So KK77, looks like you'll need another change of name after Rafa B and KK77. Managers going back seldom work. Will it be DA ?
Kevin Keegan...
:)

I heard yesterday afternoon it will be AVB.

Who would have thought 18 months ago that on the same day King Kenny was getting sacked, Roy Hodgson would be announcing his England squad for the European Championships!
How would you feel about AVB KK? Presume Rafa is your No.1 choice?

Haven't really thought a lot about it to be honest. I don't think AVB would be the worst choice though. I think he was shafted at Chelsea overall. Ok i know he didn't help himself at times but he struck me as a decent man but also a good manager at the wrong club at the wrong time.

They've just shown Dalglish drive away from Anfield without a seatbelt on.
It's too late to look for three points now!
Kenny Dalglish certainly does epitomise everything that is most sacred in Liverpool
...now that he's unemployed

Bizarrre ok. I see Martinez name been mentioned as well by the media. Keeping a team from being relegated compared to getting a team challenging for CL positions or better are two totally different jobs. I think he would need to move on to a club like Villa before getting his teeth in to Liverpool.
Rafa B hasn't exactly set the world on fire since he left/asked to leave Liverpool? As I said before, going back seldom works. As for AVB, Di Matteo has shown there is material to work with at Chelsea, something he failed to do. Given time he might do well at Liverpool but managers don't get time.

Yeah, Martinez and Rodgers are flavours of the month. I do have a lot of time for Martinez but it is difficult to compare the job he has done to the job he would be expected to do at Liverpool. I would expect him to change their style of play significantly though.

You have to make the leap at some point. Fact is Martinez has gotten better than anyone would have expected from a team with declining resources that sells all its best players every year. That doesn't mean he'd do well at Liverpool, but it does show he has a track record of exceeding expectations, not just surviving.

I always thought that stood for Kevin Kilbane (who was born in 1977) :o

If he gets the job, hopefully he takes McCarthy with him.

But they have also got some thumpings under him over the past few seasons but he became flavour of the month when he had a good run in at the end of the season, including a win at Liverpool!! In fact if he was a manager of any other club he probably would have been sacked mid-season and there would be no talk of him getting the Anfield gig. Hopefully he'll bring James McCarthy to Liverpool if he gets the job.

Dave Whelan was actually talking about sacking him earlier in the season. He was on SSN last night telling the world he was only off the phone 45 minutes back from Liverpool. Rent a quote if ever there was one!

I remember Whelan making some comment about being curious as to why certain players were left out for some game but I don't think a sacking was ever on the cards. Are you just a little upset with him after his scathing attack (http://soccernet.espn.go.com/news/story/_/id/1071806/dave-whelan-advises-roberto-martinez-to-stay-away-from-liverpool?cc=5739) on your soulless club KK :D

I see Brendan Rodgers (http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2012/may/18/swansea-city-brendan-rodgers-liverpool-interview) isn't interested. This could be like Wolves all over again, I wonder could ye lure Terry Connor lol lol roflmfao :D

Or the position has been filled already and this is American pr! Wink, wink!
I always thought that stood for Kevin Kilbane (who was born in 1977) :o
Was Kevin Kilbane really born the same year Kevin Keegan was part of Liverpool's first of five European Cup wins?
Could be a good quiz question that yeah?!

He's now manager, making their 3 most recent managers an Englishman, a Scotsman and a Irish man. Surprising, haven't seen any gutter English journos crack any Paddy jokes about it yet:)
