gagga is a fine player and one of the best around, o connor spent 4 years in peterborough and saw first team action while the likes of o keefe were still ****ing in their pants. but poacher would prefer to see him out of his club - fudgepacker

Revolver it is obivious u havent a clue what ur on about balla ar now playing teams that have nothing to play for and getting walk overs . jason was a good player but not half as good as jimmy sheehan ,gagga,robbie kel,alan o kef,paddy koyce il just leave it at that. ;)

You have to remember he is playing with an average side that boasts a couple of good players and has still scored 20 or so goals.With a better boro
team like the one last year then he would score 30 or more.

As for the comment on Balla...
Abbey,Mungret,Hill Celtic,Summerville all had something to play for so "obviously" your wrong on that point.All those teams are fighting for relegation but you probably wouldn't be aware of that.

Gagga hass been the best junior footballer for the last 15 years.Played great stuff for Limerick when their also.

The year he played in the League of Ireland he was absolutely brillant.He and Jason Purcell were the best players in the First Division but his discipline was awfull,having said that he was being kicked all over the place but he was great and tough as nails.No wonder Peterborough wanted him.

Came back from a cruciate ligament injury while 3yrs out i think and scored
nearly 30 goals last yer up to Feb and has scored 20 or so this year in Junior
soccer.

No one is begrudging him from being a fine player except Marketsfield so don't take it to heart.
It seems that this has annoyed you but maybe your a former team-mate of his present club???

won't be very exciting for pike if they loose the league, after playing all season against those teams when they had something to play for, but its true that its being going on for years, fairview won many a league that way, something will have to be done what I don't know, can't see balla beating pike anyway, lost to them handily three times this year.... we need some new faces for next year and not just off the field, same players have being playing year in year out with us, hard to attract players tho when we own nothing, hopefully the three man team next year will work out and we can start improving again

Agree Widow,could do with a few new faces to freshen things up.Carew have benefited this year because new players brought in so hopefully
the same can be done for the blues.

Winning the league again is a good stepping stone for next year.

Not even going to get involved in a slagging match because this site is for mature opinions not childish comments that were passed above.

Every club has their problems including the blues but i can tell you there is no better group/club for the crack.
It is all about building team spirit,obviously you get one or two idiots that ruin it all for everyone but that is life.

Can you honestly say that your club doesn't have any jackeens when they have had too much Arthur Guinness or any club for that matter????

Revolver im playing with a club that has schoolboys in my opinion he WAS a good player matter closed backodonet if i was picking a team i wont pick a right footed player 2 play left full not at this level. 2 the boro lads yer biggist loss is martin mul who has givin his life and time more so than any body .

the only club to have really benefitted from scoolboy teams is fairview.they won fai junior cups with alot of players that came through with them.most other clubs have mainly failed to hold onto there best schoolboys,an example of this will be seen in the next 2 years with wembley they wiil probably lose the neucleus of the fai winning minor team especially if they dont make premier.

take off the blinkers ,they did throw the match no question but its not ballas fault but if balla were to win the league[but they wont]would that not be an injustice to pike and how ironic for that injustice to involve carew.

i think playing in bateman had a lot to do with it, not many would relish playing there most weeks. Balla have very good players and very good support - you need to get a ground of your own and a club house. Easier said than done but i think balla have accomplished alot with the resources they have. Pike could bottle it?


pike wont bottle it ,as for bateman the only reason teams dont like goimg out there is the sideline.ballas discipline has left them down on so many occassions and mainly that has come from the sideline .apparently its ok to call referees this and that and then they think their hard done by.there footballing ability was never in doubt .

i agree,by the way ye boro lads is there any truth in the rumour ye are not at all happy with carews decision to play the senior cup game in hogan park.personally i think it is again a total lack of respect by carew towards another limerick club.it can be for nothing only financial gain on there own part.this game could have been a thank you to the boro for helping them in there hour of need but again carew show a complete lack of respect to another club who help them.astalavista can you shed some light on this as u

Doesn't say much for the rest of the league when you say he "was" a good player.Injured for 3 years yet comes back and scores 20 odd goals in his first year back(up to Feb) and has 20 odd again this year(Matter closed now).

Dont know much about Martin Mul but i think there is a lot of other die hards
within that club,Tommy Brown,Tony Murphy and many more.
I know a lot of the players down there,ones who could have left and joined other clubs when asked to do but instead stayed loyal to the cause because they were real "club" men.

Our club has the same influence also with the usual diehards pulling the club through and i suppose all clubs do.
