well i think yee all know my take on the aul set up from the last few years, and on a few points 1 .the players not in the league anymore ,some wont be a loss.2 the appointment of an aul man through and through is def the way to go ,players wont be played on reputation and i wish donal the best of luck, and the aul for rectifying their mistakes of the last few years,.its a tough job to do but he is going in there with an open mind on all players.

on the aul team just a thought you can pick all the players that has been named on this thread and about 100 more
but if players dont play with each other on a regular basis its time wasting.could nt the manager pick a squad of thirthy
play games on a weekly basis against premier/premier a teams with the aul picking up the tab for the pitch and ref.he would get to see what players he wants and also teams formations.teams could use it as training and it would help them save a few well needed euros.i think money thats been paid in to the aul via afilliation and fines could at least cover that.

Thats shocking Oldlegs, Ye were down to play B at the same time as the oppositions A team are playing, i wonder if the games were on at different times would it be off?
The AUL premier cup competition and clubs giving walkovers? i think any club with 2 teams should only be allowed enter their A team, after all has a B team ever reached the later stages of it? Alternatively play 1st round between 2nd and 3rd Div sides, bring 1st Div in at round 2 and prem sides at round 3.

Best of luck to Donal and his back room team. All involved in AUL football should now give the manager and whatever squad he decides on their full support. We can all discuss the ifs and buts down the line!

Themessage from Donal is up. Its a manager's duty in my opinion to put players forward from any division. Ask the players first if he wants. Last year - there was a brutal response - single figure responses from 90 managers!. Help the man. Help our league. Outside managers, I know Donal will read and consider a mail from any footballing man.....even if you are putting yourself forward. Anyone on here make sure you manager reads the post on the blog at least. After that you can do no more.

Downloadable forms, better presentation, all team info under one tab, all ref numbers under one tab, overall just a better looking site with all info easily accessible without having to go trawling through old irrelevant info to find what you want. sometimes the posts aren't tagged with keywords making things very hard to find. AUL site looks amateurish compared to professional looking MSL site.

Hairy or anyone - how do we get the Junior Cup results on the MSL site? Did you mean you can get a teams results under one tab?

On regards the aul team, in my opinion Darren Lynch has to be first name on the sheet, after all his goals last year and his goal for Ireland, after that its anyone really, AUL lost some very good players in the last 3/4 years to MSL so it is hard to keep up the standard of football but people must understand this is a junior league and nothing more! We cant compete with MSL or Tipperary and Limerick at their level its just not possible, tge best players in AUL get plucked by MSL the best players in MSL or Limerick or Tipp get snapped by LOI or go abroad, its a different level completly, best we can hope for is semi finals, that would be fantastic in my opinion

jeffers is a must the aul will get goals this year.can they defend is key .these 3 to start with calla..lucy..kearney..will be in the mix.if player,s go up or over to those league,s he wants to better himself who wants to stand still football is like climbing a ladder.

Its about more than talent at the top level. Im sure John would too, but an example of the extra mile(or 60) you need to go at the top. Darren and his teammate drove from Mitchelstown every week for AUL training. His teammate was missing one week, Darren could have stayed at home but he drove down by himself. Jeffers too turned up at training on occcassions when it was easier not to go.

Tough game for ye I heard. Thanks for the compliments. A bit more to do on pitch. Hopefully we will have the dressing rooms fully operational when ye visit again.

Visiting teams have been very corteous to us since the beginning. A compliment to yer clubs and a good sign of the comraderie in our league. We are all the same - just wearing a different crest.

Shandon 3 Macroom B 2

Game played in Macroom lovely pitch.

Strange game today. The ref lined us all up and told us how he was going to ref game. That jersey holding and hands on players backs were straight red cards aswell as penalties been given.

Macroom had 2 penalties, one for shirt holding where it was 50-50 both players at it.

He then sent our manager off for foul language after he had not said one 'foul' word.

He later called the manager over and told him he wouldnt be reporting him.

Very strange, but anyway.. good defensive performance from us and we took our chances, onto the next round of the Saxone now.

Was at the Greenwood game aswell and billy is right they were an absolute disgrace, there centre half fouled there forward then stamped on him the picked up the ball and threw it at another players face, then threatening as he walked off there players should be ashamed of themselves a disgrace to the AUL, there game is not playing football but just stopping other teams playing by any means necessary!!!

The management were no better to be honest, I dont think killumney player deserved a red card he was attacked by greenwood player,, it was a disgracfull scene, Greenwood should be ashamed of their behaviour,,

Isn't it interesting how people's opinions differ! I agree totally the centre half was a disgrace. The Greenwood player lost the head as above and then players/ from both side got involved in the usual pushing / shoving that happens when two guys square up. “Attached by 3 players” – yeah, as everyone stood back and watched!!! For f sake. This situation lasted 5 / mins? and a player from each side sent off. I repeat, a player from each side was sent off.
"there game is not playing football but just stopping other teams playing by any means necessary!!! Are you for real! Greenwood have always tried to play football and in doing so have come up through the leagues in the last few years. As an ex player, I go to games and always try to give an honest opinion afterwards. Kilumney won today and deservedly so. Greenwood tried to play football but weren't strong enough. The game itself wasn't the best but seemed to be played in good spirits until this incident with 20 mins left.
As for being a disgrace to the AUL, very strong words that in my opinion are way over the top and are insulting to the club. Very easy to come on here and make comments like you guys have and the only reason I am posting this is because I know a lot of guys who read this forum. Want to try and get a balance to your comments.
A Greenwood player lost his head and I know the other Greenwood players are not very happy with him. “there players should be ashamed of themselves” Players from both sides were involved in what happened next , should not the Kilumney players also be ashamed of themselves?

this is not good the way things have gone the last 2 weeks in aul its rough..i can see aul paying to have cops at games lol .

There should be cops at your games 1for theteam. Were you actually at Glen v Kilreen yesterday. If so where did you see Nolan's wonder goal from? The top of the hill. He floated it into the box behind defence, bounced and ended up in the net. Wonder goal?? Ha ha. Now to the main talking point. You forgot to mention your supporter getting sent from the line for KICKING ONE OF OUR PLAYERS UP THE ARSE WHILE HE WAS SHIELDING THE BALL DURING PLAY. What kind of maggots are ye bringing to support ye?? Kicking the ref is bad, a supporter coming onto the pitch and kicking a player is just as bad in my opinion. Twas a good game besides. Players got along with each other and players got on with managers but that is disgraceful. And see the state of him, the wind would knock him over, but with all the heavies behind him he was a brave boy!!!! Asked the ref (who bottled it throughout the whole game) what he was going to do about it and all he said was Glen Celtic managemant said he wasnt supporting ye, just a neutral. A joke!! Ye should be gettting punished for leaving scumbags on your line tarnishing your club.

Barry only got one, the penalty, which was unstobbale to be fair. The first one went in off Calvin, who celebrated the goal. The ref asked who scored it and Barry said he did. Vinny and Nolan were class for ye. Really impressed with them. Wasnt for Brendan in goal we'd of came away with three points and one of our players with a pain in the backside, literally.

surely match should have been abandoned and maybe that would sort these clowns out.what sort of league is it when this sort of thing goes unpunished. kilreen are no angels after the previous week but in fairness their incident was dealt with firstly by game being abandoned and secondly im assuming player getting big ban. a club surely has a responsibility firstly to ensure its players behave in a responsible manner but secondly to ensure the people attached to its club do the same.the sad thing is this 'club' is making its way towards the top of the league. its not like its a one off incident as going back i think this particular club has always had a reputation. im not sure why the good peopl involved in the club as obviously there are some dont wnat to rid the club of this bad name but what you will now get is people like zico coming on here and finding a way to defend the incident.i dont think zico defends line he just talks football.others bring up the line .

"This is the first squad anouncement as you can imagine as we havent had time to get to all games. "But as we have said on this site before, we want to hear from all managers who think they might have a player or players worth a look at.
"We will be getting to more games over the coming weeks but as you can imagine we have to pick a squad from a very large pool of talent but I can assure the clubs we will be picking the best possible team from the players we will finally have chosen.
"The response we have got from the clubs has been fantastic and we would appreciate their continued support," said Donal.

He's not from togher and you know it. I'm not going to have a 1 on 1 argument on this with you. I just want the rest of cork soccer to know what happened and what your supporters are all about. That's the last i'm going to say on it, to you anyway. Sort out your grammar too will you. Have to read your post about six times before i understand what your trying to say.
