Rumours of match fixing on...
http://www.thebohs.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=8798
Any truth to it?
On seeing Galways 4th goal and Alan Gough's disgraceful attempt at saving it then I would agree.
It seemed to me as if Gough left it in to plump up the goal difference as an apology for fcuking the club up at the start of the year.
This 9 changes is a load of crap too. Why didn't they make 9 changes vs Cobh.....................Tossers!

Didn't they lose 3-0 in that game with Cobh?
Does it matter how many changes they didn't make? Yez got the points.
Fahey and Guy on for Pats now as they get on top of the game.

It was in UCD's hands for long parts, then Harps took over for a while, Cobh had a brief spell lately but now it's in our own hands, we're not looking for anyone to drop points, we just got to do our own thing!

Was Cobh's 3 - 0 win against Pat's a fix too?
Or is Galway United's 6 match unbeaten run a fix?

Pats beaten at home to both Galway and Cobh. All a bit strange. Perhaps poetic justice would see Pats finish third in the league:rolleyes:
I believe its an 8 match unbeaten run ?
I DO !!!!!! But exaggerate a small bit ! :D
I think Nick Leeson planted stories in the world media these last few months about the Galactic Federation Of Light coming to earth on Oct 14th (look it up, true story, well not so much true as nonsense) to undermine the Finn Harps coaching staff's motivational training sessions. Then he sent his minions to Cobh the night before the tidy towns inspection to litter the place so their players would have little or no pride in what is now officially the most dirty town in Ireland (effects of this will be seen in the last 3 games). And UCD, you don't even wnat to know the extent of his operations there.
Filth, scum, dirt

When Ramblers played Pats they made 3 changes. Ryan, Fahey, Guy, Gavin, Kirby, Dempsey, Fitzpatrick, Harris, O'Cearuil, Rogers the lot they all played.
The exact team was: St Patrick's Ath: Ryan, Brennan, O Cearuill, Rogers, Dempsey, Kirby, Fahey, Gavin, Guy, Glen Fitzpatrick, Harris..............a big contrast to tonights team i'd say!
We have insiders everywhere FIXing everything! Gough and Robson at Bray on friday, Derek O'Brien at pats tonight, Greg will get his package up at bray next week so on..... We werent stuck for cash for players, we sent them out to bring down everyone else around us !

While i know it is must be very frustrating for you Rambling along, Cobh would do the same if you were in Pats position and so would my club. It is just one of those things that can go with you or against you.

Yeah, but that was a fix too as Raffa enjoyed his time in Terryland, so he figured he'd sort something out. Cobh is a dog of a journey for ye, Dublin not much better, so it was us or Harps and seen as Harps are gone to sh*t, he figured on helping United out.
FIX FIX FIX FIX FIX FIX FIX FIX.
I too am disgusted with last night's result. If CObh can beat them 3-0, we should have whipped them

Derry qualify for Europe with a 1-0 win against the big boys club.
Derry V Bohs 2008
Played 4
Derry won 2 drew 2
goals for 5 against 1
I suppose we'll hear the usual excuse.
Now,if you'd only had a smiliar record against all the teams in the League we'd all be sitting here congratulating Derry for winning the League....

Wouldn't surprise me if I woke up in the morning to find out the whole damn enterprise was fixed.
There is always, ALWAYS, a chinese guy with a transistor radio at First Division matches
Bet365 have recently started betting in-running on irish First Division matches - probably to satisy those who have to have a bet and Friday night would be quiet for footy betting. I'd say those guys are there for that reason. Updates can be slow enough getting to latest score websites so if they didnt have a guy there telling them to suspend betting after each goal or sending off there would be the potential for fans to make a mint by being on the phone to someone with a broadband connection at home throughout the game.
On the other hand, I have a contact on MSN who occasionally tells me of fixed games in Europe and suggested that if I could arrange to fix an Irish game I would be very well rewarded! I cant be the only one!

I'd say a game between.. ooh I don't know Waterford and maybe.. let me see.. Athlone could be fixed handily enough for a 3-0 win...

But Pats still had a very slim chance of still winning the League going into the Cobh game - so they would put out a strong side.
Going into the Galway game - they are out of the League title race - but still have a massive game on the Friday in the Cup - their only chance of a trophy this season - of course they're going to rest players for that game rather than for (in their eyes) - a meaningless League game.
The Foot.ie Peasantry with the flaming torches and pitchforks out in force again I see...
The pats team that played ramblers had 5 players who'd be first choice in their natural positions.
The Galway game had 2
No big deal. PLayers are knackered.
