Have you seen the company you are keeping on that link. The photo after you is of a cow , while the previous one looks like he's the lead singer of some group called 'Nerdsworld.' He's definitely not the cooooooooolest guy I've ever seen. Are there any photos of the li'l Buddha's excursion to New Zealand?
The cow's a dragon, ye fool! I posed in it for charity at Davros's suggestion. Spent the afternoon at a FA Trophy game bursting for a slash/ed while being molested by small girls :) He's Georgie, the Worcester City mascot.
To be fair to the hairless Herefordshirer, he entertained fellow customers with a drunken yet note-perfect rendition of 'Auld Orange Flute' in a local curryhouse afterwards.
The shaggy-haired chap is only leading Dublin broadcast journalist Ken Early. Ye can keep up with his cutting edge football analysis (ie rambling about Liverpool and how Richard Dunne's World class) on Newstalk 106. Most evenings about 9pm.

After my 'performance' on the MV Melodika while crossing the Baltic on holiday last term, I'm in line for Estonia's gig in this year's contest. Only three people threw themselves overboard...

Does someone know what will be the ticket price for Irish fans?
Tickets for Israeli fans will be started to be sold tomorrow and the price is 120 or 80 NIS (about 20 or 13 EURO), depands on a gate where you sit.

Not before the end of Shabbat. I guess that the kick-off will be at 8:00pm local time (6:00pm Dublin time).

Try Turkish Airlines, they have many destinations in Europe and three or four flights every day from Istanbul to Tel-Aviv.

Eldad,
Do you know if it is possible to buy Israel v France tickets over the web or phone? I've got to come home the morning after our game but some of my mates are staying on for this one.
You can register for tickets for this game on the FAI web site. Kick off 5pm local time.
By the way the application form is a joke, you're meant to e-mail it or post it, but its nor even a separate document, its just text on a web page. Clowns.

I think you can buy ticket for Israel vs France by an international credit card, but for the gates where Israeli fans are sitting only.
Call to "Le'an" ticket office (in Tel-Aviv) and ask them: Tel ++972-3-5247373.
You souldn't be hurry, they just today started to sell it...
BTW, prices are the same like against Ireland. It is highly recommended to buy for one of gates 1,2,3,4 (120 NIS, but better view and more polite fans).

So why do the Israeli fans sit in gates 1,3,4 in the western stand?
Who will sit in gate 2 ?
If everything will be organized properly I will get the tickets on Sunday!
I need to buy them directly from IFA...

For details about charter flights from Dublin to Tel Aviv contact "Arkia" airlines.
I know they offer only 329 US$ for Tel Aviv-Dublin-Tel Aviv for these dates so they operate charter flights in route DUB-TLV-DUB for sure!

Good price to get to Dublin. But are Arkia airlines waiting on the demand from Irish fans before priceing the DUB-TLV-DUB route?
Still its another option to get to Israel.

I'm sure they have already priced the DUB-TLV-DUB route...
I guess they sell the flights tru travel agencies with deals including accomodation, transfers & ticket to the game, but I'm sure they have not any problem to sell flights-only tickets in route DUB-TLV-DUB.

Can anyone recommend a decent hotel with reasonable room rates?
Here is a site with all of the hotel's in Tel Aviv : http://www.telavivhotels.org.il/eng/telaviv.php
I don't really know to recommend exactly what is the best hotel for the price that you will pay because i didn't really go to any of them. ( because i live 20 KM from Tel Aviv - in Raanana , Most of the Israelies that live 'in the center' of Israel go to a vacation's in Eilat or up north )
I must say that i DONT know how much money each one of them costs, im saying who costs the most and other categories only by what i think and the reputation the hotels has .
Costs the most:
1.David Inter-Continental = The best hotel in Tel Aviv IMO .
Location ( close to the beach ) = great-
2. Dan Tel-Aviv
Location = great -
Sheraton Moriah,Crowne Plaza,Dan Panorama,Renaissance are not as good as the first two IMO but still GREAT hotels.
Location = GREAT ,most of the hotels i mentioned here are ON the beach.
For the peopel that just want to sleep "ok" i think : Melody and Howard Johnson - Shalom will be good for them.

Just to confirm that the Standupforboysingreen.com trip is definitely going ahead as they have had sufficient uptake to fly.We were in contact with them Monday to confirm just before we pay the second installment.
Anyone know if airport tax is normally included in a travel agents initial quoted price?I was expecting to have to pay €700 as originally stated but now its €760 becouse of airport fees.Is this common practise or should I be p!ssed?

I know this way off topic but thought I would mention it
Brian Kerr was on Radio Foyle this evening and was urging people to get to the Israel game if they can. He was talking about how the growth in support from the disappointing numbers that went to Albania and Georgia, and how the army had gone to Paris had really lifted the players.
Kerr spoke about the difficulties of getting there but reminded people how it was a beautiful country and how the players would really appreciate the support

Eldad, I may have missed this earlier on, but can you confirm the Kick-Off time. The FAI are quoting 1700 local time. Is this correct? I thought I saw somewhere previously that the kick-off would not be until at least 1900 local time?
As far as i know the standupfor.... tour will be staying in the basel hotel in tel Aviv for those that may be interested
