Some cracking games on today especially in the Mossy Linnane quarter finals. Looking forward to seeing the Blarney Street v Coachford game. Both teams had poor results last week in games they would have expected to win so should be well up for today. On paper Coachford are stronger with the new players they brought in. Blarney Street have been struggling lately but with some of the players they have you would expect this to change. It could be thriller but if I had to pick one I'd go with Coachford. Elsewhere you'd have to fancy Park to beat Kanturk as they should be too strong and ill go for Pearse to beat Knockavilla simply cause they have home advantage. Kilumney should have too much for Carrigtwohill but Carrig is a tough place to go and get a result and they will be well up for this. Purely cause there is always a shock in the cup I'm gonna say Carrig in this one.
The AUL manager will be biting his nails hoping for no injurys this weekend ahead of Wends nights game and let's hope there is none. I hope after club games this weekend everyone will come together and get out the cross Wendsday night and support there league. Lets put opinions aside and row in together. Kanturk 2 Park 2 (aet) Kanturk won 4-2 on penos

Park scores in 90min to make it 1-1,and scored again in 4rd min of extra time..we made it 2-2 straight away after!
Penalties are a lottery but on the day we defiantly deserved it,sick to concede 90min!
Showed great spirit to get Back in to it!
Park played a lot of long ball,but can't blame a team playing to theirs strengths..
Lynch got the 2 for park.
Onwards and upwards nw..

Very interesting day today. I thought kanturk might beat park. Despite what people say, park aren't playing well. Only have league left now. Blarney won on Pens. Great result. Thought they would win as well especially with glen lads out even if it was on pens. Pearse won well in the end. See what tricksey has to say along with old legs. Killumney won 4-0. Cant believe someone tipped Carrig. Considering they won 6-2 down there last time. Anyone know the semi line up? Is it A v C and B v D?

Yep lost 3 1 to Pearse today . Pearse started game well good team on the ball retain ball very well and have some nice pace in their team . We went up 1 nil a great strike by our centre mid top drawer . Things where looking well for us we where doing well and had a great chance when our winger made great run beat 2 men and was 1 on 1 with keeper but was unlucky to see his shot go about 2 inchs wrong side of post then with I'd say 2 mins later Pearse got a goal to make it 1 all it came from a corner our keeper came out had to come through a few players he got his fist to ball but whatever way he connected ended up in our net. Halftime 1 all. In second half both teams played some good football all be it Pearse played a slightly more attractive brand then us . Pearse went up 2 1 after 20 mins of 2 half a free kick that many will argue wasn't a free kick . Up stepped Pearse centre half and hit a peach of a free kick off post and in . Pearse then got a penalty around 10 15 minutes from end to make it 3 1 . Both sides could have scored a few in last 15 min's with Pearse having a few chances and we hit foot of post and had a few chances but Pearse ran out 3 1 winners best of luck to them in the remainder of Mossie and looking forward to playing ye in league . That's how I'd sum match up but every one has their own views I'll see what Tricksey has to say

Was at the Blarney Street-Coachford game. Hard to say was it 2 bad teams or did they cancel each other out but there was very little ball played in it. Was very disappointed with Coachford very average,created nothing and only looked dangerous from dead balls or long throws. Blarney Street offered little in front of goal as well but defended very well I thought. Hard to split them on the day and pens was probably the only way to get a winner. As already said pens are a lottery and the Street were cooler under pressure. Just a note on the ref too I thought Thomas Long was very good and consistent and done a good job.
Donnie I tipped Carrig purely for an upset not surprised Kilumney won at all and fair play to Kanturk on a big win too. Maybe Park are slipping a bit who knows. Anyway well done to all the winners and best of luck in the semis

I thought ye started the game the better oldlegs we couldnt settle at all I thought and ye deserved to go ahead in fairness what a goal too,changing point was when yer midfielder missed dat 1 on 1 could have gone 2 nil infront but didnt and we went up and scored to level it.Second half we started better than the first and wether it was a free or not that was some finish he did the same against Coachford last week with the winner not bad for a centre half :) No arguement about the peno or the red card in my opinion that was a shocking challenge by the no.10 to be fair.Good game though and look forward to playing ye again this season, said it from the start too Kilumney the team to be this season and still feel the same seem to be gelling at the moment.

Was at the glen Celtic vs kanturk game and from my observations if ye had stopped getting on the referee's case about everything he probably would have gave ye more, if you are looking for your downfall in that game would have been your keeper he had a nightmare. Very unfair to suggest kanturk getting beneficial treatment from a certain ref.anyway enough about that any ideas the match ups for the mossie semi finals?well bimbo i could not blame any player that night they all gave what they could like i posted the better team won ,and any short falls we had came from 3 bad calls by him and down our left in the 1st half.kanturk well up for it and won. it was the right result.for the mossi kilumney has to be the team .what i like is the way off the pitch there like brother,s and texting and supporting each other .that team plays for the shirt and the guy in charge.not to mention they play football they can back up the hype.

Totally agree there 1fortheteam in regards to Killumney being like brothers texting and supporting each other makes a big difference to the team I feel,thats why I think things are goin so well for us this season (so far anyway) at Pearse great buzz around the dressing room,in training and on the pitch,great banter out after the matches too, obviously winning helps would like to see us when we lose 1 r 2 in a row how we react but in fairness Park bate us few weeks back and we didnt let it effect us won every game since and long may it continue.Big derby this sat against Greenwood in the league wont be easy as it never is but wel try make it 6 points from 6.

I'm going to go for a Pearse Kilumney final . I've seen Kanturk and seen and played against Kilumney and I think kilumney will just be that bit stronger . Also seen and played against Pearse and believe they should have enough to get over Blarney Street . I wouldn't think so being honest. That will stay domestic I would imagine. The 3 other teams in the group are the Defense Forces, the MSL + Kerry and it would depend on weather in regards all games being played before Christmas but I would doubt it.

Schoolboy to be honest I missed the game couldn't get off work but went out with the team sat night everyone said we deserved it I think everyone knows how to beat coachford at this stage..pearce in next round should be tough game but we are more than capable off beating them.lads if a member off aul squad was sent off at weekendgne is he banned weds night..do they seems like a few weeks ago people were saying you get nothing easy at the glebe.

He is a fine player alright 1for but has to learn to calm down when things go against him. I was there and in fairness he was very hard done by a brutal offside call but he couldnt let it go and was still giving out 10mins later. I thought the ref finally lost patience and was left with no choice but to walk him. The line should have whipped him off sooner! Everyone could see it coming.

was at the blarney st coachford game saturday i thought the two teams cancelled each other out not a whole lot of chances for either side so give credit to defences for that.ref on the day was outstanding for a game that had potenital to be physical threw little cards around.brave decision on blarney st behalf bringing on the sub keeper to take a penalty and then to score the winning one as well.i see questions been asked about a player been sent off and will he be suspended for aul those the opposite apply as well i dont think clubs would be happy with that.best of luck to the lads wed night and wellcome back zico

Blarney st beat em on penalties what's the big deal?? A win is a win get over it like.. Coachford were atrocious on the day aswell and don't mind this John Corcoran wasn't playing, all the talk about the squad mick welsh was putting together they should have coped, the fact is if John don't score coachford don't win, ye should be more worried about that, did pearse need penalties to beat ye??? No I don't think so...
