not available due to bein away on international duty plus I doubt celtic or town mind gives both a chance to sretch the gap even more. Cant wait for the big one nxt week loss for either will all but end there chances can see a feisty one.

Not sure what ur getting at fella but its obvious ur contempt for saints , I will throw it back to you why did your team change direction of field against saints recently and why did ye change venue against glen villa ? I would imagine fir the sane reason as saints alternate pitches . Saints b have played at least 6 times on Cooke the recent been a few weeks ago against killusty you seem to be the only connected with ttfc who have a problem with Friday night fixture . There is a good relations between the players and mmanagement teams if both clubs so don't be trying to cause friction between clubs where there is none as lots of lads support both teams
