summerville 1 - 2 fairview 2 sent off for fairview fairly poor standard from both sides despite the sending offs game wasn't played in bad spirit,better side won but sville pushed hard right till the end,

mungret 1 - 2 boro .well fought game.mungret levelled on the hour mark and a defensive error saw boro get a winner with about 15 mins to go.

Ya it was a well fought game, there was nothing between the two sides.
I thought mungret wud go on to win it after dunworth equalised, they had excellent chances to go ahead but a dreadful defensive error won it in the end for boro.

Ya i agree..I thought the ref didnt have a great game i no its hard but i thought he got a few big decisions wrong like when crew had the ball over the line in the first half and he didnt give it and when he gave the peno to crew it looked to be outside the box..Crew deserved the win they have a fine set up up there

Excellent match best i seen in a long time it had everything,goals/sending off's and peno's,both teams missed great chances,second carew goal was brilliant great run by sla i dont think the balla defence will be happy with it tho,you would wonder why carew park are not higher up the table maybe now they have their own field they might start popping up the table.

very good game as other lads have said.plenty of chances for both teams even in the shoot out.Have to agree with comments regarding the ref not up for this game at all some terrible decisions have to say i thought the 2nd balla goal should have been a free out for carew and carews 2nd goal from the spot was a bit dodgy to say the least looked about 2 or 3 yards outside the box when challenged.Best of luck to carew in comp.anyone else got an opinion on sending offs. . no not really, ref was a little whistle happy alright. maher threw an elbow, keating threw a punch after a 50/50 challenge. no real bad challenges in d game although think d 'view wanted a yellow card for every free after their man got sent off in 1st half. Fairview deffo deserved d win but it wasn't 2 easy for them

well we don't give any team a handy game to be honest...we should have taken our chance when they were at 9 men but didnt so best of luck to the view in the next round..they will have to improve if they are to progress though!!

Amazing is'nt it! Carrick Utd beat Killester in this years final , qualify for last sixteen of FAI Senior Cup and meeting Crystal , 06 winners, in the next round and one of them is going to be gone! Its the tie of the round no doubt and nobody's talking about it. The FAI should be highlighting it as a major attraction. This is what Junior Soccer is all about, they should be saying. Come on lads , get the finger out.

Draw is made and Carrick are away to Glass. Bohs play Johnville in the other game. The amount of teams qualifying from your area depends on the number who enter from Round 1.

There are only 64 qualify for the "out of town" in the FAI from the whole of the country. I think the Munster Breakdown is:
Cork AUL + West Cork League + MSL (Junior section) = 7
Limerick District = 6
Clare + Limerick Desmond + Kerry = 5 (I think)
North Tipp + South Tipp + East Cork West Waterford = 5 (I think)
Waterford & District = 2

So the Waterford & District league only gets two... But for sure those two that do come through will be real challengers for the title... So I don't think it is necessarily on the "strength" of the league but on the numbers in the leagues...

We are on the same hymn sheet. But again politics are at work here. West Waterford should be part of Waterford League and Tipp stay a separate entity. It makes sense. I wonder where that decision was made and by whom?
