He has and always will be one of the best players in the league, He has played with saints and villa and would be a huge plus to any team he played in.

ya he is a great player to watch. There is a handfull of players at villa who are probably the best "footballers" in the league. they dont have 11 though.

big game this weekend saints v peake, foggy will be huge loss for villa, extra time and penalties perhaps?

goldengirls
17/12/2009, 9:59 PM
is he suspended? a huge loss alright, bit of an attack v defence match that 1 but il say 1 nil to saints, maybe after extra time, villa didnt have the legs for the extra 20 here in the complex

ronburgundy
17/12/2009, 10:14 PM
he seems to have been suspended at a very convenient time for saints. will be a close one but i think saints will win it by the odd goal. good to see peake have liam mackey back for that one too

i fancy villa, should have beaten saints already, saints will be strong at the back as always but the goal threat will come from villa,ha ha ron i think your being a bit mischievous at the end there

mischievous:confused:. i think saints will be strong enough to withstand it, they are training well at the moment. i expect kennedy to nick one at the other end, and that might be enough

Mega Tots
17/12/2009, 11:00 PM
kennedy wont get a kick off leahy....i bet i will be copy and pasting this to you monday morning

I agree the timing of foggy's suspension is very suspect. Ron who is Liam Mackey has he played with villa for long.

what do ye mean convenient? if he has the bookings he has the bookings........

Mega Tots
18/12/2009, 6:18 PM
he has had the bookings for quite a while and was free to play away, must be just very unlucky that the league noticed in time for the saints game:)

ponyobrien

Same goes for Johnny Cagney. He has 5 bookings for a while now, with no sign of a suspension. It will probably kick in for the Michaels game

West Hammer

Not every booking will result in the same amount of points against a player, it all depends on what the offense was or what the ref put him down for, it can range from 3 to 2 points, you could be booked for 4 serious offenses and be suspended or have 5 minor booking for say not retreating from a free quick or handball outside the box and not get a suspension. Save the conspiracy theory,s for 9/11.

Since the start of this season 4 bookings constitutes an automatic suspension

we were informed at the start of the season that the points system was gone this season and a suspension resulted from 4 bookings regardless of the offence. there's no smoke without fire.

I wouldn't be so sure. They are level on points with the bridge and only 2 behind Cahir

No one from Cashel down is safe imo. 15/16 points should be enough to stay up this year.

i think we will be safe enough.borris, old bridge and cahir are in trouble if you ask me.there were rumours recently that cashel could be gettin a new manager.someone from cahir.i havent heard anything from the lads around the town, but i was talkin to one individual and he said that there was someone interested.and it was someone from outside the club.i think that would be excellent for the club.at least he wont have his favourites and doesnt know many people.step in the right direction.

Well cashelman I think the man your on about is Kenny Condon , he used to manage cahir park up to 2 ,years ago, he would be a good man for the job hes a soccer man and very commited.Thats who i herd was asked to do the job.

massive game for both sides, celtic need a result be it a win or a draw to be real title contenders and town need all 3 points, with an fai game next week im sure town will be desperate to have the pitch playable

goldengirls
02/01/2010, 8:07 PM
dont worry wel have the pitch playable and wel have a warm welcome for all those celtic heads that are getting carried away with their league position. Time to be brought back down to reality, theres only 1 team in clonmel

desperate to have pitch playable for match tomorow or fai game sunday week, if game goes ahead tomoro i fancy town to nick it and gain revenge for defeat earlier in season to celtic, a team with aaron moroney, tony scully, barry ryan and ian barnes has serious experience with alot of goals init.

dont think anyone from clonmel celtic is gettin carried away just happy to be where we are, just a progressive club and things are goin well at the moment regardless of the result tommorrow. ya see there are clonmel celtic, old bridge, wilderness, redmondstown and other teams from in and around clonmel. and each is as valid as the next.

i think all games were off. Hoping rustyness won t effect any of our teams next week in fai but i presume all leagues around the country are in same boat with games off so its up to clubs to get lads back up to speed at training this week. Our four prem teams left in fai have great chance of going far this year.

West Hammer

The weather is to stay the same into next weekend, pitches will be so deeply frozen it will take a while for them to thaw. F.A.I games could be under threat!

Anybody here Muiris Walsh tipping Celtic to win the league last night? I was surprised that as PRO of Town he would say that. In saying that, Celtic are in a great position

With Town out of the running, he was hardly going to back Saints now was he?

To be fair to Muris, waht he said was-if Celtic don't lose to Town away and beat Michaels at home, he would then fancy them to go all the way and win it.

ronburgundy
05/01/2010, 12:40 PM
not a bad prediction. especially if the news on paul kennedy is true. is he out for the rest of the season? if so its hard to see saints scoring enough to win the league

Mega Tots
08/01/2010, 11:53 AM
great result for clonmel town and clonmel celtic with the blanket cancellation of all fai ties, both sides will now keep home advantage, not such a good outcome for balingarry and peake villa

Tipp Top
13/01/2010, 11:37 AM
big weekend in the tsdl, town and celtic outcome will give the title race an interesting look and villa saints all be it a cup tie will show us where both sides are at,im hearing conflicting reports from saints, some say they are training like mad while others say things are not going well, sunday will ultimately give us the answer to that
