Don't forget Termonbarry. They'll have the pikes ready for you if you forget to mention them again.

Imagine when someone googles Termonbarry sometime in the future and this is the page that comes up due to the number of mentions of Termonabarry in it.

Cavan -
Leitrim -
Roscommon - Athlone Town?

Cavan Town is only an hour away from the Flansiro. There's towns and villages in Cavan, Leitrim and Roscommon within easy striking distance of the flansiro.

Distance from a club is just an excuse, not a justification for supporting a team in a different bloody country. Lots of people who use that excuse are further from an airport than they are Irish team ffs.

We've got Leitrim anyway - they've got the same junior league.

Jim never visited Termonbarry or wherever.

Got told last night by a "goiy" from South Dublin I was sad for having a passion for an Irish team. He loves Liverpool. Loves them so he does.

I used to often stop for petrol on the way to that village outside Longford on the way to Ballina from Dublin. Can't remember the name of it though

Well he's right isn't he? Liverpool are the finest exponents of total football around - Sligo just can't compete.

Nearly came to blows myself with my uncle. Said the League of Ireland was 'sad,' and that I was too - for supporting it. Nevermind the fact that he is a Tipperary man, now living north of London, who used to support West Ham until they became sh!te, at which point he turned his attention to Man United, who he now calls 'us.'

Yeah, I'm said.

Wouldn't worry about them lads. Bunch of nerds.

Just trying the "hey look, we're so cool & alternative"

The type of bloke who think Nick Hornby invented football and didn't play subbutteo as a kid but now buy it off e-bay

The type of lads who used to get battered in my school. Rightly so.

Hipsters!

I'm sure Termonbarry's chipper is nice, but surely you can't be saying it's better than Dromineer? Before the Crow's Nest burnt down it had the best chips in Ireland (in my humble opinion). Proper pub chips beat the chipper ones every time!

Talking about barstoolers, did you see the ad in the papers thats in with football pages saying that football is best watched in the pub? Its annoying that an ad like that is placed in with reports from the league games at the time when the clubs are trying to gain support.

Tarmonbarry, officially Termonbarry (Irish (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Irish_language): Tearmann Bearaigh),[1] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Termonbarry#cite_note-0) is a village in County Roscommon (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/County_Roscommon), Ireland (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Republic_of_Ireland).

Oh really? I'd never tried to get tickets to a Dutch game before. I just assumed it must have been a league regulation. I know Den Haag have had a lot of problems with crowd trouble historically, so maybe they're trying to crack down on that. If it's not the same for every club, I might try and see another game. Den Haag is the closest club, but Utrecht (her team), Ajax, Excelsior, Sparta and Feyenoord are all pretty close to Leiden.

To combat hooliganism in Holland they brought in a system where you need to be a member of a club to buy tickets for games - once you're a member of one club then you can buy tickets to any game you want.
There are a few exceptions to this, Ajax being the most notable one due to tourists wanting to visit the Arena.

I went to a Den Haag game about 8 years ago and it was the same - they said I had to become a member but I had my passport with me and eventually persuaded them to let me in - with much discussion with the police and head of security! That was for a 2nd Division game with only about 1500 people at it - now that they're in the Eredivisie there would be no chance of being let in without membership - particularly at Den Haag.

Ahh Termonfeckin, the home off the GAA team "the Fechins",nice place but not as beautiful as Termonbarry.
The bridge area in Termonbarry is a stock ugly, par for the course irish village bridge by day that transforms into a wonderful, beautiful place when the lights hit the Shannon at night.

Just noticed that the wiki "Termonbarry" page is in Dutch (http://nl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Termonbarry). Could it be that huge discussion on Termonbarry by fans of Go Ahead Eagles and Den Haag is the reason we are not showing higher than page 49?

I am taking the wife back to Ireland in the Summer, and we're doing a mini road trip around - Termonbarry is starting to look like a good place to stop for a feed of petrol and a tank of food.

BonnieShels

Once you stop on the bridge and get a picture taken otherwise we won't believe you ever went to the spiritual hoke of Irish soccer.
