balla dropped points today against star.. anyone see the game??
We went 1 up after 10mins with a great free kick from Shane O'Loughlin (ex Balla), and then the same player got sent off 5mins later as he kicked out at Dave Dunphy after a challenge.
We defended very well for the remainding 75mins with 10 men, and conceded 2mins into 5mins of injury time.

Updated with Star 1-1 Balla & Herbertstown 0-2 Fairview, and I'm also informed that Herberstown now only have 14 games played and 10pts after yesterday, when I had them down for having played 14 with 11pts before yesterday.

I'm a balla man and I'll admit the last couple of seasons these matches could have been more competitive, but pike have themselves to blame for being hated so much.
Pa Mullaly will be boro manager next season. Fact! wonder what the boro lads think of that?

i heard the same thing over the weekend. i wonder how come Shane O Hanlon is getting the push over. there wil b a few pike guys up there next yr i say.

Silly season starting early with you boys...how many times are you going to try and start a stupid RUMOUR concerning the boro. The boro are tipping along nicely. Lets concentrate on your own clubs. The rumour that i heard is that Pat Mullaly will be taking over a club that he previously played for and as far as i know he has not ever signed a form for the boro. As for the boro, the managers position is only considered once the football season is over.
the previous 4 managers with the exception of Mike ryan, all stepped down at the seasons end, none were removed by the club. so lets try and stop this crap. i am beginning to think that when there is no news, people make up this crap.It would be in Balla better interest to concentrate on balla and not be organising Coup's for your buddies on ldmc...who will be the ball manager next year?????

In all fairness there is half a season to go this year and ye are already talking about next season.
The rumour is Pa Mul is taking over Boro next season. But anything could happen between now and then. How about we concentrate on this season first.
Also for WIDOW heard that there was a big bust up at Balla training on Tuesday night between the manager and one of your better players. The player in question walked off. Any truth in that?

I know I said last week that I would stay with Star regardless of the end of season outcome, but being realistic, if we do get relegated and most of the team leave as well as the manager, then I would have to look at it again.
But on a positive note, we look forward to Sunday, and if we do win along with Regional beating Aisling then we are a point ahead of both Aisling and Herbertstown, with a game in hand on Herbertstown and game more played than Aisling, so it's all to play for............for now.

Cant confirm or deny what you have heard. what i can tell you is taht P.Maloney was dropped for the last game because he was absent from training over a fair period. I have no knowledge about A.Barry Leaving the club,he Scored a hat-trick in our last game.He was always good to train..so i iam in the dark as much as you are.
Would be a disappointment if any of what you have posted turns out to be true, could possibly have a poor affect on us winning the league but the other lads who would come in would not let themselves or the club down..

it would be unfortunate for the boro ok if alan went.he is probably the best striker in town.it just seems a strange one at this stage of season when ye are motoring along nicely if its true.wouldnt be as worried about moloney.hes always been the same wherever he went.maybe it might be a question of the 2 lads looking for attention.alan never seems to be out of the rumour mill anyway whether its limerick 37,pike or st michaels hes meant to be joining.id get sick of it anyway if i was top of league.cant be good for team morale.

it wouldnt be the first time that bunch of players were relegated... is it just coincidence????? id be a worried manager anyway if five or six star players came to me pre season and signed wit my club... i mean relegation from the division would be an almost certainty, imo the players that are in a relegated side should have the respect for the club to get them outta the sh!tty mess they got the club into!!!look at poor abbey rovers sur... have you a concience at all bud!!!!!!

a few of the star players have been relegated on more than one occasion with a variety of teams, the fact of wether some of them are good enough for premier is definitly the question.
They have a few quality players eg Brian o doherty, docs the full back, nolly in goal, locky and possibly one or 2 more but them same players can't be expected to carry the team every week and against premier teams you need 11 good players every week.
