It's only my opinion. Nothing personal as I don't know the lad. Just saw him play a few times. Unfortunately in this economic downturn I can't afford sky sports. Heard theres another player leaving now for ringmahon :-) Won't mention his name til it's a done deal. Not going according to plan?! Good to see lower league players getting a run again 2 nite.i think it is personal because you knock a man like cotter after all hes done in the game sums up your opinion just my .

That keeper is jason sexton and I would no him fairly well I do t think he would take a call up been honest with his involvement with the barrs and he was out aswell for a long time with his knee so I don't think he would need it want the extra workload

Thats fair enough, an excellent goalkeeper all the same.

How fast do you have to be as cb? Cotters positional play is so good he it's scary I have played behind some I think I would know after playing with some very very good cbs and dead balls you could really be looking at a goal every 2nd game .

so when its rumours of players joining blarney st as we had all summer its ok to post but when the rumours go the other way we cannot post them is it?

Killer to clarify i agree the glen are strong as it is but my point was if they get nolan back it may turn them into contenders as they already pushed killumney close in their first league game. transfer window closes next week i think anyway so we will know the full story then.
i think there conterders anyways there a great young side so with or with nolan and who ever they are gonna do really well this season 5days left and the window is done it cant come quick enough and put all these rumours to bed,, is the window open to long ? why not open it in june and close it at the end of aug ?

1fortheTeam
25/09/2013, 12:33 PM
My take on the Street thing is: They did paint a bit of a bullseye on their backs during the summer but we are a nation of begrudgers anyway so some people are just waiting for any exciting project to fail. The club were let down by players, who loved the idea of joining the "next big thing" but when the reality set in of who they were fighting for their places with, they didnt have the courage or self belief to back themselves in a battle for a place with good players.

They lost an MJC game - its no big deal - rumours have it not all the opposition were from the same club anyway - but Im sure Street wont use that as an excuse. Its September, not May.

If the digs are personal to the manager, why not use the private message function? Im sure he is a big boy and will answer any of those who deserve one!! Some of the people throwing comments may want to look closer to home and ask themselves why many lower division players & managers turned down their overtures during the summer!

Lessons to be learned for us all!!my pm box is full kid  .the post above deleted shows what s going on here.

I'm a confident person so I think they should get 7 points from there games and get through.
Why can't the aul do this ?the players are there the facilities are there the backing is all there .i have never worked with Donal so I can't say about his skills but if he has the best players available use them !

I said it when the squad was named. There are players on the squad who really shouldnt be on it and players not on it who should. I wish the team well and hope they win it but if they dont perform this forum will be mental.

Sounds a bit like Trapatonni. If crow is starting for the street and eddie isnt it is a strange one to be fair but maybe he sees eddie as a goalkeeper coach. Results will tell in the end

I cant help but feel this is not the strongest squad at donals disposal. No representation from Pearse, Springfield, Greenwood and Inishvilla, surely theres at least one player from each of these teamsgood enough to get in the squad when the reality of it was no player from these clubs even got a trial. Poor selection process in my opinion, but there some good players here.

Ya that's from the AUL website for last Mon. Is there many of last years players, that still play in AUL, missing? Was told at lunchtime that they have a friendly on Mon so surely the squad for next week be named soon
