on the game tomorrow night you would expect the A.U.L. team to win 4 or 5 nil, from what im hearing most of the top players from the M.J.L. are now playing Senior or with an A.U.L. team.
see it being a tight game to be honest. keepers arent great and pender is in for a tough night from jamie murphy. littlemans other 3 on the squad are good players also. i think if the aul play coakley nolan comerford in the middle they will win the game. best of luck to all the lads anyway tonight.

well robot ya got that spot on. 5-2 realistically it could have been 8-0 at half time. 2nd goal was a lovely goal great move. 2nd half a complete non event. bad goals given away against a very poor side though when a clean sheet would have put the icing on the cake. surely a designated spotter taker will be appointed for the next game!! :-)

Because he's a good keeper our ball

realistically though what team changes there keeper at 4-0 up at half time in a competitive game? it just doesnt happen.

Ability has nothing to do with it, if you are 4-0 up at half time why change keepers for the sake of it?? I know he's a good keeper but a start in a game is what he'd want not a token gesture kind of thing when the game is wrapped up, wouldn't do either keeper any good.

Ya your right! Come second and you don't wanna meeting your Dublin or limerick teams and getting beat out the gate..

Big advantage in topping the group, you get home draw or a bye into the quarters.

Southsider
31/10/2013, 8:49 PM
I think the big difference is systems on how players are picked is the problem. I mean Donal goes to games to scout players for months on end and MSL committee ring up a club and say can you send down a few lads who might be interested. I mean come off it's not a game of ball amongst friends this is a fairly prestigious competition to win. Maybe the MSL know they won't win it but if this system doesn't change save us the bother and not enter at all.

Just wanted to say well done to Donal, his management and his players. I thought they were all top class Wednesday night . Donal should be commended on how he has stuck to his way of doing things and I think the result proved hes the right man for the job and it was evident that he has the full suppoort of his players in their display on the pitch . Again full marks to all concerned

Leeview 2 Coachford 2 (we won 5-3 on pens). Great game. Outstanding performance from our boys. Paul Byrne was outstanding getting 2 tonight, justifying his selection in the OT panel. Not just him but all our guys played for the club tonight. Biggest compliment I can say is a member of the AUL committee said to me after the game that he couldn't tell which team were premier. Sorry for the biased post but what a scalp for us to take, I hope Coachford would say they gave us their all.

Bohs 1 kanturk 1..
Played in very Windy conditions..
1-0 up with 15 minutes to go and we missed a sitter to go 2-0 up..
Your punished if you don't take your chance, and that's what happened with 10 to go..

Point on the board..can only build on a good battling performance
