If Tom Lewis was aware of the players been unregistered because of the 48hour rule, Why wasnt the game just postponed, till a later date ?? Games are postponed every week, its no major deal so why not this one . He surely knew there would be complications further down the road. It would of saved a lot of bother . Fair play to Villa anyway

How in the name of god can a team play a game with not 1 player registered,it's a farce, peake should get the points end of story, bridge were illegal, simple as,ye'll be the laughing stock of the country if they dont,Lewis made sure a limerick club was thrown out of FAI because of an illegal player, and now he is letting a whole team get away with it,some morals that fella,I also see John Delaney could be in serious trouble according to reports going around limerick.

Would like to congratulate the Peake Villa manager on proving me wrong when i said losing to a 3rd division team in Fai was the worst result in the clubs history, they went and topped it today losing AT HOME to Ballypatrick in Munster

Alot of very poor results today from premier teams in MJC. Didnt realise it earlier in season but has to be flagged now, that the standard in Tsdl Premier apart from saints and celtic is terrible. Bansha hammered today by tipp town fc, cashel dumped out by glengoole, oldbridge haunted to beat Galbally with an injury time goal, wildies beaten by cullen. I know thats the magic of the cup with upsets etc but you really would expect the premier teams to preform alot better
I predicted few weeks ago the 3 out of tipp in MJC would be saints, celtic and cahir park and cant really see that changing

Have to agree. The Premier in South Tipp is the weakest it has been in over 20 years and I don't see that changing for some time to come. There is no draw any more for outside players to play in Tipp as you have so many poor games to play.

Have to agree with you on some aspects balls.from a Cashel point of view, and I wasn't at the game, but from what I've heard,Cashel rested about 6 or 7 first team players. The Cashel B team did not have a game so a few of them went and played.
Does that show a bad attitude which enevitabley cost them a place in the next round? I think so myself.

But that is the beauty of cup football.you see it in the cup games in England.there is always freak results.thats not to take anything away from Glengoole, well done to them.
They must move on,very big game against Clonmel town this coming weekend,a team they have always done well against.
Lookin forward to the amateur game on Sunday.but if its anything like the football played by the senior team,it could be a long night in the stands..best of luck to them.

Yes, big crowd expected at both games, good luck in particular to Saints B.... and their Management, Skinner and Chalky.. hope weather stays dry... €6 not bad for an Ireland/Scotland with four saints lads on the panel.. Of course they will put out a full team. You should not rely on information that comes from "talk down the town" i.e. pub.
Are you a Cashel supporter as you go from one line using the word "they" to using the word "we" on another?

Yes it was a dissappointing performance but there were 6 players missing due to injury and one other unavoidable absenteeism which makes a total of 7 players out. Resting players would be the last thing I would call it. Any team in the league would certainly feel the effects of missing several 1st teamers.

Freak results happen in football and that was one of them. The performance may not have been up to scratch in parts but Cashel had the better chances and hit the woodwork twice and missed a few that on another day would have gone in. Glengoole battled throughout and showed a real fighting spirit when 2-1 and 3-2 down. Would like to wish them the best of luck in the next round

In respect to Sgt Bilko he does post alot of things about Cashel, and likes to keep up to date with how they are doing.im a supporter and like to get to as many games as i can and like me he's very disappointed with the result.
i was told there were 3 or 4 injuries, but with the Cashel B team not having a game did that play a part in Cashel resting a few players, along with there injuries? i did not know Cashel dominated the game as regards chances,i was merely told that it was an understrength team.

Tipp Man do you know anything about their injury list? ie will there be a few missing on sunday against Clonmel Town? in reply to sgt bilko about being in the "top three's" shadow,i think its a case for alot of teams.the amount of players from Cashel who have left and gone to these clubs and other clubs is remarkable.

what makes the Cashel team special as a Team is that they have all grown up and played together since schoolboys, they play GAA together and have done so again, for a very long time. i would like to see them do well again this year and maybe a good cup run, which would be very good for the club.

I have to say I never thought I would b looking forward to a 2nd division game but Sundays shield final game has really got the town going , saints with a new management and team up against tipp town with ex saints as managers and a team with lots of experience , it wil b interesting to see how both teams will perform ? And also a well done to the Tsdl fir playing game in the town which is common sense been applied for once rather having both clubs travelling

i dont totally blame the manager. mourinho couldnt sort out that club. on the cashel thing its great to see the team stick together and i think if they have everyone fit they will get something from the town game. not too many teams in the shadow of town anymore whatever about celtic and saints. think they are getting their just desserts for putting together a team full of outsiders a few years back, took a few players off us and we have only got one of them back since. not the way to build your club

Thought Town played really well yesterday but then gave away a sloppy goal just on half time. Should have scored at start of second half with McSherry and Levi Whelan all going close. Cashel keeper did pull off a number of great saves. Then Cashel got a 2nd before a brilliant free kick from Adam McSharry. The Old Bridge MJC result aprt, Town going along nicely. They arent world beaters but they are starting to gel. My only concern is the concession of sloppy goals again. A clean sheet would be nice.

RESPECT. dont think you would see that happening anywhere else in the country this indeed is a unique derby where there are lots of friends on both sides and a great night was had :)

credit to the management for not loading the team. Especially with final being on so early in the season, the option was there. Difference between two evenly matched teams was in the final third. Darren Stokes and Packie Farrell worked incredibly hard and linked up very well. Tipp town fc im sure will be dissappointed but will kick on from here in the other competitions
