Blarney Street will take some stopping with all those signings. Already miles ahead of everyone else, easy favourites for the league, be very hard to stop them I'd say

Bar the Munster junior and FAI Junior I suppose, is it 20-25 they've signed?? Apparently there is another few on the way aswell, that'll be some training session with 30 bodies at it.

There's a few from Leeview doing pre season with Blarney Street too I was told last night .Clear favorites for the Prem with all those players.Anything less then that must surely be deemed a failure.

who the few from leeview ?!?!? i doubt that very much dont leeview have a new manager in place so why would they just go to blarney st for pre season that total disrespect to leeview !!

Fact of the matter is tho killer the AUL standards have been slipping the last few years and any team that was going to go out and take the best players from certain clubs, were going to b red hot favourites and Blarney St are that team now, yes Killumney, Coachford, Park all have strong sides but find it harder to sign players being so far out, they have the jump on us all now and it will be hard to catch them, the players aren't there tho to be honest!!

Hahaha the amount of fellas who come on here a talk shi*e is hilarious. There's none of our players going training or signing with Blarney Street. Whoever you were talking knew 1for was with us last year and put 2+2 together and came up with 700.
Just my opinion
30/06/2013, 11:40 AM
There would be none of that leeview team get near the Blarney Street team. If Blarney St can't win the league with that squad then there is something really wrong. Yet again it just goes to show that the majority of players have no loyalty to clubs anymore. It's no wonder teams fold each year

Its not the first time theve gone away and signed good players hard work will win the league as someone said you can only play eleven the hardest part will be keeping them happy

Ya schoolboy but can't remember any team poaching as many players. I'm assuming all teams will work hard. No point playing otherwise!

Oh i know every team works hard as i said its a squad game you have to get fellas to buy into that coachford down four of their squad the manager there will have to use all of his contacts just to replace jc alone
Just my opinion

30/06/2013, 2:25 PM
So Coachford win the league and 4/5 players leave? It's no wonder no Cork AUL side is in with a chance of winning the Munster or FAI Junior Cups. No loyalty at all to clubs. And if the Blarney St manager throws his toys outta the pram again then the players will all walk again.

To be fair jc was the only consistant player last year and the rest were nor regular starters....with all the players blarney street have signed I dont think they will get a jersey on match day....jc will play and the rest bar wonks will move on

I'm surprised at the lack of loyalty in soccer when it comes to players moving clubs. I play with a country team so I suppose it's harder to find a host of clubs down here. But the lads from within our parish wouldn't dream of signing for Kinsale, innishvilla, ballinhassig etc. If it was me, and this is just my opinion, if I won prem A with Glen I'd want to stay and play premier with them the season after as a challenge to myself to see how far we could push things. As I said though, I'm not from an area where there are 6 or 7 clubs within a mile or two. There's barely a shop a mile from where I'm from.

Fair play 1for don't rise to the begrudgers, the way I see it you are putting the graft in pulling a squad together to compete after a tough season last time out and have been quite gracious in thanking some players who are moving on, this forum is getting a bit predictable now and should be renamed the wind 1for up challenge

All well and good Blarney St signing all these players, killumney will still have the better team and squad, i'd say they are licking there lips at the thought of the challenge. Is there anyone from coachford on here with any comment on potential replacements lined up? There seems to be little or no movement from any other top flight club, cant see that lad beezer going up the glen with them having no manager and players leaving at the moment?

Beezer is on the FAS course with Vinny from the Glen. He swore to me last week he was staying though.

The glen will probably need to find a manager within the club because I cant see them attracting an outside man to do the job....pa maybe from the 2nd team to step up

it will be a tough prem this year it looked like a 5 team league for most of last season .all the teams in prem this year well capable of beating each other. where all hanging on to the tails of kilumney park and coachford .kilreen i like great football team and springers under robot will test. dont worry the glen is full of good players they will be fine .a top 4 place would be nice.
