you would never know with managers, there was talk here about 6 weeks ago that shane o hanlon was under pressure, now it would look like his is the safest job in town, couple of bad results for the boro in the next few weeks and he could be gone!! rumour mill has it that pa mul is on his way to fairview. who is managing balla? surely he will be under a bit of pressure, they have under performed a bit havent they?

what munster junior cup finalist, only for one or two bad results we'd still be in with a shout of the league. next year we'll clean up!

Danny Hanley also very doubtful so they must have been missing a few more coz Alan Barry and Ronan Sherlock will be out for the season regardless (if rumours are to be believed).

Firstly the match was called off because their was 2 fixtures down for the boro tonight, and the f/s secretery called off the boro fixture because they have only 2 league fixtures(due too not getting matchs off during the season) left while must clubs have 4 left.
Secondly Ronan Sherlock has got his 3 month ban over-turned by the munster council,so would be available for the match tonight. Alan Barry got 3 pins inserted in his leg on Monday night so his out for along time to come, every other boro player would have been available for tonight.

Star were told that the F/S gave Boro first option whether to play their game tonight v Star or have it called off and let the Carew v Aisling game go ahead, and Boro opted for the latter. (I wonder why?)

Tony is a gentleman and a credit to the game, but last night certainly strengthens the case for linesman at games. Don't know if its a case of a shortage of refs or a case of money but it would help both the players and referee alike.

I know its not a new thing but the league really truely needs some younger refs. Some of the refs in town are just in it for the money and are clearly past it. The league must do something to entice people into refereeing. I know the stick that the refs get doesn't help the case though.

Went through ref seminar this year been ref for schoolboys for last few months ... have much more respect for the referee's these guys who say there in it for the money, don't know what there talking about they are doing for the same reason i'm starting to do it.. they love the game.

its not them who destroy the integrity of the game its the players lack of respect of anyone bar themselves that have done it..

it was a great game but aisling did def... not deserve to win far from it carew were 3-1 up and than 4-2 up in the second half. ref gave UL a disgraceful pen it was prob one of the worst pens given to a team iv seen in a long time corbett clearly slid in wrapped his two feet around the ball and came out with it and tony points to the spot crazy. two goalkeeping mistakes from mona got ul there 3rd and 4th goals failing to hold onto the ball again no one blames him because he is not a keeper. but again it was our owe fault we had plenlty of chances to mak it 5 or 6-2 and did,t take them again.

The dodgy peno was given to partly make up for the gift of 2 off side goals.
Mona spilled the free that was hit with that in mind, 5 AA players could have tapped it in, did not se any carew players there to bail out their keeper.
AA scored two well worked goals and finished the last 15 minutes looking like they would win the game.

Anyway who cares both teams will be playing premier football next season
