One more round of the internal FAI games to go, and all the big hitters in the TSDL are still standing. There should be some juicy games in the last qualifying round. Does anyone know when the draw is to be made ?

TSDL teams left are

Cahir Park
Peake Villa
Cashel Town
Moyglass
Clonmel Town
Clonmel Celtic
Balligarry Albion
St Michael's (their match was called off after almost 70 mins due to the weather, but they were 4-0 up)

Nenagh Celtic and Thurles Celtic also won their games, so can anyone fill us in on the final two teams (matches) to make up the last twelve.

I'd imagine a lot of the Premier teams would fancy pulling Moyglass or Ballingarry out of the hat.

Borroway Rovers 2nd division in NTDL are through and Thurles town are playing valley rovers next sunday which i think will complete it

So much for any of the Premier teams getting a plum draw at the minnows in Moyglass or Ballingarry!!!

Peake Villa at home will be tough, but we've beaten them at home already this season. It's probably the tie of the round.

ya that will be a good one. 2 different teams to the ones who played at the start of the season. Are the winners of these games out of the area then??

ya id agree with those six predictions. With town celtic peake and saints all having realistic chance of making more progress in the competition

Id like to add Nenagh Celtic to that short list aswell. With a few home draw you could have a great run in it.

don t know much bout nenagh but rest of north tipp teams results have been terrible. As you say maybe home draws might get ye through another round or 2

Fair enough but the two Nenagh teams are the only ones trying to play football up here in what is a poor league.Celtic vs Town are the only games worth watching up here, sad but true.

Is it true Paul Breen has packed it in with Saint Michaels?? Probly a bit exaggerated but heard a few people saying it! Can anyone from Saints shed light on this please? It's probly untrue..but i know that he missed their game at the weekend purposely in order to play G.A.A. which more than likely annoyed players and management at Saints and has led to Paul's departure...or a t least rumours anyway! Anyone know any more on this? It would be awful for Paul Breen to pack it in as he is Saints best player in my opinion.

If you listened to Chawkie on Tipp FM last night you wouldn't think he is going anywhere.

I heard Chawlkie as well and he spoke highly of Paul. Can't believe he would leave but you never know. That was a good interview last night. Must been very hard for Muirish Walsh as PRO of Clonmel Town to have to heap praise on Chawlkie- Id say Chawlkie was loving it:)

I'd say there would be a fair amount of mutual respect between Muiris and James Walsh. Not such a difficult interview I'd say.

I heard the interview and it was very good-in fact the whole programme was good- Muiris is very good on that show- he is a great voice for local soccer. james walsh has been a great player and I am sure Muiris would have huge respect and admiration for him

yes the interview was good and as has been said previously, Muiris is excellent on that show. His knowledge of all sports is great. He is very neutral when it comes to local soccer. That said It must have been very, very difficult for him

He seems to be getting a bigger and bigger role on that show. I assume the guy who presents the show is happy for him to have greater involvement?????

I wonder what the Peake Villa players make of the lack of respect you just showed them with that remark?

Yeah that would be great. However can't see it happening-TIPP FM is a GAA station. Still, Muiris does his best and I heard him the night he presented the show and he was superb. Maybe the TSDL should get him as league PRO

Maybe the TSDL should offer to sponsor a football show on Tipp FM. Its all about money to them. Wouldn't cost that much.

To be fair, I have been a big critic of Muiris in the past but I have revised my view of him. he is a very fair minded man- he is passionate about sport and there is little doubt that he would be an excellent choice for a football show. There are a lot of people interested in the TSDL and indeed the North tipp league. maybe we should start a campaign!!
I know from speaking to people in other clubs that he is highly regarded

it would be excellent for the league and local soccer if Muiris had his own show, he has already proved it would not be a conflict of interest by the way he openly discusses soccer in the tsdl without favouring clonmel town

Personally I think he would be balanced and fair. he is very good on the radio-if you heard his interview last night with James Walsh, you would have no idea that he was PRO of Clonmel Town- I don't think he would need anybody with him

As someone who knows both Muiris and James very well, both of them are very intelligent, very articulate people, who of course care deeply about their own clubs, but also show an ability not to allow bias get in the way of honest analysis.

I don't listen to the show, for work reasons, but I have no doubt whatsoever that it is quality listening

id agree with you rock wudn't no any of those guys personally but im a keen follower of football in tipp and any time there names have come up in football related conversations people have always spoke really highly of them by all accounts 2 good guys of tipp football. To look at chalkie's record of continually representing our league when others didnt bother turning up!!! or were injured:)sums up the guy for me we need more muris's and chalkie's in our league and not knockers which we seem 2 hav plenty of :D

ok point taken but corrupt is mild in terms of some of the abuse that goes on,all the other clubs have the exact same opinion of the behaviour of tommy lewis and james walsh so for once instead of all bickering with each other lets at least let them both know that we are sick and tired of it and if james thinks this is out of line then at least have the inteligence to not bragg about it,tommy lewis stuck his head around dressing room door last season and told paul breen not to worry about a suspension for an upcoming game....it would be looked after, all the players had a laugh, but the rest of us dont find it as funny

this has been goin on for years, but i remember a player in my club at the time ,a few years back, getting 5 years for kicking someone on the ground , yet the very same day paul scully did the same thing to a saints player, only got a token suspension which was held up so he could play for the irish juniors in isle of man !!!!

in terms of referees and getting away with murder town are definitely just as bad,it should not be allowed and surely the other clubs can come up with some sort of idea to get a fair crack from the league, surely for a start chalky needs to have no power over fixtures,do you know he rings tommy lewis at the start of each season and goes through his diary to arrange free weekends for when he is unavailable and this is a direct quote from the man himself
