Any info on Erris Utd from Mayo? Are they a good side? They can't be bad if they are the only Mayo team left in the Cup (and they put out Pike Rovers!!!). No bad sides in the last 16 anyway :ball:
Erris not great this year. They were nearly relegated last September. They are out of season and did not have any games as Mayo does not start their league until April or May this year.

cant believe lisselton in last 16, highly overrated team of so called superstars...

Your opinion is way off IMO...
The so called "superstars" of james sugrue, steven o mahony, chris kerins and a few more left lisselton at the start of the season.
They have re-grouped a fine group of young players with alot of potential and TBH from what ive seen they play very good football. They play for each other and the team, rather than before as themselves as superstars and maybe thats why they have gone this far!
Best of luck to them.

I agree, home advantage IS a huge advantage in the FAI, especially in the latter rounds, Boro to win in extra time or on peno's for me.

you obviously know nothing about the current lisselton team to make un-informed comment like that, you should do your research before you voice your opinion, otherwise you make yourself look stupid. Lisselton got rid of all there so called superstars because they thought they were bigger than the club, and thought they could run the club. This season team are all very level headed and dont have a high opinion of ourselves, and we will let our football do the talking!

Havent seen Carrick play this season but i believe Peters will be hard to beat on their home patch. But at this stage of the competition there wont be a lot between any team, its all about who wants to win it most.
Have Carrick the hunger?because you can be sure st. peters will.

Carrick can have no complaints they had enough chances to win easily but the spirit in the St Peters camp is tremendous and their battling qualities second to none,

city at 50/1 looks tempting. might put a bit on them e/w.
we have them in connaught cup quarter final in two weeks time so hopefully after that they will only have one external competition to worry about.
very hard to predict who will win it this year, its certainly wide open. its a season of shocks.

It's a big result for Erris. Massive.
They are amazing though when against it. Remember the Mayo league decider with Castlebar Celtic a few years ago and when the youths won the FAI youth cup? The foundations were laid then.
Also: Well done to St Peters on beating Carrick. Thats TWO former winners they have knocked out now!

you must have been watching a different game? Peters won the first half and carrick won the second, they had feck all chances, peters were brilliant and deserve the win. they are going to be hard to beat from here on considering they had no chance in the last two matches.. Willow won again yesterday! Junior cup Peters, Leinster willow whats the odds???

congrats to peters :
they battled and defended well, carrick were lacking that finishing touch in front of goal, they can be proud of the standards they have set for themselves and could still have a successfull year !
well done to both teams for different reasons.

Hi lads from Evergreen or anyone else in Kilkenny,
Is there any place where Fairview Rangers supporters could go for a pint or something to eat which is close to the Evergreen pitch and also, which is the best way to get to the pitch? Thanks.

The pitch is out the Kells Road, its about 3 to 4 miles from town.
Evergreen are sponsored by Rafter Dempsey's Pub on Friart street, just off the main street. Nice pub and will be good craic afterwards win or lose.
All welcome!
