I think all signings are finished at the end of the window.

Well done Kinsale - is it last 16 or 8 now?

From Martin Conlon on corkaul.com in July

Rule 33:
a) The registration period for the amateur game shall be 1 June to 31 March inclusive for the winter season. b) The two (2) transfer periods for the amateur game shall be 1 June to 30 September inclusive and 1 December to 31 January inclusive.

Since i am not trying to transfer players i can assume that players who havent played with another club can be registered outside the window . Have i answered my own question??

My apologies for that one lads I suppose it was a bit harsh. No Olachico , I have nothing to do with the Blarney St. team.

watched the game on sat and thought kinsale were worthy winners..twas a poor game but i dont think this will bother kinsale..at this stage its all about results and they got exactly what they wanted so well done to all.. thought nenagh were poor enough and never really put kinsale under huge pressure but they were always in with a chance while it was 1-0.. once kinsale got the second an excelllent header the game was finished as a contest.. no stand out performances for me altough o regan in goal was very solid particularly his handling and dealt with everything that was thrown at him.. keep it going bog.. well done

Cheers lads. We're all delighted with the result. Not a great game but it's the result that matters. I dont think many teams will out battle us this year and with players like McCarthy, Varian, Holland and Harrington to add that touch of class it makes things exciting for the future. Last 16 now and fingers crossed for a home draw. Would love a big limerick team. They talk themselves up so much on the other thread it would be great to get a chance to stuff them! No such thing as winning graciously there!

As Peter said in the paper today the midfiled worked their socks off. To be fair there wasnt much for Pa to do in goal. Two crosses came in in the second half that could of spelt trouble and the long haired fella had a header but other than that not much to worry about. They passed it about without probing. Suits us grand. We could have scored a few more to make it easier but where's the fun in that?:p Big dec got a great header as well. Good reward to some fine performances from him lately;).

This weather is depressing! Will it snow or just get warmer! Few games this weekend wouldn't go a miss.

Easy knowing we havent many games to discuss when we get so much fun watching a keeper walk himself into 100 press-ups!!

The FAI site review of the junior cup didnt even mention Kinsale. Is it just Douglas Hall left as the other Cork representative? From what I see and know, would it be wrong to match MSL Junior Premier with our 1st division?

On our 2-0 win in the AOH at the weekend against Grangevale, it was a sticky game on a sticky pitch. We werent sure how we would bounce back after not doing ourselves justice the week before, but we played well. The three ex Villa lads did well, with Jason Forde standing out. Rafael, the goalie who had trained with Villa made a very steady debut. Just as well as our regular keeper broke 2 fingers against Dungarvan and played 70 minutes not knowing it.

The cold weather wont do much for drying the pitches will it? The period without games seems to get longer around Christmas every year. Roscommon, the AUL opponents, play a summer season

I Casilles would like to offer an apology to all I offended with my last post.

To Streetscene I apoligise for for my last post, it was not meant in an offensive manner but in a bit of fun since I had been on another piece of modern technology called the mobile phone to you only a few minutes earlier telling you the game was in Blarney at 2pm.:p

To Junglegym I apoligise for my last post but I believe we have Usernames for a reason I know Strretwise may have let it slip who I was to you at work but no need to bring who I was in to the public domain.:(

To Horse24 I apoligise for my last post and at least if its me who is getting it at least some other fella is been left alone, as you know yourself from days gone by I have a big enough chest to take it!!!

To Littleman I apoligise for my last post and I apologise for having a sense of humour in case you didnt not know myself an Streetscene know each other very well and like to have a bit of banter with each other. You might try taking it up.

I dont think so.
At the end of a season what stops 10 A-team players transferring down to a b team to help stop them being relegated or to win the league etc

olachico
05/02/2009, 5:09 PM
I know of a situation in the past whereby a player transferred down to a B team having played 8 games. He was however unable to play for the A team again for the remainder of the season . This was a few years ago mind! Probably best to get the club secretary to check withthe AUL secretary - that way you will get a definite answer

This was of course pre transfer window rule so if you find out anything i'd be interested in knowing

Heard this aswell, very Cocky indeed if its true.
As for the game the better team won.Blarney Street could have had a penalty and could have got a late equaliser but it wasnt to be.Other than that they offered little in attack.
Both Leesides goals were good goals and other than those we didnt create much either.

I watched the game too an it wasnt the best affair but that was down to the state of the pitch rather than any ability.2 teams both gave it their best an I dont know if I agree with your opinion exactly Towlie but maybe Leeside just about shaded it.The subs Leeside brought on made a huge difference to ye.Good fit young players eager to run an as in the 2 nd Leeside goal well taken .

Our game against Coachford was just about what I expected.A very rusty first 45 followed by a very much improved 2nd.Tis what you'd expect havin not played a competitive game for so long.Lucky for us the lads have been training hard so our fittness showed big time in the 2nd half. The score was 3/1 at full time though we had an easy 4 one on ones we should have added to the score in the 2nd half. The first half was all about gettin goin an the 2nd we got into our stride an played like our old selves for the first time in what seems like an age.Good to see some of the lads in full flight an enjoyin themselves again..

well if our own keeper is not backing us we dont have much point turning up on sunday do we:confused::confused::confused:

Well lads on been overcofident you only need to look above at my predictions. I have the utmost respect for Leeside and knew going down there was gonna be tough. Been honest I taught we left it there, in terms of possession.didnt get enough men in the box when balls were crossed in. 1st half bar the Leeside goal there was nothing for both teams, 2nd half we had 60% if not more but all that matters is putting the ball in the net which Leeside did, On consceding the 2nd we were pushing on and it was just a clearence from the Leeside defence that went over every1 and the centre forward was quickiest to it{not taking anything away from the finish} I even commeted to Betts that we would then go on an score but 2 goals was atough 1 to do with 10 to go. danny Q had a half chance and John Betts right at the end poked wide from 4 yards out but in fairness to John it just came at him. If you spoke to the Leeside gaffer I would say they were very happy getting the win.

Scouting missions now yer defentily taking the ****!!! and down in Waterford dont think the Treasuer would saction that
If there was {and i dont think there was} a scout down there I or the gaffer knew nothing about it. Watched Dungarven Vs Blackstone earlier in the month alright .

Lastly best of luck to Leeside in the MJC and to the Cork AUL up in Roscommon

very dissapointing result for us on sunday and before ye jump down my throat im not taking anything away from leeside.they deserved their win simply because they scored more goals than us but at the end of the day we could not get past their back four who were rock solid and that was the difference in a nutshell. my dissapointment comes from our performance. as long as i am involved with this team that was the worst performance i have seen.we could not string two passes together and looked like we lacked belief in a dismal first half.leeside scored their first goal from a corner which to our keeper did manage to get a punch on to the edge of the box but the ball fell to one of their lads on the who drilled it back in through a sea of bodies into the back of the net. cant remember anything else worth mentioning from the first half... more to come

streetscene
10/02/2009, 10:02 PM
second half was slightly better but still nowhere near good enough. we did manage to keep the ball better and put a few passes together but everything we threw at them came straight back at us and we just could not make any impact against their back four. we did domonate for a spell but as alaways happens when your pushing on you leave yourself open to the break and this is exactly what happened.with 4 or 5 passes they cut us open and in all fairnes to the lad who finished he took it well. we did manage to get one back with 5 to go through an own goal which was the only way we were going to score. we did have one or two half chances in the last few mins particularly with john betts who after a scramble in the box found the ball stuck under his feet and his scuffed shot agonisingly fell the wrong side of the post.. summed up our day really..messy,scrappy and totally frustrating
