They were young and lively but not one player that really caught the eye in fairness. Their sweeper had a good delivery at set pieces which were troublesome, other than that they had very little to offer.A lot has to be said at how good Rathkeale played.
Lads, any report on the Dynamos match against St. Michaels ?

the sweeper was serious :) ;) don't know what game you were watching though to be honest. it was an absolute disgrace what went on, the linesman didnt put up his flag for the first goal when th player was litterly miles offside and the player he played the ball across to who scored the goal was offside as well, celtic lost the heads after that not just saying it from a celtic point of view but a footballing point of view it was a disgrace, we had a goal dissalowed that was perfectly legal as well.the linesman was asked who played th player onside for the first goal and he couldn't even tell.... says a lot!!! that being said it was a very poor celtic performance, worst in years i've seen and rathkeale probably wanted it more on the day but celtic were still robbed by disgraceful officials!! they should be ashamed in the name of fairness and football in total!!

threefivetwo, you were angry in your posts before the match on Sunday and now you're still angry!
The better team one , even your manager said the same after the match.
Best of luck for the rest of the season.:p

Were Castlebar Celtic robbed? Reports up here sounded as if that there was a miscarriage of justice.

Celtic's disallowed goals and Rathkeale's equaliser ended up as major topics on the match reports on the local papers. A newspaper column suggested that there should be referees from neutral leagues from the last 64 onwards. The Celtic gaffer was interviewed and he was seething over their defeat. Hopefully, we won't be writing harsh tales on our trip to Cork.

I watched the 4thrd game between Dillons Cross an Ballyvolane in Cork yesterday.I hope knowone from Westport traveled down to have a sneaky look.I would have worried for his safety while he was drivin back up with all the laughin he would have done at the prospect of facin one of these sides in the open rd of the Fai.

So, they must be rubbish by Cork standards then?

By anyones standards there poor.Dont get me wrong but I watched Regional against BlarneySt on Saturday and any of those sides would have hit them for 4 or 5 without breakin a sweat.Good hard workin lads but against Westport t'is the mis match of round if not the competition.

as i said it was a very poor celtic team, worst in years but still were robbed by disgraceful decisions rathkeale probably were the better team but still didn't desreve to win it was a joke that went on and please be honest about it if you were there, first goal was in no way a goal and the second came a few minutes later due to celtic being so shocked and dissapointed with what just went on before that, plus we had a perfectly allowed goal dissalowed for some strange reason n o one can explain, i know i'm a celtic man but if that had happened to any other team i would feel bad for them because it's not being honest from the officials point of view!!

Classic FC are in the second division in Kerry. A new team in their second season. Havent faced decent opposition yet and any team with fai ambitions should find it a stroll in the park.

i suppose you can only use the officials that are given on the day if it was on in mayo maybe ye might have got the rub of the green but thats football isnt it. the goal that ye taught to be off side might have been but when our player squared it the player that scored was behind him so that would mean he was not off side. anyway not to be getting bitchy hard luck and better luck next year;)

Redcastle are not playing Milford Utd until after the new year, because the Donegal league are taking a break.Redcastle can do nothing about it as they play in the Inishowen league.

Cheers for that but we were told that we have to have a pitch for the 4th of Jan as Redcastle were playing Millford tomorrow. The FAI usually over rules each league and makes the games go ahead. If its not played tomorrow will it be on the 4th of Jan so?

Im just after being informed that the Redcastle v Milford match will be played tomorrow. If Redcastles pitch is not playable there is another pitch on standby.Sorry for the wrong information earlier.FAI must have intervened because the Donegal league are on a break until the new year.

Sunday at 2:00 in Cork then. Is the game going ahead in Dillon's pitch or is it beingg switched to Mayfield? There are two buses of supporters travelling down to the game, plus others that are driving down by car. I hear that there is going to be a reception for the Westport United supporters in The Shelbourne Bar on MacCurtain Street on Saturday evening. From the reports of the Westport spies, Dillons Cross are made out to be a better side than what was posted on the site.
