i see on the nationalist this week theres talks of a new club forming in tipp town, would be good for the league i suppose . there is definatly enough players in tipperary to get another team going
bishbash

the unusual thing is that the majority of st michaels players are not actually from tipp town. if you look at teams from clonmel the players are mostly from clonmel town itself. if there were only one club in clonmel, as there is in tipperary, then it would be an extremely strong side.

It would be good for the league in general if a second team emerged from Tipp town. The more teams the better! Clonmel has 5 teams and Cahir have 2 teams so why not Tipperary town. As bishbash said the majority of St Michaels players are not from Tipp town so im sure there are plenty of decent players there looking for a chance like this.

The hardest part might be getting somewhere to play. If I remember Saints went to the council looking for help when they needed a second pitch some years ago and got nowhere. I see the new club have also asked the council to help them. Hope they have a plan B.

Just read the write up on the paper and i hope the council can accomodate them. They seem to have a committee in place and fundraisers and sponsers in the pipeline so they seem determined to make this happen so the best of luck to them.

definatly no need to feel sorry for celtic, they went out to a good michaels side so no shame there. speaking of saints credit where its due to the club looks like there youths are gonna win youth league, there juniors the premier league and there b team look like winning division 1 league not to mention other cup competitions there still in, so definatly a big improvement from saints compared to last few years
How do they look like winning the league? 3 teams all with realistic chances still and will go down to the wire. The B team are 4 points behind the leaders and will drop to 3 rd if Wilderness win their game in hand

He was sent off in the FAI Junior cup. Yesterdays game was in the Munster Junior cup. If you get knocked out of one then the suspension is served in local competitions. You can draw all the attention you like to it, he was eligible to play.

i suppose he was allowed play the same way the two clonmel town guys who were sent off recently were allowed play the following week , suspension in one competiton doesn,t carry into another ?????

I must admit it I think it is pretty low to be suggesting to Janesboro that they should pursue whether Craig Condon was eligible to play. Are you suggesting that you would prefer to play Janesboro than Celtic in the quarter final? I have it on good advice that Celtic thoroughly checked his eligibility and the club doesn't make silly mistakes like playing ineligible players

For what i heard Craig Condon was 100% eligible to play last Sunday. To be fair im sure Celtic would have done there homework on this before playing him. I think this matter should be closed now and lets looks forward to the mouth watering clash betwwen Town and Celtic.

Its easy for you to come on here and slag off Saints when they lose but I heard nothing from you last week when we beat Clonmel Celtic 3 nil. Its complete bitterness that brings you on here! Did Blackcastle receive a trophy last week for their victory? End of season is when trophies are handed out by the way who are you a supporter of that's well hidden for a reason I bet.

Just checking my statistics and perhaps somebody can clarify for me. Am I correct in saying Clonmel Town have reached the 7th round of the FAI Junior Cup without conceding a goal (penalty shootouts excluded)?

I don't think Clonmel Town are afraid to play anyone. There is no doubt this game is going to be a cracker and could go either way. However Clonmel Town have been playing these type of pressure games for a longtime. Also it was a legitimate question to ask about Craig Condon, like a lot of people in Clonmel Celtic ye are very touchy!!

No problem with anyone asking the question but why not ask it here instead of going on the Limerick Premier board and suggesting to Janesboro that they should pursue the matter of his eligibility, underhand and sneaky is what I would call it. Anyway I thought all Tipperary clubs got behind one another when it came to the Munster and FAI Junior Cups??????????????????????????????

in fairness pearoso both of ye were having banter a week ago and now your having a right moan,it was one seriously bad result and Carrick United is the last match you would pick to follow it up with and with Paul Breen likely to be out injured it becomes even more difficult, however it could be a blessing in disguise as surely the league is the most realistic chance for Saints and the focus could be firmly back on that Sunday evening
Killarney 2 Clonmel Town 0 at half time.2 attacks for Killarney 2 goals
great result for the league with both saints and town through to last 8 in fai. i would also like to congratulate towns youths on yet another great scalp vs cobh ramblers on saturday

That wasn't a moan that was a rant and i still haven't heard from Megatots he must of fell into the abyss of Junior Football.
Its good to see that your well informed on the Saints players correct me if im mistaken but Paul Breen scored the winner on Sunday?
The game last Sunday wasn't exactly full of flowing football from both side's, but the result is all that concerns me a very tough draw in the next round but there are no easy teams left in it at this stage. (CLASSIC CLICHÉ)
Seriously bad result followed up with a seriously good one no consistency, worst Saints team in 30 years of TSDL football.

look at my post pearoso....breen "likely" to miss out, never said he was definitely out,and it was a fantastic result that not many other teams could produce but its erratic form to say the least, blackcastle were beaten in the munster by a 2nd division waterford side which surprised nobody, like you said yourself its about trophies at the end of the season and i cant see saints winning any, villa for the league, pike for the fai,town/carrick for the munster and town for the tipp cup

What a horrible draw for the winners of Willow Park/Clonmel Town in the first round of the F.A.I. Senior Cup. They are drawn away to Bonagee Utd (Letterkenny), tie to be played on March 21st. The winners of St.Michaels/Pike Rovers have a bye in first round - away to Bluebell Utd (Dublin) in round 2, tie to be played on May 15th.

The statement that "Paul Breen is likely to miss out" was posted by Hooper74 not you "Megatots" or have i just discovered what everyone suspects is that people on this Forum are using different user names. Ive a question for you Megatots or Hooper74 what ever your going by this week which one of you is Heckel and which one is Jeckel! You should just call yourself "TwoFace" from the Batman movies!

Are Clonmel Town travelling to Athlone this Saturday night again? all these away draws definitely do not help, i think Saints got a better draw, granted Pike are one of the favourites but at least its at home and Saints on the day can beat anyone as we all saw last week

Town aren't as good as they were last season. they have done very well to get this far but I think Willow will be a bridge to far. Killarney weren't the greatest side and it took us till extra time to win. I would love to be wrong but I think Sunday will be the end of the road for Town- we are a last 8 team at best

also if the Limerick talk is to be believed Pike will be missing 3 or 4,if that is the case then 13/8 about Saints at home is some price but with the nature of the competition and particularly at this stage backing draws could be a serious money maker

i reckon by reading the FAI thread that Pike will have everyone available on Sunday, they cant seem to make their minds up who is actually injured,a Saints-Town semi final would be something else, would that be played in Tipperary, surely?

Semi Finals have to be played at a neutral venue but it would still be kept in Tipperary,it would be in Cahir the same as the Munster Final between both sides a few years back, im pretty sure the final would also be in Cahir if it was an all Tipperary affair, now that would be something
